I feel that it helped me answer many of the questions that Waking the dead made me ask. Also glad to see that you don't "protect" your children from your firearms. Keep kicking ass man!!!

When we had our 3rd son our then 8 year old came up to me when we brought the new addition home. Know what he asked for? A gun lock for his BB gun, since it's leaned up against his bed post.Just in case his now younger brother ,could reach it. UNTIL HE LEARNED NOT TO TOUCH IT ! Asshats..the 8 year old knew that gun safety was taught ...loved it.

Have to agree with alot of the comments! My dad always had a shotgun in the house unlocked..he showed me how to use it properly and taught me it wasn't a toy. He always reminded me when he had to work away that it was my duty to protect our family. Now it seems that your not suppose to protect yourself cause it's the cops job? I've had guns laying around my house for years, I have 2 boys, now 19 and 25 that look at those weapons no differently than a lamp, because I spent time with them when they were young. Even after 26 years of marriage I see my wife stop and look at me when a gun may be laying on the kitchen table, just a confident smile always eases her mind. We have 2 jars by our dryer when my wifes does laundry, one is for coins and the other is for bullets. It's a privelege I never want to part with.

Keep in mind these people have been conditioned through mainstream news to believe a child will hunt for your gun and play with it. The fact is, that is not the case if you've allowed your children to see and shoot your guns on a regular basis. That kills their curiosity. My daughter is 2 and she sees my guns every day. Now, she doesn't care.

@EquipaPatriot Totally agree! When my daughters were 12 and 10, I bought them a bolt action .22 to teach them how to shoot. As well as the SAFETY of fire arms. They are aware of the importance of safety around them. Not once have they unlocked one to "play" with it. Nor do they get one out to show their friends. They know the right and wrong when it comes to guns. I think kids should be taught about them at an early age.

Smart to hide weapons in addition to safe. No matter how good your safe is, it can be breached with time. Only issue is that if you have kids, assume they will find the weapon at some point and prepare accordingly.
@FullAutoPerfection I have weapons outside my safe, because they are useless in side the safe when you need them. Chidlren are strictly the concern of their parents, not the "village". My father for example had many LOADED weapons in the house. All five of us knew there was a loaded double barrel behind the couch. We never touched it because dad told us not to.

@NastyChuck Here is my OPINION on that. I believe strongly that a person should learn point and shoot capability and accuracy FIRST and not learn to rely on that laser. That being said, the Laser has many advantages and I really like it. It does make it alot easier and adds speed for someone with limited shooting time and experience. But also gives a huge mental advantage, putting that dot on someones forehead or heart will make pee will flow and cause nerves to snap.

Hay Yankee, I sure enjoy your vids. I found a little item you might want be interested in. It allows my mosin to shoot .32 hand gun rounds. Makes a nice quite .22 like critter hunter out of it. Mite have use in shtf survival, gun on the cheep kind of thing. 7.62x54R to .32 cal. Multi - chamber Insert - sprotsmansguide has them.

I have hand made books for some of my reading material. Normal books that you would not expect. Still looking for a big book versio of "To Kill a Mocking Bird" though. That is just too cool to pass up. LOL

In the mean time, do you mind me having fun on this otherwise mostly boring, sometimes shitty place called youtube? you don't mind if I actually enjoy myself do you? I like making fun of asshats, I am good at it and it's easy to do. Funny Vid..Seeing other folk's bookshelves is interesting way to get to know a bit about them.. Sounds nosey I know..But I can't help but scan a bookshelf when I am at someone's place visiting. I could go on and on about this shelf.. but a big highlight for me - My Life on The Plains - Custer was an awesome crazy kickbutt Wild Man -pure and simple - I Loved that book ! How about that "Yankee's Home Hints" - sounds like a YouTube Channel!?!

@ShoreScout Wow. I have never met anyone else that has read Custer's diary. I too love his book and really have alot of respect for the kind of man he was and how he lived. @NastyChuck Here is my OPINION on that. I believe strongly that a person should learn point and shoot capability and accuracy FIRST and not learn to rely on that laser. That being said, the Laser has many advantages and I really like it. It does make it alot easier and adds speed for someone with limited shooting time and experience. But also gives a huge mental advantage, putting that dot on someones forehead or heart will make pee will flow and cause nerves to snap.

Hay Yankee, I sure enjoy your vids. I found a little item you might want be interested in. It allows my mosin to shoot .32 hand gun rounds. Makes a nice quite .22 like critter hunter out of it. Mite have use in shtf survival, gun on the cheep kind of thing. 7.62x54R to .32 cal. Multi - chamber Insert - sprotsmansguide has them.
