If Dr Stiffler were really telling the Truth about his SEC and CEC characteristics, then he would do the same as you - put his assembly inside an insulated container - then take the container out into a field or park, and demonstrate with a new earth stake and wire just like Thomas Henry Moray did.

Suppose 'Dr' Stiffler has some piece of electronic gear on his bench powered by a switch mode supply ?

Is this 'Dr' telling the WHOLE Truth ?

it is just an inverter nothing new at all. as you tune it it draws more current

Nice cage - I'll have to give that a try.

Mine lights w/ or w/o the ground. with the ground, I get more light.
