  • GM and chrysler made horrible cars since the 70's. cars got bigger, uglier, boring and just CRAP.

  • Screw GM and Chrysler and Ford. They are all crap cars made by arrogant makers that always made false BS claims.

  • If GM and Chrysler go away, atleast they won't be stealing any more of MY tax money

  • If GM and Chrysler want to sell cars... just make them as reliable as Hondas and Toyotas... Ever looked at a consumer report for cars... Honda and Toyota have great scores all around... while you still see many problems with GM and Chrysler products. Reliability is why people buy Japanese cars.

  • an american company will never die in its own country unfortunately.... I would run out of people with v8's to piss off in the next five years when all of the 2001 and below models are in the junkyard.

  • i thought Chrysler is part of fiat

  • You want to know a great deal? There are a lot of Pontiac GTOs for sale used for REAL cheap.

  • I would love to get a G8 or Soltice

Theres nothing like a new car that new car smell the immediate drop in value and the occasional recall who would buy used

No really though just when GM was FINALLY getting it right soltice, camaro, g8, rwd caddies.

I would say dodge was getting it right but you can't get a good v6 car lots of people where having to replace their MITSUBISHI v6 before the warranty was up (3yr/36k miles) and dodge was refusing to replace them.

Cant go wrong with hemi though

  • yeah dodge and GM had some good cars before they went bust. I would highly recommend a solstice, it a a great roadster. I think GM will manage so I will continue to support them. The engine in the solstice is in other GM cars so there is no fear there. I would avoid the G8, the last thing we need is another huge sedan choking our roads.

  • I would love to have a G8 it can actually carry people has good trunk space good mpg handles good looks good If you think v8s are bad on the environment then what does that make a prius

It takes 10 years of driving an H2 to make up for the batteries of the Prius.

And when driven right I got more mpg out of a v8 than an accord vtec simply because I was never stressing the motor on the other hand the power was there when i needed/wanted it to be.

  • its not the engine thats the problem, thats it virtue, its the size. Your used to an H2 which is a tank but the G8 is also larger than needed. Unless your big I understand the G8 but if your not I would go for the Solstice. Its better on gas, rare as a ferrari, and as fun as a corvette.

  • I can't carry four other people and anything else in a Solstice can I?

Solstice is fine for some people but not practical for most.

Besides a G8 does excellent mpg.

My first car was a retired cop car and when I drove it right I was getting 26mpg in town in a huge v8 crown vic very quick and EPA est is 17 and my second car was an Accord 4cyl in excellent condition and I still only got 22mpg in town. I'm actually a mechanic so I deal with all kinds of cars and I don't trust a GM 4cyl

  • I understand. I like the G8 it should have been Pontiac's savior but people ignored it and bought Camry/Accord instead.

  • Most Camry/Accord buyers wouldn't buy American anyways reguardless of how nice.

Anyways everyone says the G8 was a big hit for Pontiac it is waaaaaaaaay more popular than the Booniville that it replaced infact thats what GM plans to save out of pontiac. It's going to become the Chevy Commodore and there will be a Cop car of it it will replace the impala.

Reguardless I can't believe Saturn is being bought (never turned a prophet since day one) and pontiac is being killed not to mention saab

  • if GM closes down would be better cos will not have anymore rubbish cars on the road

  • only thing i hate about gm is the fact that cars are too big... but GM tuning is fairly good, problem is the cars are too big and the american market is rediclous. Everyone wants big cars. I mean, the C6 isnt bad, and can get 25mpg with the ls3. not bad for a v8 with 500+hp

  • GM already sent out news letters to all there dealers. The letter states 2011 is the last year for the new V8 Camaro and the Only ZR-1 & Z06 vettes. But they have been working on a twin turbo V6 for the vette for 2 years now. It might make it into both cars by 2012.

  • so no more V8 Vettes? then whats the point buying

  • how cheap do u think the deals for new cars at closing dealerships can go? Is it possible to get a new, lets say, 2008 or 09 Ford Focus for less than 10k?

  • probably not much of a difference over MSRP because they can always just move the cars to another dealer. They dont necessarily have to sell all their cars.

  • ford isn't closing dealers

  • why would you want to buy an american shit box?

  • lol... just for transportation... and if i COULD get a new shitbox for less than 10k, i think it'd be worth it... right? lol

  • Absolutely, If you could get it for that much or little.

  • why do you want to buy a Korean shit box?

  • No thanks, no korean shit box for me. I'll keep my Acura TL.

  • i've seen chevy cobalts for 10K

  • BUILD MORE CAMAROS DUMB GM!!!

  • So basically this is fail? That was a pretty dodgy answer about the warranty.

  • The government will warrant the product. She said that. She didn't dodge the question at all.

Ultimately and overall, there are minimal changes on the consumer level and there is nothing to worry about as long as you read your documents.

  • Alright, that sounds like a relief

  • Did she die?

  • ur so gay u fag

  • haha

  • i'm gonna try to get my g8

  • I wana see ya, in a Kia ;)

I don't really i just love that slogan lol

  • and she always says i think meaning im not sure and if you get screw thats your falt for buying a gm lol

  • ????? english?

  • GM fail!!!

  • LOL GM FAIL dont buy a gm the government say a lot of thing and most of the time dose not stand behide it

  • The ones I feel sorry for are the true car guys at all three American car companies who have to suffer for the greed and bad decision-making of both management and the UAW. By now, there should be hybrid Mustang GT's, Camaro SS's and Challenger SRT-8's with battery packs so small they'd fit in a corner of the trunk. But R&D in that area was always underfunded. By the way, except for Toyota and Honda, where's all the Japanese hybrids? Just wondering;-)

  • Fiat now controls the Viper!

  • I know, it's hilarious!!!

  • it may not affect consumers but losing 80,000 jobs will affect the economy...

  • Why is GM getting rid of Pontiac? I mean I understand getting rid of Hummer but Pontiac has always been a nicers GM but under the Caddy.

  • For too long, GM treated Pontiac like a stepchild. Everything Pontiac sells except the Solstice and the G8 is about as exciting as dishwater. G3=Chevy Aveo, G5=Chevy Cobalt, G6=Chevy Malibu, Vibe=Toyota Matrix, Torrent=Chevy Equinox. The Solstice was shared with Saturn and Opel (Sky, GT). The only unique car Pontiac sells is the G8. Maybe after Pontiac goes away, they'll make it the new Chevy Impala, and shove the FWD version off a 500-foot cliff. But I'm keeping my cherry '84 Fiero.

  • and this does not affect me at all, there should have been a asterisk. i would never buy a gm or chrysler product.

  • how gay no more CHALLEGERS,VIPERS,CHARGERS,

    RAMS,300s, HOW GAY FUCK GM

    CRYSLER BETTER

  • Comment removed

  • no? ugh in case you didnt listen they arent in bankruptcy with their partnership with fiat

  • I guess they got what they deserved. But the people who will suffer the effects of this are the new owners and of course the workforce. I hope the best for the last 2.

  • Survival of the fittest.

Now you get to see GM become 1/10 of its previous self

  • hahahaha ... I just checked out the april 2009 consumer reports magazine and found out that my car, a jeep wrangler unlimited, was the worst car tested (17 of 100 points) and was made by the worst car maker brand (Chrysler LLC, ranked dead last ... again).

hahahaha ... I'm gonna go shoot myself in the head now.

    BANG ======> DEAD

  • Consumer reports measures the wrangler unfairly. It is a purpose built car, its not a BMW or a Lexus. It does what its designed to do better than anybody else. That is, go offroad.

  • According to their survey and report:

    Best off-roaders

    1. Toyota FJ Cruiser

    2. Toyota Landcruiser

    3. HummerH2

    4. Land Rover LR3

    5. Toyota Tacoma TRD

  • Bahahahaha. Dirt road doesn't count. Trust me, I go offroading. We've had FJ cruises and H2s with us before, they can't even compare to the Wrangler. The problem is consumer reports does alot of their "ratings" based on how much money is "donated" by auto companies. Not to mention they have always been pro-foreign.

  • I actually sold my old Landcruiser fj40 (which I loved to bits) to get my Wrangler. To be honest, I think I loved that old banger more. Ooops, why am I replying to you ... I'm supposed to be dead.

  • ^^Exactly

Donations are what they live from. Toyotas have bad traction off road.

The best off road brands are Jeep, Land Rover, Mercedes.

  • Saturn and pontiac wont go away? NO!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Saturn not.

  • Dude, that girl looks pissed off. and she's ugly. They usually have some hot chick with a big fake smile and that sounds enthusiastic. WTF?

  • free GM give away!

  • I'll have a Camaro :D.

  • I want my tax money back :D

  • Me too :D

  • ditto

  • fuck american cars.

    jdm for life.

  • yea with these huge rebates, the company has to sell them to the dealers too cheap. not much money made, especially when volume sales are down.

  • What about warranty? They won't go away?

  • Everybody wants these "great deals" but that doesn't help the company..... If everybody payed the sticker price, their wouldn't be this problem.

  • If everyone paid sticker price they'd have an expensive shit car, the cars are finnally showing their true value

  • Well, I have an old '93 benz that still runs like new. Looks like I lucked out :)

  • But Germans have dropped a bit of their legendary quality over the past 15 years. They want to reduce costs so they can expand to new markets.

  • Yeah... tell me about it. That's why I'm glad my car is 17 years old ;). Not gonna get a new car until this economy picks up, I can't afford anything else.

  • Too bad..this economy will only get worse.

  • Funny how that works, isn't it?

  • It only just pisses me off..

  • Yeah... it's doing that to a lot of people right now.

  • Really good info, thanks for the video.

  • second

  • congraduations. Do you want a cookie?

  • he doesnt deserve it

  • yes i do thanks:)
