  • I love me some Al Green.

  • If you young people want to learn great soul music listen to Al, James Brown,Curtis Mayfield, Marvin Gaye, Bobby Womack, etc. Al Green is one of the very best that ever did it!

  • to good !

  • @nomiclas Dont be jealous cause you live in some shit hole and al green got famous outta Memphis instead of there

  • i read where his girlfriend in the 70's threw boiling grits on him while he was in the shower! he said that was a wake-up call to change his life. well, damn!! i think that would've been a wake-up call to me, too!

  • Al Green is the greatist ever.

  • Im only 15 years old & I listen to this.. mainly because my mom listens to all these oldies. But Im glad she does, cause my generation doesnt know good music. ♥

  • is "Mr Spice"in the R&R Hall of Fame?

  • The city of memphis has had some great talent to come out of it through the years

  • @redd7188 i went to school with Al.that was GR mich.1966.he lived down the street.he left after high school.try wikepedia before you state some facts that aren't facts

  • @nomiclas what are you talking about?

  • @nomiclas oh....you mean this fact? Green came into contact with band leader Willie Mitchell of Memphis' Hi Records in 1969, when Mitchell hired him as a vocalist for a Texas show with Mitchell's band and then asked him to sign with the label.

  • @redd7188 memphis got Al after high school.the talent was raised in GR Mich and everybody moves on to better pastures.as a matter of fact Al came back to GR in the 73-74 time frame.he performed at the Limelite.the mayor of GR gave him the key to the city and if memory serves,he rejected it and left abruptly.stating in a press conference that he was treated very poorly when he lived there.i didn't check all these statements but heard most first hand.hope this explains.

    That's telling you something

  • Joell Ortiz Didn't bring me hear, but this song goes hard

  • This music

  • Sounds that filled any heroin den in the 70's

  • Fact: Al Green is entirely responsible for the word's overpopulation problem.

  • real nice song from a real nice album

  • The first time I've listened to this album, I couldn't help but wonder "just how many people have made love with Al Green playing in the background."

  • Your mom must be of my generation... We loved Al, his voice is oh so silky... Your mother has good taste...

  • Call me come back home! One of my mother`s favorites.

  • Al Green is Classic man bring back ol skool

  • thanks for posting this, been lookin for everywhere.hard to imagine someone threw a pot of grits on this man.

  • Brother Al hit #10 in Billboard, 4-14-73. God bless ya, Reverend Al!

  • It's all in a day's work..

  • It's sad that when I type in "Call Me" in the search bar this doesn't come up. Instead Shinedown, Evenscene, and Chris Brown come up. I have to put Al Green in there. Sad.

  • some "1" is retarded for not liking this song ...

  • One of the greatest soul singers to come out of Memphis, "Soulsville." The one and only Al green, just watching his live band performances on Soul Train shows you just how powerful this man's influence on music was back then and still is today. He is truely a living legend....

  • this love is real for you.Al.

  • classic, classic!

  • MAN I LOVE THIS FREAKIN SONG!

  • CALL ME!

  • that greatest hit album is so fuckin good

  • MARVIN GAYE OR AL GREEN JUT ASKIN

  • @0xoLOKiTAox0 to close to call both dope thou dood

  • @0xoLOKiTAox0 Two totally different artist in my opinion. Like comparing apples and oranges. Marvin is more of a crooner and Al more down-home gospel. Soul music has several genres within the genre and this is a great example of that.

  • Bitch dont...CALL ME

    firme rolita

  • 29,000 people have watched this video, ZERO of them have disliked it! WAY TO GO AL GREEN!

  • and the ever present hammond B3 organ growling thru the song along w/al's killer vocals(2:35-2:44- damn)

  • @01tnql: there are few better combos to be found in music than Al Green's voice + the tones of a B3:)

  • @pesmith8768 you know it!

  • When you have a mixed group of folks at your party..........Al "Mother Fuckin" Green will get them all groovin! He was a Pimp before Pimpin was cool, and he saved many o'marriages!!! Bless
