  • I've seen worse handling of mobos on review sites

  • I hope he blows his shit up. Dumbass.

  • This guy never heard of ESD. This vid is an excellent example of how NOT to handle motherboards and sensitive electronics.

  • i made pc's on carpets and also use a magnetic screw driver

    nothing ever happened to them

  • Magnetics has nothing to do with it &"nothing ever happend" means you can't see it. It's a Electro Static Discharge, your body pick up a charge and unless you discharge first and work connected to ground you risk having a high voltage discharge through a curcit. You won't see this or any damage but some chip has a crater instead of a semiconductor. The processor or memory or BIOS or some other IC will not operate correctly giving memory problems data-corruption.

  • i was only pointing that out

there was a myth about coils would create a electric charge and disrupt the mobo or card

and the odds of that happening is really rare

    never happened to me

  • @mongoliantree ive handled boards like that and they still work like they have always been. i just never let them make contact with the carpet.
