@oddtreenow2 This debate again? I was never abused, my parents split up years after I came out. I'm bisexual and have felt attracted to the male and female gender since I was 5. I didn't just decide it. I didn't know what it meant when I was that age, nobody does. If I could have chosen my sexuality I would have chosen to be straight. Ellen is the funniest woman alive, nothing against women stand up comedians, I just never really like their subjects, but Ellen is amazing, and her material is never dated, you can watch something from 1984 and feel the humor is right on target to what we could find funny today. I love Ellen!

When finding out he was cheating on her, she used that to open her eyes and realize what it was she really wanted. I know people who have tried to do that so they could conform to the ideas of the general public but realized they were denying themselves true love and happiness.

I saw Ellen perform for what I believe was one of her first performances. Her brother Vance was Bassist for a popular New Orleans band, "The Cold".

Ellen did a warm-up monologue on the stage of Grace King High School in suburban New Orleans. I can even remember one of the jokes !

This would have been the summer of 1980 or 1981. I can remember you could tell she was nervous. There were about 200 people "teenagers" in the audience.
