As a sequel, it can't take things downwards, which it did to a very far extent with its broken characterization and narrative. The truth of the film, even on its own, is that it really was terrible. It lacked continuance in developing the personalities and traits of the Predator race; in defining the Predators.

I waited to the end credits to see if Silverstri composed it or not and was surprised to discover that it was somebody else entirely. I was bemused really. Seventy percent of the music sounded like Alan's but somebody else got the credit for it? It makes no sense. But, don't worry, you won't be disappointed in the score.

@soontobe1982: Bad news, man. Alan Silvestri won't be doing the score for the new Predator movie. That task fell into the hands of John Debney, who composed for such movies as Sin City, Elf, Bruce Almighty, End of Days, The Scorpion King, and Zathura, for starters.

Debney is good, end of days had a creepy theme, maybe it will still have the same theme, like what marco beltrami did on terminator 3 and don davis did for jurassic park III, the old theme in his style dosent sound half bad!
