That sucks. Good thing that a re-occurance of The Demon didn't happen. The Demon got stuck once in 1998. And here's the sad part:

The passenger train was actually stuck smack dab in the middle of the 2nd vertical loop!!

I have never been stuck on Demon, praise the Lord!! I remember seing that on all those wild video shows, and that would have sucked!! I was also stuck on American Eagle, Batman, and probably something else. Check my Stuck Rides folder!! Thanks!

Yeah, Sky Whirl's a favorite of mine when I was a little kid and it still is. Even though it's gone. The California ride was the one I rode on. Same one that's in Beverly Hills Cop 3, but it was taken down in 1997 for Invertigo. Seeing Invertigo now makes me sad sometimes.

You guys at Gurnee are lucky to keep your Sky Whirl for 3 more years. Six Flags took it down because of "Old Age". What I mean is by maintenace, not that it kept on breaking down (unlike Deja Vu, just saying). It's the lack of replacement parts for Sky Whirl's mechanics and no one was making them anymore. Basically, Six Flags ran it untill the parts it had left wore out. That's what I mean by "Old Age" for rides.

The reason for the California ride's removal is unknown. I think it has something to do with it being mis-used and abused because of how it was used in Beverly Hills Cop 3.

My friend's aunt works for this pharmaceutical thing and every year they get tickets for six flags extremely cheap and they close down the park for a day and it's open only for people who tickets from the pharmaceutical thing! Pretty awesome because when you walk in they give you another free ticket :D
