I think you guys miss the point on defense spending. The point is DETERRANT. I know there are bases that should be closed, and some programs that can be axed, but the key to keeping America safe has more to do with being capable of snuffing out any aggressor, not so much foreign relations. I know there are bases that should be closed, and some programs that can be axed, but the key to keeping America safe has more to do with being capable of snuffing out any aggressor, not so much foreign relations. Lower wages for politicians, stop buying Afghanistan and Pakistan's allegience, we can reduce the Alphabet soup of agencies back to CIA and FBI... no more tax dollars paying for vacations and reduce Defense budget to National Guard. Close mansions for Governors and let them live where they did before they were in office. Tax the Church, like any other business!! Stop arresting everyone for the purpose of revenue; it costs the tax payers more for free council then made from bail and probation.

@threepercenter03 Not for lower wages for people who have to maintain 2 residences but if they don't do what their hired to do then they should be voted out in their primary. Screw Afghan & Pak. I agree on not paying for vacations but reducing defense to just National Guard would be suicide. Governors need to live in the state capital unless u want only rich people running for governor then keep the governor house. U can't tax the church unless u want them to have more say in government.
