Pretty nice picking gal... you're doing what most SHOULD DO, which is slow down on songs you're learning, focusing on playing it correctly, and letting the speed come with practice.. I hear a lot of pickers on Youtube that race through songs, only half way playing it correctly, vs the way you're doing it which is accurate and measured.. good technique!
Good God, wonderful tone. The thing looks like it might have had a top refinish or overspray at some point as well as the other stuff, but if not, did the dude ever take it out of the case and play it?
Funny how the top has gobs of runout and Martin paid absolutely no attention to that, but there are picky builders today who would freak over that.
That box must've set some kind of selling price record for that vintage and model with the attendant adjustments/repairs. Or it should have.
Bernunzi.... What is that first pc called? I'm new to this style of music and would like to search out other versions please. Great playing btw. Thanks
Sounds pretty average but that's an online derivation of sound and a lacklustre player. What's really amazing is the shine on the headstock. That can't be original!
@12Radius The 000-28 you're playing on your channel sounds a lot sweeter than this Martin. Recording quality and ability win through. You play really well 12Rad. Hope you scrape up the necesary bucks and give us a demo of what this 1937 beauty is really capable of. Never seen a cutaway National before either. Beam one back to Robert Johnson and he'll never have to make that pact at the Crossroads!
I enjoy your playing on all these videos but have to ask you this 1) why don't you EVER smile. How long have you been playing? Is this your Dad's store?
Great guitar in very good condition for something's that 74 years old. It would be nice if they posted a price. I went to their above web page but they didn't post a price there either. I guess if you have to ask, you can't afford it.
@Cypherdude1 i can understand why a price usually isnt posted with something of this value, and i think too that anyone who has the kind of money to buy such a great guitar wouldnt care about the price :D Thats why im glad for youtube because it gives a glimpse into a big world of guitars the adverage shmuck like me can only dream of. haha.
Oh dang! What a sweet guitar.. If it's authentic. Worth a boat-load of cash!

Amazing piece of history. Thanks for the chance to see and hear a Pre-War gem.
Although.. It doesn't sound $150,000.00 better than a modern one. But that's just me.
What do I know, anyway?
