@tim60s321 This cannot be mediocre. Bunin put's so much emotion into this piece. Each interpretation can be to each persons liking but this- this is a masterpiece.
@SebmendezMusic Yes of course this isnt mediocre-I must have been very tired when I wrote that. I had been working my way through many different performances and was snowed under . However I still think Rubinstein played with the greatest precision and feeling but who am I to judge. I could never play anywhere near as well. Here is another precious, rare gem! Stanislav Bunin performance of Chopin - Polonaise As-Dur op 53 "Heroique" is perfect. His enthusiasm and passion re evident and the result is an unparalleled exceution. No need to say, he won the competition. Bravo!!!
Well, you can't say it isn't interesting. It keeps your attention the whole way through. ^_^ Yea, it isn't the smoothest (as other people are saying) but I'd say it's still a pretty darn good job. This is one of the hardest pieces I've ever played to keep it smooth.
It doesn't sound the smoothest probably because of the sound quality, and he does play a little rough sometimes. But this rendition is the most original one I have ever heard and the most interesting. I must say it resonates with me the best. The traditional way of playing this bores the hell out of me.
@alexmorrison23 In my humble opinion, he seems to play like Chopin would have played. Haunted, but gentle. Way to passionate, but needing to get his feelings out!

Goddamn, either do it better, or stop pretending to be. I cannot stand commentators who ridicule every flaw. As if this piece weren't hard enough already.
Imagine! A version actually played as if it a were a polonaise. You can actually hear the rythym of the polonaise clearly. This is wonderful and its a pity more people don't take the time to work on the pacing and rythym of the polonaise.

Great interpetation!!!
I'm not sure but I think that in 02:42 there's a chord mistake lol
(Not that I'm underate his performance,it's just a fact...I'm little near this guy,I wish I would make ten mistakes if could play like this XD)
