@JEVentrillon I can't agree with you about not being able to hear the amp, you can, I just don't crank it up. I play for a living and need to save my ears. I have also upgraded my mic since then. Les's tone is extremely clicky and percussive anyway. Again, the techniques are correct, the actual pattern is not. I will post the actual pattern when I have time, and hopefully put this ridiculous bitch fest to rest. Regardless, thanks for not being a complete jerk about it:)

@BMFrank5 I can't understand all the negative attention this video gets. There are a few small changes to the original song to make this technique more accessible to beginners, hence "simplified" in the title. if you already know how Les plays, why watch this video? The criticism about the sound quality is noted, I upgraded my mic and webcam about a year ago. No groove? Wrong. It has a slightly simplified groove, but can easily be played along with the original.

@wolverinerojo also you don't crank the mids set your mids to 3.5 treble to 8-9 bass to about 6.5-7.5....then on your bass switch the pickups to about 40/60 neck to bridge respectively

@SpliffusBongicaOfGor Yep, that looks about right, I think there's another pop at the end too. The original is way harder to control than my simplified version though. There are plenty of more accurate versions out there, but it's a tough tune so I'm trying to cater to beginners to the technique.

hahaha. Nice rebuff. I guess SOADROCKER135 missed the part where you say that this bass line is "similar" but not exactly the same as how Les played it. I like your interpretation, because it is less fatiguing than the original bass line, I try to simplify my bass lines when I can get away with it. On the likely chance I have to do a 4-5 hour set, the more simple the bass lines are, the less likely you are to tire out.
