  • can someone please tell me exactly what the guy on the right is using to get this tone?, this is exactly what i need tone wise, obviously you're using the Randall Rg50, but what pedals are you playing through?, cuz i sounds like theres a noise gate, and maybe a compressor in the mix?, anyway, great fucking tone dude, very brutal and exactly what im looking for

  • Oh, I have this amp, can you say me how can I make this type of sound, I can´t find it!, So can you recomend me the equipament an EQ for this sound? Thanks!

  • i have this amp!!

  • i have this amp!!

  • This song has the power to kill a fetus bring it back to life and kill it again

  • che scrausi

  • Oh wait, just spotted the link lol. Nice to see a fellow leftie for once!!!

  • Wow some pretty damn awesome riffage. Anything recorded?

  • VERY FUCKING NICE!!!! 2 Thumbs up.

  • Sounds friggin sweet! O.O Like the song also. \nn/,

  • Ive both got an Schecter guitar, C-7. Aswell as an Randall RG50TC amplifer.. KICKASS! I just need to learn how to tune the guitar in Standard C...

  • this sounds gr8 for the price!!!

  • hey i play death and i want to buy a good guitar combo with much gain.should i take randall rg50?

  • buy Lag Arkane

  • Obivously theirs alot of eq done from mic'ing.

  • I don't understand one thing. The tone on this video decent, but whenever I use this amp I can't get it to not sound too muddy.

Were the amps in this vid modified in any way?

  • micing them probly helped alot

  • peavey "sheffield" speaker coming from an ultra+ cab .

    that's the secret .

  • Maybe try another cabinet? something closed back to tighten it up (open back cabs are way too loose for hard rock /metal) increase your hi's and middle a tad. Out of all the demos Ive heard of this amp none have sounded the least bit muddy. The only way I can describe its hi gain sound is that its a very boutique sounding hi-gain, like a bogner...tight, but vintage midrange-y Jerry Cantrell type tone

  • i have this amp, its good but,

i strongly recommend to anyone to use a noise surpressor pedal to take out the hum feedback, its great but you need to turn it right up to really get the most of the gain, and thats where the hum and nopise gets annoying, so yeah great amp but should be used with a noisegate pedal if u gonnna turn the gain up high

  • @ChaosRiddenReaper well i play punk so feedback for me is cool, lol

  • I think this video is edited so that it goes straight from an image of them plugging in to one of them playing.

  • ever think they just played the song, then later they got the shots for the plug in, and the close up? every pro vid is eddited in some way, sound, title ect

  • maybe...but this doesn't seem too edited at all. The sound isn't mastered sounding, very little compression. Also the drums sound like a they were created in a program. I'm fairly certain they just recorded this as the drums played and switched to the mics towards the amps instead of using the camera or room mics

  • Is this strictly the amp? They aren't using any pedals or anything like that?

  • Comment removed

  • cool

  • any tube amp i've heard was still pretty F***ing loud. :)

  • Tube amps are louder than Transistor amps and they cause at least as much feedback than transistor amps

  • QUESTION PEOPLE... am i right in sayin tube amps are high in distortion and have little or no feedback/hum. BUT.. are prone to breakdowns??? with the pre amps etc

  • not all tube amps r high in distortion, fender, equater, vox etc... r known for classic clean tones and r mostly tube. randall, krank, madison, engl, r known for high gain and r tube. it depends on the amp. yes they have way less feedback and humm but do breakdown mor, tubes gotta be replaced about 2 years or wen they break(glass) but in most cases sound nicer.

  • solid states generally have more preamp gain. tube amps might or might not have more noise/hum. and they are more prone to breakdowns than solid state, but they're easier to repair

  • so this is really loud for only 50 watts?

  • The ending is funny.

    Good amp

  • oh, randall! lol

  • what's with the giggling while pulling the cable out of the amp at the end of this video? Were you guys not really playing through these??

  • lol, it's not pulling out but a plug in try, and we are giggling because i aimed like shit....it's just a fun bonus...

we were playing through these, don't worry...

  • so, ive pretty much heard this can be easily heard in band practice and small gigs without PA. so how good is the sustain?

  • the sustain is really nice with my emg 81 and 85. This thing is also loud as hell.

  • sympathique =)

    bonne continuation

  • sounds fucking great! i'm thinking of getting this amp, too... how often do you have to change the tubes? and how expensive are they?

  • power tubes, I usually change them every other 6 months. and I normal change the preamp tubes once every 2-3 years

  • why?? what happens you change em?????

  • does this amp have an FXloop?

  • I think it sounds better here than in KraHenN myspace. that's interesting...

  • because here, it is peavey sheffield hp (1290); in KHN myspace, it is celestion seventy 80 hp...and of, course, here, there is no high pass filter because there is no bass guitar...so it sounds bigger...

    keep on metal

  • ou yea.. i have this amp. it's really amazing..

  • rg50tc is amazing!!!!!

  • im thinking of buying this amp, is it a bit advanced for a learning guitarist, well i been playing over a year now. but i believe in getting a great amp then there no nered for all theese pedals/expensive guitars

  • Shecters, Randalls, De-tuned, Fucking hardcore riffs, badass drums.

    Fuck YES.

  • I love the half done in scallopes at the end of the fretboard!

  • Whats better the Randall RH150G3+ or the RH50TC? I am looking at both not sure which one to go for tho. Oh and are the G3 series cabs any good?

  • if you have money, take rh150g3 valve head and some nice box

if you don't have much money then take rg50tc, it is great even for small gig, for something bigger borrow someone's box and that's it :D

and buy some noise reducers or distortions ;)

(i will buy rg50tc and korg ax1500g soon)

  • the rh150g3 is solid state dude

  • rh150g3 is solid state or transistor (same thing)

but the rg50tc should do at any gig... at bigger gigs, they will let you use their PA so its allright

    50watt all tube ~ 120watt solid state

  • yo, i have both, rh150 is very very louder than rg50tc....if you need an amp to play with drummer, rg50 is a bit small, rh150 will be better...if you play with sono rg50tc is amazing....

  • My cube 30 (which is a solid state) is just not loud enough too handle band rehearsals (yay for the bass player his PA!! ^^) But an all tube combo 50 watts should easily be loud enough for small gigs without PA and big gigs with PA... the rg should kick a drummers ass when it comes to volume since its a 50 watts tube combo

anyways, do you recommend the rg50tc to a die-hard metallica fan who is lead guitarist in a metalband?

  • yes i recommend this amp for metallica fan because, kirk is now on randall...it is a wonderful amp but it doesn't sound like metallica...it sounds very modern metal...

  • Yeah i know that kirk has his own signature amp at randall but kirk has never used randall amplifiers... He usually uses mesa boogie dual rectifiers and no randall which i find quite weird as he has his own signature amp at randall

But yeah, awesome amps like the mesa also carry awesome price tags and i can't afford that

anyways, ty for responding and helping:p

  • I want the RG50tc to tubepower my PODx3. Is the cleanchannel good? And on what channel did these 2 bald guys play? Is this the most extreme setting? Because I also want to use the amp for extreme deathcore and the tone of the 2 bald guys is good but I don´t think it´s extreme enough. :S

  • do you mean the RG50TC? because if so, take it. since its tube and at 50 watts, it will get veeery loud. ive never gotten to play one, but it seems like a better buy

  • does this amp hav a good clean sound too?

  • yup.

  • I had that amp, i trade it for a jcm800 bad trade! I'm sure that i will bought it again in the near future! Awesome amp! Clean is great!

  • Ah! Badass!

  • Awesome!

  • mate, get a Boss MD-2!! it makes any guitar and amp sound savage!!!!!!

  • whats wrong with the distortion on those amps? They sound beautiful.

  • oh the guy a few down was asking how he could get heavy distortion sounds like this, and i just recomended the Boss MD-2, i have toooo faults at all with this video ;)

  • haha alright, it was going to say your insane for putting and OD pedal in front of this amp.

  • great sounding amp

  • have a boss HM-2 , sounds "crap" in it if you want death metal distortion . sounds nice for drone and stoner ... clean sound is not awesome but useable . distortion kills . pantera mixed with some tube amp soul ... lovely tone. could be tighter i think , but i don't want a tight amp if it's as sterile as ENGL are . definitively recommend this amp :D

if you have another questions , don't hestitate to ask me ...

  • hey man, is the reverb on the amp usable? i tried a randall RG200 at a shop. on clean settings i could hear some of the reverb if at max but with distortion on even at maximum i couldn't hear it. my main axe is a dean from hell. if i don't take this one i think i'm gonna get a fender blues deluxe because that one I KNOW that it has great cleans and i can just put a digitech grunge and get pretty heavy distortion

  • my amps sounds exatly like that with my ibanez ... no problem . they have sheffield speakers so the sound is a bit better

  • Nice music.

    These guys have got balls.

    I thing about buying

    Schecter REVENGER-FR STBLK.

    Is it a good joice?

  • Nice video production, music was bollocks!

  • one question... does this amp give nice high-pitched squeals?

  • it also depends on the effects and pedals, pickups, strings.. and skills

  • i mean just the amp by itself...

  • no

the squels is called pitch harmonics

its gets u the player, the audience, n the guitar and the amp excited.

  • yeah i know what they're called, I just call em that cuz i'm too lazy to type it out :P

  • *pinch

they are called pinch harmonics and there is a difference between pick squeals and pinch harmonics.i can pick squeal like a champ but cant do pinch harmonics for dick

  • You can do pinch harmonics from every amp, just use the right technique, and turn open the gain.

Randall amps are really metal amps, i own the randall rx120d, they are made for metal, so you can pinch harmonics on this amp.

  • randall are kickass for glass-shattering-5-miles around harmonics . remember this name :dimebag darrell .

  • The dime-squeel ;)

    RIP Dime.

  • yeah . that squeal is easy to do with a dean w/SH13 or bill lawrence L500XL and a randall .

    RIP dime . yeah .

  • dude, sounds like a kick-ass amp... gonna save up for this monster!

  • are u using an overdrive pedal through the randall? cos i cant get it that heavy on my rg50tc. and can u send me ur settings on the randall?

    thanks

  • hello, no there 's no pedal...the settings are:

bass 5, mid&treble 7, gain1 6...with sheffield loudspeaker inside (the same as in the peavey ultra+ cabinet), it is very good too with a celestion g12h 100

    big thanx for your support...

  • shall i buy an ultra+ cabinet for my randall ?

should be fine , 4 sheffield speakers ...

  • you guys kick fucking ass!!!!!!!!some vocals and you guys are ready to rock the world

  • What kind of guitar is the left one using?

  • "schecter 007 elite"...

Been to school dummy ? It's like 2 comments below...

  • :) swietny utwor!

  • nice ... how is the schecter with the randall ? how does this amp sounds with a 7 string ?

how does compares the sheffield speaker with a vintage 30 or century vintage speaker ?

  • good playing, but i miss some ripping leads and a knock-out stage-performance.

  • awesome!!!

  • wat tunning do you think they we're using?

  • BEADGBE probs. Standard 7 string tuning.

  • they were using 6 string guitar right?

  • Nah, 7 strings.

  • nope the guy on the right is using a 7 strings and the guy on the left is using a 8 strings

  • missed, 7str both!!!!

  • ARG NOO! in the intro you turned power on then standby on STRAIGHT AWAY!

Regardless, its a nice sound you got from that amp.

  • i know haha i saw that too!!

  • this is AWESOME!!! what model arkane is he using?? and anyone know how to clean a matt black guitar...? my LAG is that colour but its impossible to clean haha

  • so funny...cause its like mirror images

didn't like the song to much though

  • Yeahh!!
