Oh yeah, it hurt like hell to swallow. It hurt like hell even when I was doing nothing! The only way I could get it to stop hurting long enough to breathe properly was to take 3289572394832 Advil all day long.
It CAN be serious so I would say that if your lymph nodes are still swollen and painful after 2 weeks, see a doctor (or a minute clinic, if money is an issue).

I was on antibiotics (Amoxcillin i think it was called) for about a week and two days. I also was doing alot of salt water rinses. I tried all kinds of remedies but the antibiotics were what kicked it out. I hope something helps you soon :)

How much antibiotic? I *HATE* the healthcare system in the states. It's the reason why there is so much antibiotic resistance. People take a few left over pills, but not enough to kill off the entire infection, so resistant strains evolve, and then we all die.

Ugh, I had some inflamed lymph nodes a few years ago and had to have surgery to have them removed. I woke up in the middle of it gagging on the tube down my throat. The doc said the inflammation could have been caused by cat scratches. hope u feel better.

Hahah, I'm sorry I looked miserable. I had to rerecord the video like three times for various reasons and by the time I got this one done, I was like "augh, my throat hurts, lets just get this over with."
I wish I had some Theraflu! I used the last pack on my last ailment... which was only a month ago!

Ugh, I had some inflamed lymph nodes a few years ago and had to have surgery to have them removed. I woke up in the middle of it gagging on the tube down my throat. The doc said the inflammation could have been caused by cat scratches. hope u feel better.

Had a real pro moment while checking out your blog. Now keep in mind, I had only had 4 hours of sleep prior; not that I'm using that as an excuse.
Anyway, I get to the part where you talking about speaking Elvish, and the first thing that comes to mind is "How the hell do you talk like Elvis?" So I'm wracking my brain trying to figure it out, and then I take a closer look, light bulb goes off, and I spend the next hour ramming my face into the wall.
