Professors in Arabic from Harvard do not pronounce "H" in "Darb al Mahabba" "road of love" as you do it, and "A" as tesaal Ayouni "Ask my eyes"

Arabic is the 2nd hardest here after Korean ..

Your pronounciation is better than all whom I met here

Even Arabs could not perform these songs as you do ... how can you!?

Hi neilraghib!

The song is not actually recomposed. I just use a guitar and play chords instead of playing oud. Carl-Michael Bellman often "borrowed" famous tunes of his time to make songs out of his poetry. He also wrote some of his own tunes, but mostly he was a poet. I really love this song and nowdays there are so many people from Iraq here in Sweden, that I often get the opportunity to share their music with them. I´m greatful!

This is truley a beautiful transcription of " mandal dallouni " into what would have been a composition by Carl Bellman.I have listened to some of Bellman's songs and found them to be melodic , warm and somewhat melencholic,perhaps typical of the baroque style . I have never heard an iraqi song re composed in a western style before . Could it be that yours is the first ? If so , well done , you have made an excellent job of it.
