@zcm007attack It was ten times worse in The Book because unlike the Movie, she didn't get her Happily Ever After. I wish Tom Perrotta who wrote the Book did a Sequel where there's a Reunion where Tammy finally finds happiness. She probably lives in California, works as a Counsellor and helps Teens who really need someone to talk to.
This film is probably one of the best I have ever seen and everyone is wonderful in it. I did look up the actress who played Tammy and I find it a shame that she hasn't acted again (speaking of which, if youy have further information, could you please tell me).
Tammy Metzler resembles those type of political figures who aren't afraid to stand up to the status quo, her removal from the election was like a preemptive coup d'etat - removing her before she gains any significant political power, and the lack of student uprising and revolt resembles the American apathy of the majority.
