  • I am not alone :)

  • the guitars part are magnificient...

  • Some real trance-inducing stuff. Not at all what I know KLF as.

  • @noizyme KLF is all about trance

  • this is one of my best songs ever, i love it so much, the news report ive searched for everywhere to try and find it RIP Jack Askidakos i want this played at my funeral, ive had so many drunken late nights by the fire with this song, star gazing , and falling asleep. this song is a journey

  • KLF have changed my life!!

  • Whose giving it a bad rap? They just have less than exquisite taste in music is all. This has a nice dose of Pink Floyd. type treatment. I'm likin' it!!

  • What would you say this song is about?

  • I live out in the country. This entire album is a real trip to listen to whenever I drive west towards the city when we hit the bars on a summer evening, or on the way back home as the sun is rising.

  • love the US radio samples. 17 year old Jack Afrodacos...

  • my dad loves this song ive heard it time and time again over the years ...when he has it on in the car i pretend i dont like it but i love it because it reminds me of my dad .. time goes by he gets older ...just dreading the day he goes ...love you dad

  • @calvbowler1 Hold on to that.... I promise you that you'll love this long before your dad goes :) Even if not know that your dad loves you more thn you'll ever ever ever imagine.

  • @calvbowler1 Hold on to that.... I promise you that you'll love this long before your dad goes :) Even if not know that your dad loves you more thn you'll ever ever ever imagine.

  • @calvbowler1 This song is great. If it reminds you of your Dad, so much the better.

  • sounds like Pink Floyd !

  • @muelleici better!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • the guitar warms my soul and makes me wish i had a backporch in the desert to stare up at the stars at night

  • this album is so special, it's like nothing else ever made

  • @aa7111 to me this is like the summery, on-the-road version of the album ISDN by FSOL. I recommend it.

  • @Bollo2 , I've got ISDN as well)). FSOL is one of my favourites, Dead Cities is an awesome album too

  • Bought this album last year and never get tired of listening to it. Gives me a permanant smile every time. Long live the KLF.

  • @jeancharlesdu21 No, they just prefer different music. I'm starting to hate those comments.

  • @WhiteStripe99 Some of them are quite original. Keep looking, you'll find some gems...but jeancharlesdu21 is right. and now it's up to 6!!!

  • @WhiteStripe99 I agree with you, the standard comments copied across every video like the "thumbs up if" ones all drive me mad. We're just here to listen to the music!!! Great music it is, if only MP3 and youTUBE had been about in the early 90's.

  • @jeancharlesdu21 make that 6, because this is shit.

  • Hello, can somebody tell me what is this piece from?

    "When the sun goes down..."

    4:45 - 4:50

  • Work of genius

  • Such a Epic tune, i love it

  • Reminds me of being 23 again, living at my grandma's home in rural PA... Having a bag of what was probably the best weed I ever smoked, taking baths, burning incense, and just relaxing and enjoying life. I can't believe that was 6 years ago, and my, how much life has changed in that time...

  • Brilliant. Eternal dawn.

  • i love the sounds in this.

i remember once tripping my box off ,just looking at the sunset over the sea and listening to this.i was so chilled .

  • immense euphoria when listening to this. Just wish I could live in it. The music they pump out nowadays isnt a patch on this stuff. Respect.

  • Just gorgeous. Chill Out was the first CD album I ever bought.

  • Brilliant,Timeless,Iconic...

    J.W.

  • I remember listening to this in Glasgow when it used to Snow, I remember fixing my brake calipers in the freezing cold and I was listening to this almost 20 years ago, Now I'm living in LA and this takes me back, I have a brake caliper in my hands and the orange glow from the street lights paints every tenement down the road, I can hear the 5A bus going to Vicy Rd, it seems magical to me now.

  • Still beautiful - after a while I'm listening to it again.

  • This takes Me back. How come acid country never took off as a genre ?

  • Som manero!!!

lembra um pouco som 70's - alguma coisa de pfloyd,gnesis,10cc...

    Excelente!!!!

  • I almost lost it when he was talking about "THE EAST COAST!" in the darn tranquil music. xD

    <3

  • Love it...

  • Hi mouse xxxxxx

  • space is not quite as epic as chill out. still nice to have. klf for life!

  • i think i might cry !! fucking great record!!

  • I MISS THE 90'S!!!!! :(

  • Just amazing still! Hearing this on an LP12 (see "record player - analogue - best way to listen to music") has got to be one of musics very finest soundseeing tours.

    Thanks for posting this.

  • BTW - anyone know who the steel guitarist was? Sounds like BJ Cole. Superb. Oh, re the analogue comment here,I'm not sure now!

  • 'Evil Graham Lee'

  • has me in a good place this one. but does anyone else think that it has a bit of pinkfloyd about it? ive thourght so for years now

  • yep would say the same

  • of course it has ;-)

  • This song is amazing, the album is. Puts me somewhere else in time!

  • Listened to this album to death when it first came out......still sounds as good today....nothing like it,

  • That steel guitar is very powerful! where did the KLF steal it from? OR was it played by BIll himself?

  • I agree with DJdoDs and toon4life . This is pure , no words , just feelings ;)

  • Unachievable for ever and ever.

  • THIS,

    IS the BEST Ambient music,

    EVER.

  • Awesome!

  • The news report at the end of this song is taken from a report on a car accident that occurred in long island in the late 80s. The name "jack" that can be heard in the song has no other connection throughout the album. But, anyway, this is the greatest album I have ever heard.

  • These guys were something else. Everything they did seemed to have a farcical edge (e.g. the trashy pop songs for which they are better known) Like their dark practical jokes, I think they viewed it as their own form of art. We'll probably never know because they're recluses, and I'm probably completely wrong, but I'm pretty sure this was one of the few serious pieces of music they wrote. To appreciate just what an incredible piece of work it is go and listen to the whole album, ChillOut.

  • Does any1 agree with me on this 1? There will never be anything like this again just pure genious!!!!!!

  • The way they did this album was brilliant and the music that came out of that process reflects their genius. I can listen to this album from start to finish without skipping a single song. It's a masterpiece. There has never been a sound like theirs when you listen to ambient music. Some artists use the slide guitar in ambient music like Polmo Polpo (Like Hearts Swelling album) and Tom Heasley but no one can every duplicate what these guys did. I don't think anyone wants to steal their sound.

  • I would recommend the Polmo Polpo album if you really do love this sound though. It's very lush and has a sound that is unmistakeably original. I almost cried the first time I heard the first cut from this album, Romeo Heart. You have to listen to this album in its entirety to appreciate the full sense of what he is trying to convey.

  • best misic of all times .....how can i get a copy

  • eBay or Discogs!

    ...But check out the price...!

  • This song was written from the perspective of the other car jack was drag racing with.

That's why you keep hearing the haunting sound of his car going by.

It has all the sound clips from evangelists because you're seeking redemption for killing jack.

(If you don't know what I mean listen to the news report at the very end.)

  • This is one of the most relaxing CD's ever.. Very calm... Kinda actually like a train ride..

  • this is so unique and serene, wonderful

pity they went mad and did all that weird stuff though

  • i jus cant get enuf of this

  • im gonna buy this album. just got into ambience. love hearts of space radio too

  • it doesnt come any more chilled out than this, remember trippin out to this and thinking this is why we do it so many different emotions.

  • classic

you cant get better chill out

  • I first heard this album in 2005, 15 years after it's original release. It's become my favourite album of all time.

  • it was like this for me, in 2003 with the ambient album ISDN by The Future Sound Of London, which is from the same period of (and very similar to) this one. I suggest it to you. and I will listen to this entirely, for I've heard just a song or two so far.
