You're a born newscaster. Besides THE WHO playing at the Super bowel, CHICAGO and JETHRO TULL would have been my other choices since they're currently together and world known.
The Who proved again why they will be seen as one of the greatest live bands ever! Twelve minutes of high energy and passion at the superbowl is the evidence.
Think again! 70's bands make a crossover to many generations. While today's music only attracts a small minority for the lack of talent. Can't think of a 2010 musical act that would please the whole crowd. The talent pool is dwindling! Plus, the majority of the ticket buyers are of that generation!
If it was a bad choice...that would be mistaken by the very loud reception of the audience...and they all sang along! I think it was the best choice.
@noadlor I agree with you I saw them at halftime and thought they were great..I heard a lot of people were complaining about them I don't know what they were complaining about...some people I guess are never satisfied...
@ButteWhat the songs they played are very relevant to 2010 their songs are still used on CSI which is in the now... and songs as great as those are timeless
The Who and the WHO DAT NATION in the Superbowl! WHO DAT WHO DAT !!!! GEAUX SAINTS! Meet the Drew Brees. not Same as your father's oldsmobile. Archie WHO!???!?!?!? Peyton WHO??? It's spelled Payton, as in Coach Sean! SUPERBOWL XLIV! WHO DAT!
Whooooo Who Dat, WHO WHO, WHO DAT?
I stood back and I WHODAT, and Drew Brees blew back my hair!
...
So tell me now, Whoooooooo, WHO DAT? WHO WHO, WHO DAT?
im not gonna say gnr with slash axl duf and the whole crew kuz i thought we learned at the vmas gnr + live equals and i quote "thanks to this *** security im going home. (throws mic into stage)" so do da math...
chevelle, bowie, dope (not exactly family friendly tho), foo fighters, tool, apc, korn (agian with the not family friendly but that would kick ass), NIN, rammstein...or all together; that would be something to see
FUCK THE RULES!!!! Gwar should do the Super Bowl! other bands should be Metallica, AC/DC, Airbourne, Dio, Brad Paisley, Volbeat, The Answer, Apocalyptica, John Mellencamp, Bob Dylan or Kiss.
Yeah Foo Fighters maybe... or a bit newer, kings of leon, they rock pretty well, too! But my first thought was U2, they know how to make an interessting show :D
muse could definatelly play the super bowl. foo fighters might be able too if dave grohl watches his language unlike when he played wembley stadium... radiohead would be cool.
Muse, Disturbed could probably rock Land Of Confussion or Indestructable. Personally i would love to see Guns N' Roses perform live.
A few songs from the new album could easily rock the half time show. Better, There Was A Time, Chinese Democracy or I.R.S. would all sound great undoubtedly. I also think it would be the perfect venue to debut the new band in a large way. Just my personal opinion.
and your right, Testament has joined them, actually, theyre going to be special guest for the "American Carnage' tour it being, Slayer, Megadeth and Testament.
I just posted a comment, but I don't think it got here so. I don't like that background. I would prefer a big ass poster from a good band and I know it would be Radiohead. I would keep the guitars lower in the back.
And btw those rumors about Testament plaing Toronto are probably true considering that the American Carnage tour was just announced and Megadeth, Slayer, and Testament are on the bill!
Either The Dead Weather, or AC/DC, I know AC/DC is older, but they still kick ass. AC/DC would be alright, as long as they dont play anything off the Ballbreaker album
wow, the wall is different compared to now, lol
