  • ( 60's texas slasher movie THE BLACK CAT)

YES!! = the Edgar Allen Poe short story! look it up, it's wack!

the Inside My Brain jacket cover is a still from the final scene of the movie.....guy tries to ax-crush the black cat (which he had killed weeks ago in a drunken rage) that 's been terrorizing him from beyond the grave, but misses and killsz his wife through the head with the ax. oopsie!

  • @aupsychobilly lol still doesnt make sense to me, cause everywhere i have been and seen samoans they're really polite and humble people, guess i gotta go carson one day.

  • The cover of Inside My Brain was taken from an old psycho movie from 1966 called The Black Cat.

  • Angry Samoans had a huge 2impact when our scene heard Inside My Brain in 1980.Several bands formed after hearing it ,Youth Korps,Youthful Offender.

  • because you heard of the angry samoans you found this.....now think about us old punks we had none of this hightech stuff yuk yuk.....but it is true...u can read all about every band but you were not there so show respect to your old drunk punk rock,rz....olypic auditoruim ,fenders...coocoos nest....

  • Thank God NWT gave them some exposure..

  • Love this band Fuck haters this is punk.. get the fuck out

  • Good gosh, did they ALWAYS suck this bad?! I'm sorry, if some of you out there have cool memories of this band anywhere from 1980 to '82 or so, then that's great but this BLOWS. I mean, come on, there were better punk rock bands out there.

  • @MattHatter - I agree- but Punk wasn't about being better. It was about Being and Doing. There were so many bands that "sucked"....but they did it - that was the whole reason behind all of American Punk- to do it and learn how to express - which includes music, poetry and art- (and A/S didn't always "suck" this bad.)

  • why are they called angry samoans, i mean their not samoans

  • @loouuiissaaelle They are from Carson (South Bay of LA), you ever been to Carson? Plenty of Angry Samoans in Carson...I think it is funny as fuck.

  • well keep in mind that NWT was a ramshackle operation. after all the bands at the early 1982 taping had finished (an entire warehouse full --.Social Distortion, us, and six or seven wastes of space), we set right back up (with permission) and had them "roll tape" of us doing as many more songs as we could before we were cut off. annnd nahh guess what happened? don't remember when, but their crew RAN OUT OF RECORDING TAPE. jeeeesuz christ. whatever extra footage was cut never surfaced.

  • Thank YOU! That was pure GOLD!!!! (of all the times for the download links to not be readable....)

Totally fantastic especially Inside My Brain! I didn't know this footage existed!

  • so good

  • bill v. rules!

  • GREAT STUFF

  • Awesome Footage of true WestCoast Pioneers, who incidentally knew their shit & could write a mean tune, as seen here with the great performance of 'InsideMyBrain'! I mean we all know the PunkRock Oligarchy of L.A. & S.F. decided to ignore them despite one of the Best debut albums of the era, because they weren't politically correct . But they still had/have their Fans & I'm one! If you don't like it - go fuck yourself! (that's better) they were Angry ~ lets not forget.

  • that guy was a dick!

  • @lexarquette this comment is relevant how?

  • @lexarquette Alexis...I think they were being ironical. By the way I like your channel.

  • greatest band of all time, even if only for a few minutes

  • These guys were brilliant. I don't care what anybody says.

  • @toiseywoisey I went to your profile and read your comments on other videos. Do you always sound like you're a high schooler who just learned how to write bad poetry?

  • "new wave sucks."

  • "pictures of matchstick men and you , pictures of matchstick men" like the Status Quo hit

  • I thought the sound and performance was fine especially compared to the sound and mix of the last time on NWT (Gas Chamber and Not Of This Earth).

So this was done some time between March and June 80. I was hoping there were 5 appearances on NWT. Woulda been nice to hear Right Side, Asshole and or Get Off the Air.

Especially since Steak Knife was done twice, the later 4-piece version was not good.

So what are you saying around 2:20 I can't make it out?

  • 4 times on NWT, correct. this, then samoans/Jeff Dahl, then 4-piece w/o Dahl (todd on vocals), and then the common early 1982 lineup doing Gas Chamber/Not Of This Earth clip. "got one thing to say...billy squier!" hey, DON'T SAY NO was half-awesome. and i heard "The Stroke" in a Guitar Center music store randomly the other day...whoa, GREAT riff! and best "music industry" lyric ever written...code for "blow me, blow me," right.

  • holy whoa, where did this surface from? it's from spring-early summer 1980 (before i quit/moved north to Oakland/bay area via a serous job promotion). sound sucks re drums/vocals (subpar singing, right) but the WHITE NOISE hammerdown-stroke GUITAR SOUND is exactly as intended, nonstop 1977 Saints or 1973 Stooges. via PJ's amazing rhythm guitar grind. 1979-80 LA punk: the BEST shit ever!
