Yeah, Im sorry but I know that is completely incorrect. A fuse that controls the Attessa AWD system...no. On top of that the mechanical portion of the system would still be engaging. I could see if pulling a fuse would mess with the torque split because of the computations involved. Then on top of all of that, why would this company spend all of that money on an AWD chassis only to lose all of its benefits by disabling it. Sorry but no.
actuallyhe is right i own an r32 gtr and i have an in cabin toggle switch to go from all wheel drive to rear wheel drive. Gtr's are rear wheel drive until the rears start spinning then the fronts engage accordingly. all the switch does is more or less disables the g-meter under the centre console so it cant tell that the rears are spinning. hope that makes sense
LOL i know this was a year ago but had to comment.
You might wanna do some research before writing a huge post filled with crap again.
The R32 most def did come with a fuse which when pulled left the car in RWD. As you said its not a great idea and Nissan seemed to realise that as they left the fuse out of the later cars.
On the mechanics of it in the GTR's transfer there is what basically amounts to a clutch so without the fuse the clutch never engages and the car stays RWD.
Here you go guys, a vid i took at willowbank last weekend where this car did a 7.87 against a mazda rotary. Bloody awesome job on the car and it was by far the best one there all day!!!

Is that a gtr converted to real wheel or a gts? Most drag skylines are gts and rightly so its easier to transfer weight on a rear wheel and lighter.

this is a GTR with a switch the shuts off the front diffential, the other way is to pull the fuse out so it jus stays rwd
and most drag skylines are GTRs with the same kind of thing
