nice lookin truck. ive gone through 3 exhaust systems, a thrush glasspack, straight pipe, and finally settled on the cherry bomb extreme with 3in tailpipes with 5in chrome tips coming out the back at 45 degree angles.

I got a 99 4x4 sport 5.9, headers, no cat, strait pipes with two incenerator 2 mufflers.And it sounds mean as hell. Had flowmasters for last 5 years and was ofcourse mean as hell to, but them incenrators are just as loud but have a lower throatier grawl. Definatly worth a look if your in the market for a new muffler, was very pleased with mine.

I know your post is old, but no one gave you an answer. With the 5.9 magnum engine your looking at 10-13mpg city, and 17 o so on the highway. These things arent made for gas mileage thats for sure lol.

hey if you dont mind me askin, how many miles per gallon do u get? the only reason im asking is because i have a 99 with 33inch tires and a 3 inch lift, and down the road id like to upgrade to possiably 35 inch tires and i was just curious how much difference there is in gas mileage if even a noticeable difference at all.

I really dont know thatd be pretty close. this was a 3 inch lift and my 35s wouldnt rub or anything surprisingly, and my wheels didnt have much backspacing....they didnt stick out at all. so my guess is yeah you should be fine. 4.11s would work but 4.56 would be better. thats what i had and i had plenty of power off the line. but my hwy mileage wasnt too great because the rpms were high. so 4.11s would be good for hwy, 4.56 if a lot of street. any questions let me know.

@DolittleMccoy get some videos man. I kinda miss the way the truck looked with the chrome. everything that was chrome is now black. I drive mine pretty hard I've been around 9 mpg ever since I bought it, even after I did the 4.56 gears. If I take it easy though I know I could get into double digits. The guy I bought it from, somehow the mpg thingy said 11.4 for him. after a week of owning it I had dropped it down in the 8s haha, I dont know how he did it.

is your motor stock? cuz if it is put exhaust, cold air intake, and maybe a throttle body spacer. i did the same thing to my dodge and im getten 15 mpg in town with 35 inch tires. i also have a superchip in it too

wow sorry never saw your quesion till now. the paint chips, but I offroad it pretty hard. What chips it is when you leave it in mud/water for a couple hours (after being stuck). But driving on gravel roads or just trails never chips them. Of the few times Ive chipped them I just spray them over and they look good as new. I believe they look exactly as good as factory black wheels. People think mine came black originally. Dont worry about the questions keep them coming.

When i took this 40 off, I instantly decided that I will never run a muffler on any of the vehicles I'll ever own. If i HAD to, itd be a single chamber muffler like the cherry bomb extreme.

yes it will, your 02 sensor will get confused meaning your engine light will come on. It will make your 40 sound better (louder and crackle more) but I'd recomend just getting a highflow cat.

thanks man! The ones I bought off ebay dont fit the sport either, but I didnt know it at the time. It wasnt until i got the lights that i saw on the instructions that it doesnt fit the sport, but its close enough. if u watch my vid in HQ and look from like 0:08-0:10, you can see the gap from the lights and the fender and how it doesnt fit flush up against it. but u can fix that by jamming things up under the light to holst it up and flush it against the body. I used tile spacers. hope this helps

hey how do you like the air raid cold air? I was thinkin about doing that cuz everyone and their brother has K&N so I want something different. Did you notice much HP gain? Im also gonne get a Air Raid throttle body spacer

the airaid was on when I bought it. but a buddy of mine with the same truck doesnt have one and we get the same gas mileage and same acceleration, so no noticable difference. but yes it should add atleast 5 hp, most intakes do. and yes CAI work the best with a throttle body spacer, you should definately notice better MPG, maybe very slightly performance wise.
