  • 3:51 indian?

  • 迫力が有って凄い蹴りですなぁ・・

  • 3:20

  • 2:46 wow !!!

  • what's the name of the kick at 3:25?

  • @lympheneas

downward turning kick or downward round/roundhouse kick

  • @lympheneas Jodan Mawashigeri, it's just aimed more downwards.

  • @lympheneas

    Brazilian kick.or Mach kick.

most famous master is Glaube Feitosa.

    or Norichika Tsukamoto.

  • I love how they fall - like robots who just got unplugged.

  • karate seems like such a static stand up fighting system. They almost look like robots when they fight. I know that in certain tournaments their are rules regarding certain strikes to the head or face but it seems like so many other martial art styles would dominate over it. I think Karate had its time and now is the time of MMA, jujitsu, muay thai etc. I do appreciate karate as an art but after training in a few other arts it just looks ridiculous

  • @joshpgnut Well you're right about that karate had its time, and now it's just MMA and such....unfortunately.

  • @joshpgnut I find it to be very simple, and restrained. I like watching Taekwondo.

I hate too much physical work (which is why I hated Karate) - I bet if I were to participate in Taekwondo, I'd feel the same and eventually give up after a bit.

  • @joshpgnut Karateka most focus on gaining as much power as possible in a single blow while maintaining a strong stance. This could be why it always looks so static. Believe me it's not. Once you're in and fighting it gets really fast paced and you have to either out smart or out power your opponent. In competition you're not allowed to punch to the face, main reason is it's competition and you don't want to hurt the guy. Karate is one of the base arts in MMA also, sometimes instead of Muay Thai.

  • why is he wearing a gray belt?

  • thanks for the slow motion. otherwise I'd have to pause a lot.

  • i think the problem is they're focused on the chest instead of the eyes and so they don't really see the kick coming

  • @jonsabbagh92 If they were watching to the eyes they might not see the opponents legs well enough. The idea is that where ever you look, you need to see at the same time the opponents hands AND legs.

  • @pastropmal That is true but looking in the eyes of the opponent you can see what they might do. You can tell alot by looking someone in the eye.

  • 6:30辺りでやられた人4段やって;;

    見かけで判断したらいかんけど・・・若くない??

  • It _is_ a very odd way of sparring...

  • I seriously hate Karate, it is literally beat eachother and hardly any skill involved

  • @adman200000 Cool, ignorance gotta love it.

Enlighten me, what martial arts do you practice, also have you ever had any inkling of respect?

Also have you fought a karate practitioner, especially Kyokushin?

Apologize and be on your way ^_^.

    OSU!

  • WTF... why dont they hide their heads?

    OSU!

  • Speaking from experience, the kicks to the face that don't knock you out hurts so much more in the morning.

  • in the beginning the guy was fighting so stupid by leaving his face completely open.. same goes for the other guy

  • @ihateyoubro123 72 had VERY poor skills. He was VERY sloppy, I wasn't suprised, from the first moment I saw him I knew he would be knocked out :|.

  • @corvanjer Very poor in deed, lost to Ryu Narushima. Shame on him. You shall go and teach him a little, so that we wouldn't all have to feel so embaressed...

  • when do right, no can defend

  • Why they aren't punching in their faces ? (why they don't use arms to it)

  • @Modelkozak karate doesn't allow punches to the faces

  • @Modelkozak Karate doesn´t allow punches to the face, only kicks.

  • The first guy was a grey belt?

  • are those real knockouts? do these guys really get concussions every time they compete?

  • @aaronvespro Yes. Every time? Well, kick to head isn't the only way, and how often d'you think they compete in the end?.

  • they're allowed to kick each other in the face but not punch???

  • @xNecroKey exactly, due to the lack of gloves

  • @xNecroKey yes

  • SIT DOWN!!!

  • Kyokushinkai is the best!

  • What is the name of the guy in the first K.O? His kick is amazing.

  • @00RV00 narushima ryu

  • @tehbomb Thanks.

  • *Referee runs over to the person"

And Says "You Got knocked the Fuck out!"

  • karate = fail

  • @VenomGate7 the skills and conditioning you gain from karate are useful. its all about the fighter, not the art.

  • @VenomGate7 VenomGate7 = FAIL!!!

  • I love the ones when the guy thats getting beat up kos the other guy.

  • dan hasco eso no es un arte marcial

  • @2:34 The guy gave a thumb up before he fell lol

  • @Grimmwood LOOOOL you're right

  • @Grimmwood He's respectful...

  • it depends on the refs call, if you can stand the fight continues

  • So from what I can tell you can kick but you can't punch to the head? Still can't justify why you would keep such a low guard all the time....especially against a guy who can kick you in the head within a fraction of a second. And I'm guessing that a KO is an instant loss....

  • @mrkiky because you need to protect your body and attact too. There will easily be an instant loss also if you don't protect your body.

  • @pastropmal Yea but they leave their face wide open to a punch. So I guess the reason for this is that they are not allowed to punch to the head.

  • @mrkiky What, they should protect their head from punches that never come?

  • @pastropmal no, of course not.

  • @mrkiky You don't keep a low guard in karate. their hands are down because they are either tired or sloppy. I train in Kyokushin and my Senei always tells me to keep my hands up.

  • Chuc norris can do this better....

  • What I understand (I am a low-level Shotokan practicer) is these Kyokushin practicers fore go their blocking skills and focused on too much violently striking each other. I am not bashing the Karate style here, but the practicers and how they were trained.

  • @midosi Not the style, but one of the best fighters there is. I'm not sure what you mean on the blocking..?

  • @pastropmal They are just pushing forward and punching each other... They behave like their only objective is to strike one another. I am not seeing any footwork for out maneuvering. When that is the case, a successful high kick knocks them out cuz they are not blocking it. To better understand compare shotokan and kyokushin kumites. Shotokan is not perfect some times they stay too defensive and turn around each other a lot, but they use footwork and block.

  • @midosi There is some footwork, not a lot. It's not so necessary. Nobody fights so they would get hit as little as possible, neather so they would block as many strikes as possible. Because then they would never win.

  • @midosi he's one of the best fighters.. and kyokushin karate is also known as probably the strongest form of karate. but obviously that depends on the practitioners. just look at k-1 competition, kyokushin has dominated many times. they train their body to take hits + those weren't low level its really difficult to perform those hits in a close combat. anyway theres always advantages and disadvantages in every martial arts. & i believe shotokan is really fast while kyokushin is hard&heavy.

  • Lame, sorry

  • やっぱりハイキックじゃないと倒せないのか??

  • The guy at 9:00 wait for it wait for it POW! that what you ass gets.

  • I guess I dont know the rules to Kyokushin matches, so my comment may sound kind of dumb. But holy shit. The guy at 7:40 has at least 50 lbs on his opponent. How is that fair? Are there no weight divisions in Kyokusin?

  • @docbach329 Not in the world open tournament (which is regarded as kyokushin world championship). There it is only one weight class, and that is "open".

Other than that particular tournament, most other have 3-4 weight classes (light-, middle-, heavy- and in some cases super-heavy weight).

But the world open is based on the idea of finding the best fighter, not the best fighter at a given weight.

Lighter fighters generally stay away, but sometimes light guys enter and sometimes they do well.

  • @kolsyrade

Ah. Thanks for explaining this to me without being a deusch bag. That seems to be pretty hard for people on youtube to do.

  • great kick at 3:25 ,

    like a double up kick.

  • So basically, the first person to kick the other person's head wins?

  • @PikminExpert There sys "high kick" on top of the video. But what, does it sound too easy?

  • @MrJhMMA Well, you're not allowed to strike the face. But since this is bare knuckles, you can get KOs by punching to the body, breaking their ribs, chest bones, shoulders, etc. with your punches. Average people would probably hurt themselves if they do that against a professional Karate fighter though.

  • @MrJhMMA Yes, a good shot to the solar plexus can get you a KO, but this highlight reel is for high kicks, not punches.

  • damn I miss those 6 months................. then I was moved to shitocan

  • I love knock down

  • Chuck Norris would be so proud..

  • @marioxwarrior

Chuck Norris wasn't Kyokushin..he was Tang Soo Do (Korean Karate)

  • @imtherealthing How about shutting up and enjoying the JOKE...

    Kthx.

  • @marioxwarrior his move is kick the face

  • RYU!!

  • from what I am learning in tea kwon do a blow to the head is 3 points in sparring in the middle is one point while doing a turning kick is two points. Tea kwon do an Karate are different so I am not sure of the point system in Karate.

  • @jp3711nc1 It's a bit different, you don't get scored on hits so much as results in this style of fighting , there's one point- the ippon. You get a half point for knocking your opponent off his feet and a full point or ippon if he stays there. If no clear winner has been decided after the time-frame it comes down to a judges decision, where four judges and the referee rate you on aggression, control and technique.

  • @jp3711nc1 WTF TKD doesn't allow strikes to the face but ITF does so that's what you're practicing I guess. Kyokushin doesn't allow strikes to the face but you can go full force on each other while wearing no gears except the cup. Point spar Karate like Seido is more like the ITF.

In case you didn't know, both ITF and WTF, or rather, TKD originated from Karate.

  • @cruelgrotequeblood Thank you for clearing it up I take Korean Tea Kwon do are teachers are from Korea and we get new teachers from Korea about every month iI think our school is with a university over there.

  • it's like once the kick comes it's over

  • mawashi geri

  • Pummel the body since your going for the stamina of the opponent, don`t hit the head in kumite since you follow the rules of it and the main ideea of kyoukushin is discipline. But you can always look for the cage fights were they turn it into a showcase of animals instead of watching a fight between two respectfull oponents with beautifull moves. I would suggest you to watch the training for it and maybe you`ll feel a little bit surprised about it since it is one of the most fierced ones.

    Osu!

  • @b4nditul2008 Beautifull moves, there's no need for them being beautifull...

  • 6:18 I have to train harder so i can do this one.

    Osu

  • those idiots don't know this type of karate must shut their babbling mouths!! if your the Mr. I Know everything type and leaves sarcasm without even knowing kyokushin you retards must read the title before you watch or maybe you guys are those phelanding ones who got pass with a C without even understanding the NORMS. PS don't bit more than you can chew!

    -OSU

  • So you pummel the body until you can get a kick to the head. Why not just punch to the head, or would the matches be too short then?

  • @rei9765 the rules don't allow for head punches, otherwise it would resemble more of a brawl and the fight would also be too short. and this video is a compilation of specifficaly kicks to the head.

  • @rei9765 there wouldn't be matches at all!

  • This is not karate this is bullshit!

  • this sport is specially design for the gays. if u r fighting with a gay guy, dont worry about the fist, but watch out for the palm. they r really good at slapping ur face. lol

  • Are close range joint locks and throws incorported in these competitions, because if not it does'nt make much sense to not wear gloves and allow hand strikes to the face

  • @themi90 They are not. Grabbing is not allowed. Neather is pushing.

  • OSU from Great Britain.

  • Another reason why punches to face aren't allowed is that many countries don't allow bare knuckle strikes to the face. So you either not punch face and keep it bareknuckle as Mas Oyama intended., or put on gloves and move into kickboxing (a lot of karateka do that, K1 for example).

Kyokushin and it's spinoffs have a saying (I practice Seido, there's Ashihara and Enshin too) 'train realistically, compete safely.' So karateka do know to defend/attack face, they just can't do it in kumite/comp

  • @TheWrongHero Totally the balls man..

  • @samjurai Then you know nothing, and there is no point in debating this. End of discussion.

  • @TheWrongHero I love how angry on YouTube everyone is lol. where his foot connected would have hurt your balls *end of discussion* lol

  • give them the small gloves used in mma and allow punches to the face and you can cover getting punched i nthe face but they punch in the face in the dojo so im sure they would be allright

  • @mitchx69 it is happend now, we use the boxing tech on training, thowing and lock techniqe, bt tournament rules i different , for now, it's will be chengend , soon.

  • @mitchx69 They couldn't punch the face for a reason. Their face would be severely damaged from the punches. Karate-kas punches hurt like mad. How bout you try fighting a professional heavyweight karate-ka without the rules of no punches in the face.

  • @toxicinspector I know there bare knuckled

  • OSU

  • bloody hell. i rather get whacked in the face with a baseball bat than from one of these kicks.

  • its refreshing having a highlight video with out the music and with just the sounds you can hear from there

  • Oh shit!!! the guy at 3:52 really thought he was doing something with those sounds, then all of a sudden.... Bamn Good Night

  • ※HD版もあります。

    極真空手の上段廻し蹴りによるKO集。

  • if there was punch to the head they would not rush in like that!!!

  • Thanks to haven't add music :)

  • osu from wiesbaden, germany

  • is that ryu narujima?

  • 5:33 - 5:40 "I have a roundhouse." "Well, I have a high kick. See you later, buddy."

It's amazing how in kyokushin the match can be over in an instant if anyone catches their opponent mentally asleep at the wheel for so much as one second.

Most of these ippon victories seem pretty clear to me...does it seem to anyone else that the high kick victories are a little more "obvious" than the others?

  • Combine this will normal Boxing and you got yourself a nice recipe for kickass.

  • @OJW21

    jeet kune do?

  • perfect.

  • Narushima has a nice tactic and timing for his fearsome high kick, just landing deceiving low or mid kick and then awaiting a opening then knockout

  • Not allow to punch the head ?

  • @letskickoff nope, cant punch to the head in tae kwon doe either. i personally think kicking arts are a waste. u develop good kicks but the second u wanna compete in anything else a good boxer will block those high kicks and first punch he lands is gonna put you down. u have to develop your whole body as a weapon not just your legs

  • I find it funny a lot of the anti-karate retards here seem to forget this is a HIGHLIGHT video of KNOCKOUTS. Do you honestly think they fight without maintaining their guard? They are getting hit because they drop it for an instant. Hard as it may seem to comprehend, matches last a lot longer that the clips shown on a youtube video.

    Osu!
