  • Ukulele AND Doctor Who? Uh-mazing!

One of my favourite episodes would have to be when the tenth Doctor and Rose go to New New York. That ep has so many great one-liners, and the actors are so funny and convincing when they have to play Cassandra.

  • I've been practicing this for a couple days. I'M GETTING BETTER. :D No where near as good as you, but, soon. Soooon.

  • this is absolutely fantastic

  • I NEED THESE TABS!

  • @cheeseisthebestevr ummm look at description it has a link

  • The chord after the bit in the higher register is really confusing me, at about 0:44, can anyone help me out?

  • @MiniMoose22031, check the link in the description to UkuleleUnderground

  • @WS64 That's what i'm using for the most part, and it doesn't sound right. Also you play the part at the upper register different than it is tabbed, unless i'm really wrong. Thank's for the quick reply though!

  • teach me

  • This is a fantastic cover! 'Blink' is also my favorite episode. Thanks!

  • Brillian instrumental as usual! 'Blink' had the retro feel of one of the earlier episodes that scared me as a kid (aka Tom Baker)...Of the modern ones my fav was one where they were on a desert planet on a bus...Also had the retro feel

    Chris

  • Best video ever- bow ties are cool ;)

  • what are the chords?!

  • Amazing.

  • OH MY JESUS I NEED THESE CHORDS

  • This is, by far, the best Doctor Who cover I've ever heard. Thank you for putting this on youtube so I could have the chance to watch it.

  • @etparadox, I really don't know what part... I mainly play 0231 and 2210 and move them up 4 frets

  • @WS64 Thanks

  • how?!?!?!

  • Incredible, I would love to learn this. And blink is my second (third) favorite episode after The Impossible Planet/ Satins Pit... an AMAZING episode with Rose and David Tennant, the best partnership in any Doctor Who season!

  • This is AMAZING. I'm determined to learn it now. Thanks for letting the camera show your hands instead of your face, because I'm sure I could figure it out after lots of play-pause-rewind-repeating.

By the way, Blink is one of my favorites. I also love The Girl in The Fireplace. Honestly, how do you pick just one? Doctor Who rocks.

  • What are the chords for this?! D: also, you are REALLY GREAT!! :D

  • Epic!

  • Truly brilliant!!

  • is there any way you could do a tutorial of this? I would love to be able to play it

  • A tutorial of this would be amazing. I know many people already have asked for one but it'd be very helpful. A tab might be good too.

  • Oh my, you're fantastic!! Can we please have a tutorial of this??

  • That 1 person was a dialect

  • What did you think of the 2010 christmas special?

  • lanikai sm-ce?

  • @zachbdude, sm-c.

    What's the e for?

  • @WS64 i have no idea. i have the sm-ce, it looks just like that except the wood grain is different, obviously. excellent choice though.

  • @zachbdude, I guess the e means electric (which mine is not)...

  • @WS64 that would make sense, mine is. spalted mango- concert electric.

  • love you

  • Could you please show the schords you used in 00:29 - 00.31? I've work out the rest of the song just from watchign, I can't work those ones out though!

  • @allierancid I would love to learn this song, do you have the chords written down that I can have?

  • @DanielOrgan nopt really mate, I just sort of watched his fingering and learned from that and anything I got wrong I made up my ear lol. just practise!

  • PLEEaaAASSEEE pu up the chords for this!!!!!

  • where did you learn to play that?

  • Blink is absolutely horrifying . And the best episode made... Or one of them!

Would love it you posted the tabs, but I know you don't so :)

  • @AnjaEvelyn do you think the new weeping angels are terryfying? to me its worse how they destroy you. Season 3 they just sent you back in time. Now, they snap your neck! Gave me nightmares.

  • I just got my first uke and this is definitely on my to-learn list. :) Thank you!

  • this is awesome!!! Can you teach me? a tutorial of this would make my year :)

...and Blink is by far the best episode

  • Awesome! It's now part of my iTunes library. :D

  • My favourite must be Terror of the Zygons (part two).

You have totally cracked it. The first chord is Gm but that's as far as I go. Can't wait to see the tabs. Fingers crossed. :D

  • Sweet job on the tune, and to answer your question, my fav episodes are SIlence in the Library/Forest of the Dead.

  • I can't find the tabs for this anywhere!!

  • good sound!

  • Amazing! love your style mate. Makes the tune seem very sad and melancholy.

  • That is amazing. Doctor Who + ukulele, I think my head might explode. And you made the spalted mango uke actually sound pretty nice.

  • YESZH! blink ftw

  • well done sir, from us at the staff of whoexeter 115 sidwell st exeter devon

  • Blink is my favorite too! :D plus it was the first one I ever saw, I was hooked from scene 1. and I would totally love to learn to play this :)

  • YES!!!! Doctor Who! Awesome!

  • U could maek a lot of money writing and selling tabs for your songs... i know i'd buy it :)

    great work!

  • What an incredible selection of uke songs you've posted! I would love to see where you get your tabs, or if you just figure them out yourself, have you ever considered posting your work?

  • These are my own arrangements. And I do post my work, you just commented to it! But I have no idea how to write tabs, I prefer spending my time playing ukulele...

  • sorry- meant post your tabs, not your work.

My favorite episode is "silence in the library". Great story.

  • excuse me, what make uke is that?

  • It's a Lanikai, the wood is spalted mango. A looker, not a singer.

  • Watched blink on my EEE in my bed, all dark around me. Scary.

  • Finally a tune I can relate to!

My favourite Dr Who episode is absolutely "Dalek" (s01e06) given that were talking about 2005 series.

  • Thats wicked!!

  • how clever and unique :)

  • Awesome again i would have to say my fav ep is....actually i cannot decide they are all brill.

could you send me a link for the tab

    henry

  • Wow, that was oddly beautiful. I would love to use that in one of my videos!

  • Brilliant,again

  • Amazing stuff!

  • wow who would have thought that tune could be played on the ukulele.

    excellent :-)

  • Too cool!

  • Interesting fact: Jon Pertwee taught Roger Moore to play the ukelele to cure his nerves whilst filming Ivanhoe.

  • ...don't even blink!

It's my favourite episode too. Great playing.

  • EXCELLENT!!! I like "Blink" a lot too!

  • Awesome job!

Blink's my favorite of the new ones. Genesis of the Daleks is my favorite of the older ones.

  • Same here. Haven't seen enough episode to have a favourite one. Been watching too many reruns of star trek. Loved your playing though.

  • Cool!

  • Awesome! That was incredible!

  • Great arrangement. Being a fan of the older series, I'd have to choose "The Five Doctors," "The Happiness Patrol," or that one about a midget pig-demon whose name I forget.

  • "The Talons of Weng-Chiang"?

  • That's it! Good call.

  • Excellent!

  • I have not seen enough episodes to have one. Here, we watch Stargate, and Flashforward.
