The very first movie was "Star Wars" (1977). The next one was "The Empire Strikes Back" (1980). After that came "The Return of the Jedi"(1983). Then came "Episode I: The Phantom Menace" (1999), "Episode II: Attack of the Clones" (2002), and "Episode III: Revenge of the Sith" (2005). (The original three movies were renumbered after the release of the "episodes", which were prequels.)
