Its a rehearsal of a transmission of a nuclear launch code, in case the US ever got its shit so high that we need to let the bombs drop. The transcript is incomplete and they change the codes often enough that this one would be ridiculously out of date.

It's code, no way to know what it is without a correct cipher.

It's an OTP cipher. It's impossible to decrypt without the private key.

Oh shove it up your ass. Every major power listens in to these transmissions and probably decodes the messages faster than the intended receivers do.

accualy the code mean nothing unless your the intended reciever of the message. The first 2 to 4 charecters are presidential nuclear authorization, it shows the message was accualy issued by the president, or his successor. The rest is entered into the computer and shows how many missiles to launch and where to send them according to the SIOP (Strategic Integrated Operational Plan). If your an enemy spy this code means absoultly nothing to you.

It is an echoing caused by more than one station being heard...

Pretty much this. Each station in the HF-GCS seems to retransmit, making sure that each station around the world hears the call.

@karldotcom The echo is due to an effect called Long Path. It is caused when a signal goes around the world via bounce and arrives at the receiver a split second later that the direct path!
