Doc say they dont drop it on tracks or water and only use it in remote country! Its absolute lies! I've been to drops 1 month after and still trodden on baits while on major tracks 2 minutes from the road. Theres killed stock, baits in water and simply the immense cruelty from 1080! There can be no justification for that!
I dont deny that there are more possums that is ideal, however using this footage or anything else in your defense of 1080 poison drops when you're killing countless amount of native birds is sick! The deaths of native birds by the drops is undeniable, i've read so many Doc studies myself and the proof is in the pudding! It says it all right there! You're killing the very thing you claim to want to save!

Nope, Happyhellybell, the non-target bykill is far, far lower than is made out by the anti-1080 campaign. Its minuscule compared to the carnage if you don't do anything. But 1080s a tool, we use other tools like stoat traps to protect birds in places where thats a better option. Right tool, right place, right time thats all we can do. But, we certainly are not killing everything with 1080 that's just a tied old slogan.
Whys havent you shown the full footage of this "possum attack" Why stop it early? Why not show us the full footage so we can see what actually happens? Maybe the next clip you put up on here aye? Also.. do you not have something more recent? 14 years old is a little prehistoric!
Because, Happyhellybell, this clip tells the story as it is. The story is the kiwi has to needlessly defend the nest, it's how eggs get cracked or broken. Why would we endlessly redo this kind of footage? We know possums are a problem for birds in burrows. Story ends.

Our studies do not prove that trapping is the best answer. Nothing you describe amounts to the apocalypse.
