If u r a powerlifter, and you dont care about growing muscle, but more interested in weight - you shouldnt bother. But for a bodybuilder, the "suicide" grip allows to stretch and work the pecs much more, and also helps NOT use the deltoids as much. So u SHOULD use it, BUT ONLY for a 100% controlled weight, not go heavy on it

I would recommend lowering the weight to something u can perform as a good rep (no bouncing off chest, pause a little at bottom, keep ass on bench). and the suicide grip is sketch :p i know a lot of legitimate powerlifters that use it but i don't think i would ever
What I do is 1 warmup set with 135, 10 reps, then I do 4 sets repping a weight that I can only do the first and second set 5 times without needing a spot, then I do 4 sets of that, and max on the last set. After that, I do incline bench on the dumbells, 4 sets. Once that's done, I do decline bench, then flies, then 6 machine workouts. 4 sets on each of those. It takes about 2 hours but it feels great!! I don't know how to explain the machine ones though. sorry! hope it helps

Because of "bouncing" I personally don't feel you should go all the way down to your chest. I've always been taught "90 degrees" for your elbows. I go slightly passed that, which is about a "fist-length" where you "go down far enough" and you can't "bounce it" since you don't touch anything.

Good shit, but I don't know why you post it. haaha. I'm 16 (NO JOKE) and I can put up 245 easy. I'm trying to hit 315 by March and I already know I got that shit in a bag. I'll post a vid of that. What you were doing with the bouncing kinda takes away a little though.

@HeavilyArmoR3D there wznt much of a bounce, and the lifting of oneself is one of the many power lifting techniques. not sure if he did completely right but im sure it was close enough. and dont put too much emphasis on body size because im 6'1 170 on a great day and my max is 280 w/o a bounce or body lifting. and if u paid any attention, we wz 30 lbs heavier b4 and lifting heavier weight so im sure that plays a major factor into his strength. stop hatin

@traylojf Dude, he lifted his ass on a 295 lift, that's sloppy form and no bragging rights. It's one thing to try a weight, use bad form just to get it up and gauge where your at, but to think that's a proper legitimate lift is amateur. Anyone who thinks that shit counts either doesn't know what they're talking about or are one of his groupies in the background. Hey, if he can pop that with shitty form and only weighs 185 then he's still a pretty strong guy, but that wasn't a legit lift!

@jill1250 his ass definitely came off a lot, his back was arched like crazy, and "barely bounced?" Definitely more than "barely." Because of "bouncing" I personally don't feel you should go all the way down to your chest. I've always been taught "90 degrees" for your elbows. I go slightly passed that, which is about a "fist-length" where you "go down far enough" and you can't "bounce it" since you don't touch anything.
