Valkenhayn drive is going to be similar to a way a werewolf will fight. If you look at the crest carefully, you will see a werewolf shape. Valkenhayn will be an awesome dlc character in BlazBlue: Continuum Shift

@theletterqyo It makes even more sense when you consider that vampires must sleep during the day and are thus vulnerable to random angry mobs of filthy peasants wielding torches and pitchforks. Werewolves are ideal candidates to deal with such vermin.

I know I'm going to get thumbs down for this, but I'm probably one of the few if not the only one that thinks Valk will just be another vampire and not a werewolf. I don't see why the butler of a clan of vampires would all of the sudden be a werewolf himself. That just seems kinda random to me.

Though if anyone else noticed the "werewolf" patteren in his symbol, it's hard to argue the ridiculous amount of signs pointing towards him being a werewolf.

Well actually Lycanthropes are often rumored in old tales to be servants to vampires and if you want many few recent pop cultures that play on this such as Underworld and maybe Castlevania. Also his Lycanthropy drive is a serious hint to this. A werewolf equivalent of Slayer would be all kinds of awesome.

To me Carl is more like Bridget... Though yeah, they both fit the role of having an alternate object teasing from the opponent's other side.

Also, I'd think LycanNinja meant that like Eddie, in a victory pose of some kind he would take the form of a werewolf, or his combat would be him transforming some parts of him into the werewolf form. There's really nothing/no-one that Valkenhayn could use as a familiar either.

I too, expect him to be Slayer-like though.

Was I happy to discover that ol' Val would become a playable character! Look at this, even his emblem is incredibly badass! The center is obviously a representation of the moon, and I may be looking to much into it, but the shape inside the circle looks like a wolf. There's also a single rose and chains on the base of the cross, probably a representation of his undying loyalty to Rachel. Forget Hazama, the first thing I'll do when this game comes out is download and learn how to play as him!
