@atreides73 He is using enamel thinners to remove the excess enamel paint that isn't required on the model itself. He will have painted the model with acrylic paint so the enamel thinner won't strip the acrylic paint and only remove the excess enamel. He uses the cotton stick so as not to strip the enamel paint from the lines. He makes the enamel paint thinner and easier to apply by adding a little of the enamel thinner before applying to the model lines.
@dantito to delete partition line of canopy fill it with some plaster to avoid breaking it when hanfling it, then use water sandpaper starting from 600, 800, 1000 and 1200 grain, form bigger to finer grain, then polish the canopy with Meguiar´s plast x or some other very fine rubbing compound or liquid using a fine cotton cloth, then you can submerge the canopy into FUTURE (varnish for linoleum floors) to give it a real crystal looking. And you have a nice canopy ready to be masked and painted.
How long do you have to wait before rubbing the panel lines with the cotton bud??? doesnt the painted surface begin to melt when you rub it with thinner?
Please help me on this one, i scribed my lines, tinned up my enalmel black and dripped it onto the line. It runs along the line but when it dries it end up being some really light black line and sometimes its already really light when i first drip it on. Anybody know how i can solve these problems? 5/5 for te guy hoo doz it properly
Try adding more paint. Use better (and more expensive) paints with more dense and fine pigment. What paint are you using, enamel ar acrylic? I find Model Master paints to be OK, but for my warhammer miniatures, the best wash is made with specialized Citadel acrylic paint for figures (especialy, the so called INK-paint)
I used the enamel one, the tamiya one where they use it in videos :)i added so much paint the thinner wouldnt dissolve any more lol, btw how deep are my scribbed lines supposed to go? thx btw for ur help
Keep experimenting with different paint-thinner mixing ratios till you get a good compromise between thickness and flow. As Mindauxx said, you could try an acrylic wash, or even an oil based wash. Take a look at this video

It shows how to achieve good results using oil paints and mineral spirits.
You can obtain great results using several fine grit sandpapers (work your way up from 800 grit to 1400 and finer), then using a piece of cloth rub some toothpaste on the clear part untill you get an even finish. At this point, dip the cler part in Klear floor wax. Being a gloss-clear acrylic varnish, it will fill in the scratches and give the part an overall beter appearance.

Can someone please tell me what did he airbrushed to the panel lines at the end 7:35 ? And what was that for? Thank you beforehand.

@brolyss4
He sprayed in a layer of clear coat or future floor polish to preserve the decals and prevent them from being damaged from handling.

A 70-80% rubbing alcohol alternative will do if you have patience.
