@Bulgdoom Yeah, typically when a company goes after total weight on a product this small to begin with, it ends up being a bunch of tiny savings which add up to a meaningful amount in the end. I didn't invent it, but I am happy to share my knowledge of the process.
@bobwatters It really delivers on everything that Bell set out to do in competing with the RF1100. It's one of our favorite sport helmets of this season.
@MrBluetini Hey Bluetini, we are huge fans of this helmet and I don't see why it wouldn't be a good fit for you and your Ninja 250. The comfort, stability and aerodynamics are at the top of the food chain for a sport helmet and my guess is you'll be getting a bigger bike before you need a new helmet. Hope this helps!
What would you wear between the RS-1 and the Nexx XR1R.
I like both and I know Bell is a great company now, and the Nexx is getting great reviews, but I worry about how it would stand up if it ever has to meet the ground.
@bilalm86 Hey B, the Vortex is a great lid, one of my fav <$200 Snell 2010 Lids out there. The K3 is solid as well but the RS-1 is a big step up in functionality and weight savings. The Bell RS1 is much more top tier than it is mid-range.
@RevZillaTV okay so what about K3 vs Vortex? or do you think its worth stepping up a level? what are you riding with? like i said im a first time rider
@bilalm86 hey B, first time rider or not, Helmets are an investment in your head's safety. If you buy one of the $200 helmets you may find yourself hankering for a nicer lid in a year or two. If you pick up an RS-1 you will be all set on protection and comfort for as long as you want. If you can afford it, buy the premium lid. Its worth it, even if as a new rider, you won't be able to quickly know the difference between the premium and mid level.
@bilalm86 Forget what you think you know about Bell's brand. New ownership in the last 5 years and they are doing all the right things. Very much emerging as a player in the world of Shoei, Arai AGV and the other name branders..

would you recommend this to someone who rides a 09 ninja 250 or would it be consider too high up the chain for such a small bike ??

How would you compare the aggressiveness between the RS-1 and RF-1100?
Which would you also consider to be your favorite between the two and why? .. Minus the weight difference that is

@HuffPCair They are both sick lids. I think it comes down to styling and which appeals to you more.
