We visited while on holiday, i was disgusted. I have never seen a Cemetery get that bad and now it's even worse than the video shows it to be. There were people up there drinking and i presume...taking drugs. I watched a man pass two girls packets of something small that was white) Just shows how little people respect anything nowadays. If we lived there we would be helping to clear it. Also looks like several fires have been started up there recently. :(
That's just creepy. D; Why would someone dig up, open, and then empty a grave just to sleep in it or even worse, use it to throw stuff away in? There's something wrong with those people. They're deeply disturbed in the head.

I remember the Welsh Guards clearing this graveyard and am astonished that the maintenance has not been ongoing, the damage to those graves has been occuring for a very long time (years) but it does seem to be getting worse. Unfortunately this graveyard is THE drinking place for the local drunks and teens that live nearby.
You are of course correct, I have banged my head against a brick wall for so long it's not worth trying. At the end of the day, if the church would close it down then the Town Council would have to take it over if requested to do so by the Church. But as it remains open (i.e. still accepting burials then the council get away with it).

Amazing video. What's the point in dying if no one will bother to look after your grave? The vandals gather because they know that no one cares. If it was cut , tended , there'd be little vandalism there. Visit a grave yard overseas. The living have respect for us deadies over here. Next time I won't bother.
I agree 1000% (no typo) But as you say NO One cares, how the council can turn a blind eye to this is astonishing, yet they will sponsor meaningless events in town again and again! Last week £1,000 was paid by the ocunil to put on a little concert on the Maes, enough said!
I travelled from Canada this summer and was looking forward to finding some of my relatives in the cemetery including my great great grand-father, Lewis Lewis who was two time mayor of Caernarfon in the late 1800`s. I was horrified by what I found. I was able to find a plaque over the old Library with his name on it and I even met a wonderful man, Bobby Haynes, who was himself a former mayor. He shared my disgust at what has happened here.

I saw those same graves smashed up some 15 years or so ago. I also saw some sceleton and a skull too so I wouldn't be at all surprised if some of those graves are at least partly empty.
The point remains that the site was totally cleared by Captain Harman and his team of Welsh Guards two years ago. But despite their hard work it has been left to deteriorate once again. The graves shown are freshly vandalised done very recently.
The comment at the end of the video explains that the close proximity of the Church is usually cut. NOT the other part.

I used to walk through there 20 years ago and nothing's changed.
I know that doesn't make it right and it is disgracefull but it's been like that as long as I can remember.
