LO ZOZZONE!!!! I like this show because it shows really a lot of things that are known just by the locals...I mean, never saw the zozzone in a tv show before! You can see the essence of the city
Kumquasta, what do you think? i like "no reservations" better than his new show. Too much going on with all the split screens. seems rushed, each episode. No res. had soul, much more information, and much more food.
@Antizzie32 no i agree, this show takes away the human side of the culture/food. it's too fast and unfocused. still i like it, but prefer no reservations
@adlr16 I really hope No Res will be making new shows - I bet one of those takes a lot more work, this is sort of... well, a 24-hour shoot I'd imagine. I like this one, and i love tony, but no res is magical, it's like no other show and has a lot of meaning for me
I actually love the new format as it gives you a good expression of what you as a normal person could do there, in no reservations there seems to be so much stuff going on that a "normal" visitor isnt really able to do / see.
But I love them both and love you for uploading all these great stuff :)
@umadbroxyo good points. i guess i was so used to the food/culture tourism aspect of no reservations. i think the new series moves a little too quickly and i can't get a good feeling of the place. nonetheless still enjoyable.
Dear Kumquatsta, ADORE YOU and your efforts. I live in Brasil, we are 2 years or more behind the shows in the US, thanks to you I can keep up with my fav travel/food show. Thank you so SO much for your time and work to posting these shows. Without you, I'd be back in 2009. Bravo!
@am3lya thanks for the "Spanish Steps". Just thought he drank too much. I know Tony's wife is Italian. Hope as well the layover episodes in Shanghai, Hong Kong.
@raychenon Well they are called the Spanish Steps in English. They are between Piazza di Spagna and Piazza Trinità dei Monti they were funded by the French ambassador back in those days to link the Bourbon Spanish Embassy, and the Trinità dei Monti church that was under the patronage of the Bourbon kings of France. So he's not wrong for saying that. And Anthony knows better than saying Gracias in Italy. His wife is Italian.
There's so much food porn in this episode. I wish Tony makes more Layover episodes in Italy. Oh please, let there be episodes about HK, Tokyo, Melbourne, Madrid or Bangkok!
@mkaladeras yes I'm really hoping for a Tokyo one as it was once my home I always love it when he goes to Japan but prettty much everywhere he goes!!!! HK & Shanghai would be great too!!!
@Th3MoTo no reservations = quick and robust look at a country and things that they do. the layover answers a question which is. "going to place X. have 24 hours. any ideas?"
@rostant999 I live BC, and I had to do a bit of research to find out what fellow Canadians are eating that stuff: apparently, you're right, it is the French, looks like most of that horse meat is going to Quebec and Eastern Canada

@kumquatsta Is this actually a "new show"? I just figured it was a mini spinoff within No Res... No Reservations is coming back in full right?

What's the difference between " The Layover " and " No Reservations " ?
Th3MoTo 3 months ago in playlist More videos from kumquatsta
@Th3MoTo I think with the layover he is only there for a short amount of time, like a day and a half. No Reservations is for a weeks visit or longer
