" I bet you wont stay...too bad" he says that line in move away....neat. I've actually Never even heard this song before and I'm known as the "boy George girl"
I LURVE this track. Too Bad and Heaven's Children I WISH were released with video's before they broke up. This track would have really put that extra punch in what was lacking in 1986 Pop Muzik!
Brilliant, I was only thinking about this recently, I remember wondering at the time how long it went on for and did they miss many lessons!! I was very Jealous at the time!!
I thought From Luxury to Heartache had some great moments but George was singing so freakishly high almost the whole record - which made songs like this one so much more enjoyable. he almost sounded like a cartoonists impression or something. Culture Club could have gone on to make more great records and did with "Don't Mind if I do" where I thought George sounded more like he did in earlier recordings. I suspect the best record for George has still to be made :-)
I like that comment you amde about the instruments not being plugged in.."too bad"...I am laughing out loud. I have actually loved this funky song for 23 years, and never knew that they performed it live...I am watching them and it's...too bad...George looks TIRED (he's not even trying, really)...only 4 years after "Do You Really Want to Hurt Me" Sad.
I'm from Singapore and a 34 years old married woman with a loving & handsome american husband and 2 beautiful & lovely daughters. Let me tell you I've love Boy George ever since I've known about culture club in 1982 and I was only 12 years old. I love his made up & hair & hat & clothes & etc etc etc. Inregardless what had happened with his past, I'll still love him dearly. Hey no one is perfect so nothing going to change my love for Boy George =D
This was when George was really messed up with heroin. In his book, Take It Like a Man, he talks about being messed up on the Bob Hope special in Sweden. This is from the same promo trip to Sweden. But when I was a kid- I had no idea! Thanks for posting this video.
From Luxury to Heartache is, IMO, their best album. Poor Georgie's pain was the fuel behind CC's best songs, I believe. Jon's such a queef. And Georgie was so cute during this era in Culture Club's career... too bad he was twittled out of his mind on heroin during a lot of it. I blame Mazzer.
I am so torn about what I think are the best on this album, because I must say I love, love, LOVE "Heaven's Children." That song makes me cry!!! I get chills when he sings at the end "I would talk they would not hear me."
i don't care for this , i think george was smoking too much pot when he put this together , the whole thing is so overdone and not culture club at all ! it sounds so 1983 , they totally lost touch with reality music wise , too bad ! yuk !
george is so horny hot in this video!!!

I love "Come Clean" as well... AND "Heaven's Children". There were no videos made for the two so if it ends up here, it's a fan made one... ;)
