Thank You. I am watching this because i am a debater, ld, and the topic is : Resolved: It is morally permissible for victims to use deadly force as a deliberate response to repeated domestic violence. This really helped.
I understand why people see violence on females as worse. Men are stronger and faster. But women will use weapons and knives, and most men won't hit them back. If they do hit back, the woman just calls the police. Did you see how easily the guy in the video got sent to jail?
No such thing as reverse discrimination or reverse domestic violence.
Women commit most domestic violence against their partners and children, and commit most child murders too. You'd never know that from the media. SEARCH: Martin Fiebert Violence BY women. You will see hundreds of studies showing women are NOT the primary victims. About 1 in 7 victims of family violence is the woman, due to her committing most of the violence against children and husbands, including parental alienation
Abuse is abuse. saying its reverse to me is just being a bitch.
Were all people and just because ONE said may have a HISTORY to it does not mean its should be any less to the other side. Disgusting that's its called Reverse
This is NOT reverse domestic violence. The fact that you would title the video "reverse domestic violence" indicates cultural misandry pretty clearly. DISGUSTING.
I concur... although it was likely named as such so it gets the proper hits and links. People looking for this situation specifically probably found it better because of the title. It's sad times when you have to use tiny fibs to get correct coverage.
Karen Parker Thompson is incompetent. She claimed that "85% to90% of domestic violence is against woman". Bullshit! She is going off of conviction stats or rectally generated info. All reputable studies show that woman actually abuse more often, and are more likely to kill their spouse than men. Woman us weapons, including the courts, and threats of to abuse. In most cases of domestic violence both parties are violent. In the 2nd most common, only woman are violent. The least common is man only.
Domestic violence is unacceptable period! Gender, race religion, sexual orientation or whatever else doesn't matter. Violence is wrong. We need to protect our sons and daughters, everyone matters. Everyone counts. This has never been a woman issue. It has always been an everyone issue. No one should get a pass on violence anymore, including woman. If you don't think something I said was correct, look it up for yourself. Don't just take my word. Taking man hater's words what got us in this mess!
@PipeManChuck I almost completely agree! The only thing I want to add, in the defense of women (which if you look at my posts, you'll see I'm on your side), the majority of solely women on men attacks, don't have as much lasting physical damage done to the man. This of course excludes case of murder. His pains are more often stabs(easily stitched) and mental abuse. Thinking no one will believe you, or even care if they do believe you. I've seen women hit themselves to get the man arrested.
@Talusmade ok, enough with the "I've seen, I've seen" ...just bc it has happened in history doesn't mean it's the norm and doesn't mean we should use that as an indicator of anything but what you, a former drug addict who lived a rough life for a while, have personally witnessed. The world would be a disaster if societal perception and LAWS were cultivated based on what occassionally has happened or what is remotely possible...
:( And you continue to sling mud. Tsk... I expected more from you. And the laws ARE based on what occasionally happens
I guess, you.. stateing you've never seen a case (atleast of male victims, possible women) MUST have the correct, UNBIASED view... while I, having much more experience on BOTH sides, couldn't POSSIBLY know what I'm talking about. I bet even if I told you I'm actually a lawyer specializing in abuse cases, you still wouldn't listen. I'm done, GOOD DAY MA'AM! :)
@Talusmade I'm not slinging mud, I'm just sick of hearing about what YOU'VE seen. if I wanted to, I might just DOUBT that what you say is even correct and factual, as you yourself claimed to have been on drugs during that time period.Perhaps you're mistaken? Addicts aren't exactly known for their honesty, reliability or presense of mind in recalling details. But my original stance was that I believe you..or even IF what you're saying is true, just bc something's possible doesn't make it frequent
@Talusmade I've heard that before. Doesn't change my opinion taht men and women are not designed to compete against each other physically. That's why sports teams are separated. Anything dealing with physical exertion should be divided between the genders.
@PipeManChuck The GRAND majority of men are better able to defend themselves. That's why it's a bigger deal for women to be abused.First of all, testosterone makes one more aggressive(this is a fact, look it up) So it IS(whether it fits your agenda or not...)more likely for men to become violent. And When they do, the affects are more devastating. That's why women are perceived as the victim. When they are attacked they have less chance of protecting themselves than when a man is attacked by a woman
Women should be held as accountable as men for their actions. They should be charged as severely as men for the same crimes. Much of the female-against-male domestic abuse is unilateral or nonretaliatory. Besides, the domestic violence law is outdated and that needs to change. VAWA is a Trojan horse, for it promotes the culture of expanding divorce, illegitimacy, and misandry. It leads to a welfare state, entitling women's employment, and claiming immigrant status for illegal immigrants.
every law inforcment agency is a pussy whippped fu ck every one of them if the man would ahve protected himself would have been man in jail woman doing anything she wants dumb ass law fu cking cracka honkey bi tch
This is why men need to DOCUMENT, with video, audio, photos, etc., etc NOTICE how that woman says, "We are worried about male victims of domestic violence, BUT.." BUT NOTHING! Do some real research on domestic violence and you'll find it is NOT a "gender-based" problem.
Google Erin Pizzey, the woman who started women's shelters. She'll be the first one to say that the domestic violence "industry' (as she calls it), it used to perpetuate violence against men. Get some FACTS!
One of the greatest paradoxes in the history of gender relations, is the myth of the "insensitive man". You know, that men are just clunking emotional buffoons without a care for the implications for their female associates. The great irony, is that the sensitivity that men have for women's feelings (chivalry) is their greatest weapon. It's the device that enabled shame to banish the grievances of disgruntled men into stark isolation. But chin up, we know the score.
This video sends a weird message, that though there is Female on Male violence, that it's still somehow the "Man's Fault" Like saying "when women do it, it's 'reactionary' ( as a response to something HE did), and men do it because of their intrinsic abusiveness". And that whole " 85 to 95 % female victims" statistic is one of the biggest lies I've ever heard! Pure rubbish ! If it were the other way around, they wouldn't feature a male abuser saying how he" deserves to be respected ".
That's not *Reverse* Domestic Violence. That's just plain domestic violence. Just because the demographics of the victim and the perpetrator are unusual doesn't make it "reverse." A woman raping or murdering a man isnt reverse rape or reverse murder just because it happens less often in that direction.
There no solid evidence that male-on-female violence even IS more prominent. In fact, the more sophisticated and enlightened the studies into domestic violence become, the less angelic women are looking by contrast. It's a fraud perpetrated by a socialist business enterprize. Enterprizes need a division to rally support.
The only ones perpetuating the trad archetype, are the ensconced feminist blowhards. And they're conveniently the ones sampled for policy.
Number 19 on the list on the right is Domestic Violence: Women are Half the Problem. Watch it. Also, the woman in this video that says "We know - 85 95% - So that's what we focus on" is a scumbag. A nice, polite, feather dagger wielding scumbag, and she doesn't have a clue why she's an evil bitch. Let's say hypothetically "Christian Women" were 5% of the total. Do you think she'd be all "focused" then? No, it's about "worthy" victims. THAT 5% would be relevent as a "minority".
@Hzqi I, personally, make no assumptions as to the exact ratio between the sexes of victims and perpetrators of domestic violence. I am merely objecting to the phrase "Reverse Domestic Violence," and I believe it is used based on the assumption that women are less common perpetrators and men less common victims of domestic violence. My point is to point out that even if this assumption is/were true it does not make "Reverse Domestic Violence" an appropriate label.
@Hzqi However, I agree that the commonly-believed ratio is skewed. For one thing, men are less likely to report domestic violence directed towards them by a woman. But while its true that some feminists do what you say they do, other feminists would agree with you and even consider it a feminist issue. Part of the reason women are cast as "angels" and victims and men as violent is sexist gender stereotypes on both sides, including the idea that women are weak and harmless and can't hurt men.
Not only are men "less likely". It's night and day. Or should I say FUCKING night, and FUCKING day. It's a common inclination for women to view the law itself, as a weapon, and threaten to wield it. Ergo, women reported abuse where there is none. On the flipside, I think we all know the reality as pertains to the men we know in our daily lives. A scarce fucking few would make a report unless chased with a knife and a hot frying pan. IF then. I've seen BOTH scenarios, aplenty.
@Talusmade The two halves must be absolutely equal in order for u to apply the same rules.I could come up with several analogies, but I know you're smart enough to know I'm right if u could give ur pride a rest for a second.Literal equality is not possible between the genders, physically. In order to make it FAIR (to women) there is a bit more protection to compensate for physical weakness. There are plenty of double standards which have men benefiting. We have to believe it all evens out IN THE END
@MeredithOD Men and women ARE equal.. and different. I have 2lb. half a watermelon,You have a different 2lb. half of watermelon. BOTH are halves, but not EXACTLY the same. they are equal. Yes, men in general are better fighters, but women, in general are better at multitasking. Men are generally better at math and science... women are generally better at reading and english(language). EQUAL
The main thing is, it's NOT OK for women to hit men either...that's IT! I guess YOU think they can.
@Talusmade You agree that when it comes to physical strength and fighting, women are incompetant. I agree. So it's WORSE (do you understand that word?) for a man to hit a woman..but no I don't think anybody should be hurt. But it is WORSE--and causes more alarm among witnesses, for a man to be threatening and aggresive towards a woman. GET over it, seriously. You refuse to even acknowledge my key words and instead just continue on w/ your bias, blind crusade to prove a ridiculous point.
@MeredithOD LOL.. now you're putting words in my mouth. Incompetent??? absolutely not! I have actually witnessed more cases of women beating men... but yes, I know that's less common. And not blind at all. Yes, when men attack women in public, it is more alarming among witnesses. because everyone KNOWS it's not ok. But alot of people think its OK for women to attack men.. that it's normal. This is NOT the case. I've read what you said very thoroughly, an agree with alot.
@Talusmade I guess, foundamentally, where we disagree is that you are convinced that most ppl think it's OK for a woman to hit a man and that it's "normal." I disagree. I think a girl hitting a guy is a crazy psycho person. I've never done it or seen it. I'd expect him to free himself, restrain her, walk away and never speak to her again. I just trust that ppl help those who need help. And I feel as though your quest to neutralize the genders is unnecessary, unfounded and doing both a disservice
@MeredithOD When a man hits hits his girlfriend, I expect her to walk away and never see her too. It's simple... but not always easy. (kids, stalking, coworker) It's true in both cases.
@Talusmade when a man hits his gf, you expect to see her walk away? that's difficult for her to do in about 90% of the cases, as his strength may very well far exceed hers. I meant quite literally WALK away, if an able modied male is being hit by an average size female... he can most likely quite literally get away from her or restrain her. If someone who weighs 60 lbs more than you, probably a good 4 inches or more, with more muscle is attacking you, it's very difficult to get away...
@MeredithOD lol..OMG.. quite taking everything SO literal. :) I didn't necessarily mean walk away, at that exact second! Just LEAVE HIM. not like the attacks are 24/7, unless he keeps her, chained to the furnace or something. And in the reverse situation... if the guy leaves, the woman can just chase him down swinging. I've seen a girl run after a guy with a car when he walked away. And if the guys was to try an "restrain" her, he can go to jail. YES HE CAN. I've seen it, many times.
@Talusmade who the hell are you hanging out with??? lol giant girls who can arm wrestle you and crazy girls who are chasing your friends in cars??? find a new crowd!! :P I'm kinda kidding but all joking aside, it could be as simple and incompelx as improving the quality of ppl you surround yourself with. I've never been hit or witnessed violence....
@MeredithOD :) lol... yeah I've met a wide range of people in my day. Lived in denver and knew a few rather Amazonian women, and a few tough punk chicks). Back home I also was apart of the "underbelly" crowd. Full truth be told, About ten years ago I used to be big in the drug scene.. cooked meth and whatnot. I've been in bad situations. I have seen girls go from primpy little prom queen to a bully in 6 months.. and they didn't gain muscle! lol Been clean 10years. Those days r behind me.
@Talusmade haha ok well that's the thing, you've hung out w/ some very extreme types...so I really don't think that the entire system should be revamped bc of the small minority of exceptions. The laws and social rules of conduct are in place to benefit THE GREATER GOOD. Not to cater to the minority. There are ALWAYS going to be exceptions, nothing is absolute. But that doesn't mean certain rules should not exist.
Respond to this video... And my dad was a drunk. Used the be a slight abuser(hit my mom a few times).. but had some classes (after his divorce) and they did wonders. then he ended up with three different girls who would abuse him, fairly badly, and he never once raised his hand. I've seen him get beat up by "small" women and he never even raised his voice at them... and that just usually made them even made. Bruised ones wrist trying to hold her and her got arrested for it. Lamesauce.
@Talusmade a "slight" abuser?? Hit your mom a few times?Wow.Most men(or anyone)who witnessed their mother being hit by a man would consider it the worst thing for the abuser(whether it was their dad or not!) to do..you have major issues. There's no such thing as "slight"abuse when it comes to hitting your wife and mother of your children. All the rest that happened to him I'd consider KARMA!And just bc he CHOSE NOT TO defend himself against his female "attackers" doesnt mean he was incapable of it
I really hope you're not insinuating what I THINK you are. My mom will tell you that she started alot of it. Once, he walked in the door, and she threw a glass ashtray at hit head!! because he went to the bar after work. He got something like 23 stitches. It was a VERY mutual thing. But you wouldn't call HER an abuser would you?
He actually got arrested once because he grabbed the girl and carried her outside and locked the door.. it's ILLEGAL to RESTRAIN a woman in ANY WAY!
@Talusmade First of all, you contradict yourself a LOT. I'm not going to waste any more time arguing with you, you just change your story and even your supposed views based on how you can best respond to my particular statement. That's not authentic and this now ceases to be a discussion worth my time. But I will leave you with this--I will NEVER EVER agree to a man who recalls witnessing his dad hitting his mom as this: "she started it a lot of the time." How distorted your vision is. Goodbye.
Respond to this video... and just so you don't continue to think what I KNOW you're assuming... I was raised by my mother, and my mother has always been the preferred parent. (i'm a bit of a momma's boy). She also agrees with me on this. Usually.. NOT ALWAYS.. but usually it boils down to women who hate men (in some fashion) that can't see that women attacking men should be treated with the same concern and LEGAL consideration as the reverse. they have a bias
@MeredithOD And, just because a woman CHOSES not to defend herself (later as well) doesn't men she was incapable of it!
[you make it too easy sometimes Meredith]
(((I know you'r gonna say something.. I'm not saying necessarily in THAT fight, although probably. Knives are everywere...I'm saying it shouldn't happen twice. just like with the guy.. the girl can leave the situation)))
And don't try to vilify me with this statement... we both know that's not the point.. or my stance.
@MeredithOD But I don't agree it WORSE for a man to attack a woman, that a woman attacking a man. this is just not true. And attack is an attack. ALL ATTACKS should stop.
And if you think this is false, then you are perpetuating the cycle. I sincerely hope this is not the case. You seem like an intelligent woman (when you're not slinging mud) an your passion could greatly help the cause. But thinking that women need special privileges only proves to separate and divide us.
@MeredithOD And just what "double standard" do men benifit from? Don't you even say income, because in the majority of america, that myth has been busted several times.
I could name several that WOMEN benefit from. Welfare, Student loans, any job in retail or care giving, almost anything that goes to court...and more
Oh, and I have 4 quarters.. you have 1 dollar... is that equal? it's not the EXACT same! ...lol you're funny.
@Talusmade a dollar and four quarters may be an equal amount, but you'll notice the difference if you come across a vending machine which only accepts bills. I'm not denying that women benefit from some of the double standards, but men also benefit from others. If you really don't see that, you are a hopelessly delusional self-pitying victim who will always feel the martyr. And there's no cure for that. So best of luck to you.
You all who have not experienced any of this might think its funny as shit but I am here to tell yo uthat all a woman has to do is call the cops and tell them that you slapped her. It doesnt matter that you havent been home in 3 days,,nooo Shes pissed and calls the cops. They WILL come to your job and arrest your ass. You WILL do jail time and you WILL be convicted . You are GUILTY until proven innocent...And u just cant prove you wernt there because you didnt know u needed proof of being asleep
Makes you wonder how statistics are validated. Once I had visited some family friends, the wife/mother flew into a rage about her son's kitchen mess. She took her shoes off and THREW them at her son. One hit his face, the other right in his back as he ran. Yelling ensued of course. the police came because of the yelling, and TOLD THE FATHER TO LEAVE FOR THE NIGHT OR BE ARRESTED !!! Wonder how that call was cataloged? As Male Domestic violence ? Probably.
yeah but then they can lie allot more, sad thing about todays society is that males get accused with allot. you hit her once she mighty say you've been doing it for years or some shit, and who's to say they would believe the guy?
Big talk, but you are not in that situation...and, if you did what you are talking about, you would be in the domestic abusers database forever, and go down the river.
This comment has received too many negative votesshow
I think violence against women should increase! Let every bitch see what happens when they abuse men. The world would be a better place if bitches offed themselves!!
Basically in the end they make is sound ok for a woman to be violent because there must have been some kind of good reason for a woman to do so. Complete bullshit!! I never once hit my ex wife but i went to jail twice for DV and have a scarred criminal history as a result. I've had my windows smashed, tires popped, personal stuff thrown from my car. Had the keys pulled from the ignition while driving on the freeway with the children in the backseat, Left in the middle of no where.
The woman in the second piece WAS convicted for assaulting her husband, so it's not as though she escaped any punishment. Trying to understand the reasons behind a person's actions does NOT mean they are condoning it. Regarding your own experiences, I'm sorry that you were mistreated by your ex wife.
Watching the women in this video makes my head hurt. First they acknowledge that women need to be held accountable, and then they turn around and "give them the benefit of the doubt" and claim that it's probably "retaliatory". Really? Retaliatory to what? I've seen it plenty of times myself where women have been pro-active aggressors provoked by nothing but their own neurotic dissatisfaction. They just can't see their way clear to the reality that WOMEN CAN BE ASSHOLES too.
@Hzqi My abusive ex-wife who was likely BPD, NPD and had been diagnosed with Bipolar went to a program at a woman's shelter called BIPP and came home and told me the reason I was being abused was that it was all my fault.
People need to file lawsuits against these sexist and biased programs. It seems to me that if they assist women in physically and psychologically abusing men, they can be held accountable for $.
It's the same skew for men in every walk. I'm one of those people that doesn't carry a veil over my opinions. Everyone that knows me, knows my attitude towards the fog of idealogue propaganda, and is much the wiser to it for my reliable, but diplomatic (by my reckoning) earmarking of it. If you're going to be selective about how you describe and reference something, you can turn anything into anything. Like school. Girls fail = School is broken. Boys fail = Boy is broken.
PS - What the woman says at 1:05 represents everything that is wrong with the industry. "Expect" is an evil word in the wrong context. At least her better sense prevailed, and hopefully put that word on short notice in her vocabulary.
I'll beat the fuck out of a girl if she lays hands on me. I was taught by my mom if a girl steps to you like a man, she's taking on the role of a man. Has always been a very clear cut issue for me. Doesn't mean, by any means, that I advocate hitting women in any other circumstance.
how is this "reverse domestic violence?" shouldn't it just be called domestic violence? This brings up an under-discussed topic, that of misandry or sexism towards men. It's far too common, overlooked, and overshadowed by sexism towards females.
Women with Boarderline Personality disorder are very dangerous...i worked in social work and this occurs more often than people think...about equal to men who assalt women...men just dont report it...and they have other methods of abuse that isnt reported as well...
Or maybe he loves them more than his wife... Maybe she was always jealous and it was the final straw that broke the camel's back and she started to abuse him... That's one sad story right there...
At work, I've seen many abuse cases. Women can be abusers just as men can, so I appreciate this being shown. But why didn't they interview the woman who abused this man? She is a logical choice, particularly for completing the story. The unfortunate side effect seems to promote the angry black woman stereotype. If she was the only one who would share, fine. But the better course then would be a voiceover without the faces and other images so that no charges of racism cloud the message.
@dtman83 So? It's often men with mental retardation or disabilities who are abused by their girlfriends. And I've dealt with many retarded persons. He doesn't sound retarded.
He sounds like a sweet guy from the bit I heard. Sadly though, domestic violence against those with disabilities can be much higher and much worse. I would not be surprised if he did have a slight learning disability, but that's more because the majority of the men whom I have encountered in abusive situations like this tend to have a slight cognitive disability. It does not make his plight any less serious though or the abuse any less horrible. If anything, I think that makes it worse.
oh gee. I hate all kinds of abuse, but I also dislike unfairness. Here, we see a man tell his story about his abuse. Which is rare. But then the producers had to give an abused woman her say...(and they got a black woman to do it.) I dunno. As a black woman, I didn't like the subtext of that. Guys get beaten up. Let the guys have their say. No need to show us why women would beat the guy and then subtly imply that black women suffer from black men. A good attempt but this fails in the end.
the title of this video implies that forward domestic violence is only on women... which is wrong. men may be abused EXACTLY the same way women may be. there is no difference.
This is coming from a woman here, but sometimes I feel like women(not all) feel like they can treat their husbands/boyfriends like crap because they feel they have a right to, or that they won't be punished for it. For example, I agree that the woman in this video was not treated right. No one should have to deal with a cheater, but If she was so sick of the guy, she could have just left him! She didn't have to beat the crap out of him. Now that poor man is just as mentally scarred as any woman.
Hahaha this isn't reverse domestic violence. Domestic violence is domestic violence. It doesn't matter which sex is getting beat up. Thats like claiming reverse racism.
I beat my wife because she kept backing me into a corner, it's not my fault, I deserve someone that loves me because I deserve to be happy.....doesn't that sound like an unbelievable amount of bullshit when a man says it? Be honest.
I'm so annoyed...women get by so easily. I know many women who abuse their husbands in this day and age, and no one does anything about it...I'm not talking physically, I'm talking emotionally.
Hen pecked husbands have bigger troubles than their abusive spouses. I had a brother who was hen pecked and a sex drive unchecked. She kept on luring and he just kept on returning for his Dog Biscuit. People, get away from your abusive spouse and focus on what is important. Kids, your mind.
4:15 - Okay so automatically if a woman hits a man it's "retaliatory"... there is no end to woman's self-victimization.. although I don't disagree that in most cases the "man" did have it coming
Poor guy. Why add the word "reverse" in the title? All and all, in the end, it's the same. Someone is getting hurt, no matter what the gender of the victim or the abuser. This is so sad.
Woman claim to want to be treated "EQUAL" So if a woman ever hit me, she better be expecting to be treated EQUAL. Cause i know if a man ever hit me, i'd lay his ass out. So watch out woman. Want to be treated equal? Hit a man, get hit like a man.
I agree with 1/2 that. I want equality. like #2 men buy us women drinks cause you want pun tang, we don't make men do it.
#4 yea just like she can wear it you can, she is doing her 1/2 of the job by raising it, that's just ignorance there.
#6 man come one use your brain. No one wants to be harassed, learn to keep you mouth shut at work. save that shit for the bar where it is appropriate. If you can't be an adult around other adults maybe you need to get a new job.
"men buy us women drinks cause you want pun tang, we don't make men do it."
Let's say we're at a bar, and I come up and talk to you. If I DON'T offer to buy you a drink you won't give me the time of day, right? Be honest now, you're gonna automatically assume I'm cheap/poor/a jerk. Seems like my hand is forced there.
depends on what you look like women can be equaly shallow. The drinks arn't to show you have money but to make us go against our better judgement and screw you. If you want a relationship well a bars the wrong place to look for it. Whats this have to do with equality anyways. My demands for equality.
to make it to the top of a company with out being accussed of f'n my way there. and not to be called a whore for liking sex. Bit less childish then y'alls demands
Why is it assumed that power structures in the workplace should be under the control of people who want to put others down, instead of people who want to create a welcoming environment? It's not okay to assume that you have the power to tell someone else to leave, because you "own" the space.
That's not reverse domestic violence. That's domestic violence. Men and women can be victims and perpetrators. The term domestic iolence doesn't imply either.
It's just like racism doesn't imply any particular race against another. A non-white being racist against white people isn't reverse racism, it's still racism.
The only reason people think it must go one way is because that's how the situation is commonly portrayed. People need to be aware that the situation can go more than one way.
Thank You. I am watching this because i am a debater, ld, and the topic is : Resolved: It is morally permissible for victims to use deadly force as a deliberate response to repeated domestic violence. This really helped.

totally agree. Calling it reverse is drawing attention to the victim/attacker... not the problem.
same is true for race. Anyone who dislikes another due to skin tone is racist. black, white, yellow, brown, red, hell BLUE even... it's still racism.

Talusmade 6 months ago
@Talusmade ok, enough with the "I've seen, I've seen" ...just bc it has happened in history doesn't mean it's the norm and doesn't mean we should use that as an indicator of anything but what you, a former drug addict who lived a rough life for a while, have personally witnessed. The world would be a disaster if societal perception and LAWS were cultivated based on what occassionally has happened or what is remotely possible...
MeredithOD 5 months ago
@MeredithOD
Talusmade 5 months ago
@Talusmade I'm not slinging mud, I'm just sick of hearing about what YOU'VE seen. if I wanted to, I might just DOUBT that what you say is even correct and factual, as you yourself claimed to have been on drugs during that time period.Perhaps you're mistaken? Addicts aren't exactly known for their honesty, reliability or presense of mind in recalling details. But my original stance was that I believe you..or even IF what you're saying is true, just bc something's possible doesn't make it frequent

@MeredithOD I heard something today, maybe you'll get it, maybe not.
.
When God made Woman, he took the bone from Man
This was not a bone from his head, to outshine him,
Nor was it a bone from his foot, for Man to trample on
But he took the rib, for Woman to walk beside him... as Equals
.
I wish you the best Meredith
Talusmade 5 months ago
@Talusmade I've heard that before. Doesn't change my opinion taht men and women are not designed to compete against each other physically. That's why sports teams are separated. Anything dealing with physical exertion should be divided between the genders.
MeredithOD 5 months ago
@PipeManChuck The GRAND majority of men are better able to defend themselves. That's why it's a bigger deal for women to be abused.First of all, testosterone makes one more aggressive(this is a fact, look it up) So it IS(whether it fits your agenda or not...)more likely for men to become violent. And When they do, the affects are more devastating. That's why women are perceived as the victim. When they are attacked they have less chance of protecting themselves than when a man is attacked by a woman
MeredithOD 5 months ago
why when women abuse they want to say it is reactionary. That's BS. Then we should say when men abuse it's her fault too.

@fabcuts I hear ya! although, sometimes it being reactionary is true.. with man AND women.

Get some FACTS!
maleabusedincorpus 1 year ago
@maleabusedincorpus
Hzqi 1 year ago

Hzqi 1 year ago 2
@Diddle07
Hzqi 1 year ago
@Hzqi I, personally, make no assumptions as to the exact ratio between the sexes of victims and perpetrators of domestic violence. I am merely objecting to the phrase "Reverse Domestic Violence," and I believe it is used based on the assumption that women are less common perpetrators and men less common victims of domestic violence. My point is to point out that even if this assumption is/were true it does not make "Reverse Domestic Violence" an appropriate label.
Diddle07 1 year ago 2
@Hzqi However, I agree that the commonly-believed ratio is skewed. For one thing, men are less likely to report domestic violence directed towards them by a woman. But while its true that some feminists do what you say they do, other feminists would agree with you and even consider it a feminist issue. Part of the reason women are cast as "angels" and victims and men as violent is sexist gender stereotypes on both sides, including the idea that women are weak and harmless and can't hurt men.
Diddle07 1 year ago 2
@Diddle07
Hzqi 1 year ago 2
@Diddle07 actually in the case of abuse it happens far more often, and it's worse because it's far less reported and convicted

Equality is EQUAL. No bias
Talusmade 6 months ago
@Talusmade The two halves must be absolutely equal in order for u to apply the same rules.I could come up with several analogies, but I know you're smart enough to know I'm right if u could give ur pride a rest for a second.Literal equality is not possible between the genders, physically. In order to make it FAIR (to women) there is a bit more protection to compensate for physical weakness. There are plenty of double standards which have men benefiting. We have to believe it all evens out IN THE END
MeredithOD 6 months ago
@MeredithOD Men and women ARE equal.. and different. I have 2lb. half a watermelon,You have a different 2lb. half of watermelon. BOTH are halves, but not EXACTLY the same. they are equal. Yes, men in general are better fighters, but women, in general are better at multitasking. Men are generally better at math and science... women are generally better at reading and english(language). EQUAL
The main thing is, it's NOT OK for women to hit men either...that's IT! I guess YOU think they can.
Talusmade 6 months ago
@Talusmade You agree that when it comes to physical strength and fighting, women are incompetant. I agree. So it's WORSE (do you understand that word?) for a man to hit a woman..but no I don't think anybody should be hurt. But it is WORSE--and causes more alarm among witnesses, for a man to be threatening and aggresive towards a woman. GET over it, seriously. You refuse to even acknowledge my key words and instead just continue on w/ your bias, blind crusade to prove a ridiculous point.
MeredithOD 6 months ago
@MeredithOD LOL.. now you're putting words in my mouth. Incompetent??? absolutely not! I have actually witnessed more cases of women beating men... but yes, I know that's less common. And not blind at all. Yes, when men attack women in public, it is more alarming among witnesses. because everyone KNOWS it's not ok. But alot of people think its OK for women to attack men.. that it's normal. This is NOT the case. I've read what you said very thoroughly, an agree with alot.
Talusmade 6 months ago
@Talusmade I guess, foundamentally, where we disagree is that you are convinced that most ppl think it's OK for a woman to hit a man and that it's "normal." I disagree. I think a girl hitting a guy is a crazy psycho person. I've never done it or seen it. I'd expect him to free himself, restrain her, walk away and never speak to her again. I just trust that ppl help those who need help. And I feel as though your quest to neutralize the genders is unnecessary, unfounded and doing both a disservice
MeredithOD 6 months ago
@MeredithOD When a man hits hits his girlfriend, I expect her to walk away and never see her too. It's simple... but not always easy. (kids, stalking, coworker) It's true in both cases.
Talusmade 6 months ago
@Talusmade when a man hits his gf, you expect to see her walk away? that's difficult for her to do in about 90% of the cases, as his strength may very well far exceed hers. I meant quite literally WALK away, if an able modied male is being hit by an average size female... he can most likely quite literally get away from her or restrain her. If someone who weighs 60 lbs more than you, probably a good 4 inches or more, with more muscle is attacking you, it's very difficult to get away...
MeredithOD 6 months ago
@MeredithOD lol..OMG.. quite taking everything SO literal. :) I didn't necessarily mean walk away, at that exact second! Just LEAVE HIM. not like the attacks are 24/7, unless he keeps her, chained to the furnace or something. And in the reverse situation... if the guy leaves, the woman can just chase him down swinging. I've seen a girl run after a guy with a car when he walked away. And if the guys was to try an "restrain" her, he can go to jail. YES HE CAN. I've seen it, many times.
Talusmade 6 months ago
@Talusmade who the hell are you hanging out with??? lol giant girls who can arm wrestle you and crazy girls who are chasing your friends in cars??? find a new crowd!! :P I'm kinda kidding but all joking aside, it could be as simple and incompelx as improving the quality of ppl you surround yourself with. I've never been hit or witnessed violence....
MeredithOD 6 months ago
@MeredithOD :) lol... yeah I've met a wide range of people in my day. Lived in denver and knew a few rather Amazonian women, and a few tough punk chicks). Back home I also was apart of the "underbelly" crowd. Full truth be told, About ten years ago I used to be big in the drug scene.. cooked meth and whatnot. I've been in bad situations. I have seen girls go from primpy little prom queen to a bully in 6 months.. and they didn't gain muscle! lol Been clean 10years. Those days r behind me.
Talusmade 6 months ago

Lamesauce.
Talusmade 6 months ago
@Talusmade a "slight" abuser?? Hit your mom a few times?Wow.Most men(or anyone)who witnessed their mother being hit by a man would consider it the worst thing for the abuser(whether it was their dad or not!) to do..you have major issues. There's no such thing as "slight"abuse when it comes to hitting your wife and mother of your children. All the rest that happened to him I'd consider KARMA!And just bc he CHOSE NOT TO defend himself against his female "attackers" doesnt mean he was incapable of it
MeredithOD 5 months ago
@MeredithOD
Talusmade 5 months ago
@Talusmade First of all, you contradict yourself a LOT. I'm not going to waste any more time arguing with you, you just change your story and even your supposed views based on how you can best respond to my particular statement. That's not authentic and this now ceases to be a discussion worth my time. But I will leave you with this--I will NEVER EVER agree to a man who recalls witnessing his dad hitting his mom as this: "she started it a lot of the time." How distorted your vision is. Goodbye.
MeredithOD 5 months ago
Respond to this video... and just so you don't continue to think what I KNOW you're assuming... I was raised by my mother, and my mother has always been the preferred parent. (i'm a bit of a momma's boy). She also agrees with me on this. Usually.. NOT ALWAYS.. but usually it boils down to women who hate men (in some fashion) that can't see that women attacking men should be treated with the same concern and LEGAL consideration as the reverse. they have a bias
Talusmade 5 months ago
@MeredithOD And, just because a woman CHOSES not to defend herself (later as well) doesn't men she was incapable of it!
[you make it too easy sometimes Meredith]
(((I know you'r gonna say something.. I'm not saying necessarily in THAT fight, although probably. Knives are everywere...I'm saying it shouldn't happen twice. just like with the guy.. the girl can leave the situation)))
And don't try to vilify me with this statement... we both know that's not the point.. or my stance.
Talusmade 5 months ago
@MeredithOD But I don't agree it WORSE for a man to attack a woman, that a woman attacking a man. this is just not true. And attack is an attack. ALL ATTACKS should stop.
And if you think this is false, then you are perpetuating the cycle. I sincerely hope this is not the case. You seem like an intelligent woman (when you're not slinging mud) an your passion could greatly help the cause. But thinking that women need special privileges only proves to separate and divide us.
Talusmade 6 months ago
@MeredithOD And just what "double standard" do men benifit from? Don't you even say income, because in the majority of america, that myth has been busted several times.
I could name several that WOMEN benefit from. Welfare, Student loans, any job in retail or care giving, almost anything that goes to court...and more
Oh, and I have 4 quarters.. you have 1 dollar... is that equal? it's not the EXACT same! ...lol you're funny.
Talusmade 6 months ago
@Talusmade a dollar and four quarters may be an equal amount, but you'll notice the difference if you come across a vending machine which only accepts bills. I'm not denying that women benefit from some of the double standards, but men also benefit from others. If you really don't see that, you are a hopelessly delusional self-pitying victim who will always feel the martyr. And there's no cure for that. So best of luck to you.

But the better course then would be a voiceover without the faces and other images so that no charges of racism cloud the message.

scifiwritir 1 year ago 3
He sounds like a sweet guy from the bit I heard. Sadly though, domestic violence against those with disabilities can be much higher and much worse. I would not be surprised if he did have a slight learning disability, but that's more because the majority of the men whom I have encountered in abusive situations like this tend to have a slight cognitive disability. It does not make his plight any less serious though or the abuse any less horrible. If anything, I think that makes it worse.
JessicaB1728 1 year ago 3

Hen pecked husbands have bigger troubles than their abusive spouses. I had a brother who was hen pecked and a sex drive unchecked. She kept on luring and he just kept on returning for his Dog Biscuit. People, get away from your abusive spouse and focus on what is important. Kids, your mind.

why does he have three cars, and why the immediate position that all domestic violence is perpetrated by men? female abuse is well documented

Nope. Women want equality? Fine by me! You have a deal!
1) Do not expect us to open/hold doors for you.
2) Guess what? YOU can pick up your OWN fucking bar tab!
3) Dates? We'll split the cost from now on.
4) Child support? Nope, not anymore. You are just as cble of being on birth control as I am wearing a condom.
5) Domestic Violence? Thing of the past, simple assault charges is all. Hit a man, you GET hit like a man.

Rofltastic 1 year ago
depends on what you look like women can be equaly shallow.

6) Sexual Harassment? Done and over with. You don't like the jokes we tell at work? GTFO and find another job.
7) Your oil, flat tires, car repairs? Learn how to fix it or pay a mechanic, since "you don't need a man's help"
