BUT...not all emo's are middle class kids who feel the need to create depression for themselves. emo is a style. anyone who takes it beyond that has lost the point of it in the first place. and many people, middle class or not, do go through pain and have not found a good way to let it out, so they show it through whatever the media has in hand at the moment. many "emo" people also don't cut, or burn, or sob hysterically during class.
