  • very nice..thanks..

I want to sing tommorrow night at a show..husband will be playing piano.

Always loved this song..you really sound great!!!!

  • You have a nice voice. I really think in order to describe this music as jazz there needs to be more improvising(syncopated phrasing, nuance) and a bit more swing to it even tho it's a ballad. The comment really extends to the piano playing as well. There are hints of swing/blues elements to the piano playing but overall the presentation seems more classical in nature.

  • I appreciate your comment, but I think you may need to broaden your definition of jazz. Jazz singing & indeed playing comes in many varieties (look at Billie Holiday and Ella Fitzgerald). We both improvise here, it may not be to your taste, but it is jazz. Perhaps you need to listen to a wider spectrum of jazz vocals. If this were classical I would be singing in a classical voice quality not speech quality. It's also part of a live, pro set in which variety was needed, ie not swing all the way.

  • Beautiful. may I dedicate this to my comedian friend Jim Norton in NYC.
