Zoos imprison animals who long to be free. Please don't pay to keep animals imprisoned. Learn about animals by watching nature documentaries or by observing them in their own habitats instead.
@MusicalCafe a lot of nature documentaries are not only shot in the wild but also use captive animals in order to get certain shots and behaviors on film to educate people. Modern day zoos do a lot for conservation of wild animals in their native habitat.
@MusicalCafe Except their habitat is disappearing. Zoos did exist once for humans to observe the animals, but now the primary goal is education and, more importantly, genetically diverse breeding programs. Someday we might not need zoos anymore because there will be many stable populations to which all animals can be returned, but when so much habitat in the world is threatened, we and the animals themselves need them now.
Please upload more videos like this. If you could also upload some that don't include narration, but just show the keeper training the animal, that would be even better. It is interesting to hear the sounds the lion makes, and the words the keeper uses to communicate and reinforce behavior. And the facts presented in the narration could be included in the text description of the video.

Even in a cage, I would be slightly afraid of her.
She's beautiful though.
