  • Cut corporate taxes, cut social security. Can these heartland morons not see the connection?

  • yeah, give the option to younger workers who aren't as wise and not thinking about the long-term future, but when they're 40 and they opted out, dollars to donuts they will be kicking themselves in the ass

  • Paul makes no sense on social security, he said the problem was people taking money out for other issues besides that of senior/disability care, so why give people the opportunity to opt out if it's working fine except people misappropriated funds, just end the misappropriation

  • That's it Wolf, cut of Mr. Paul because he was about to own this segment. Let us not have as much exposure to the best option...let us be exposed to the vanilla and the empty shirts.

  • romneyperryromneyperryromneyperry...snore. Thank you MSM for not focusing on the candidate that has real ideas or convictions on how to get us on the right track.

  • @kooooolmatt You people that think ANY of these SHILLS are going to do something GOOD are fools. I am inclined to like Paul -HE IS ELECTABLE BY THE WAY- but until he dedicates MUCH time explaining the discrepancies of speaking against the 'mechanism' of what is wrong with our Country without addressing the ROOT CAUSE, ie., Secret Societies, I consider him one OF THEM.If you think for a NANO SECOND our elections are decided by us, you are a fool of the highest order. We CHOOSE from TAINTED STOCK!

  • Why the fuck does Newt Gingrich have a permanently dissatisfied face? He is the most unlikeable person and you just cant help wanting to hit him whenever they point the camera at his face.

  • Did you notice how Blitzer got irritated when Gingrich took a shot at Obama?

  • My humble opinion:

    - Mitt Romney is VERY well studied. He would make a great president, but he comes across like a hyperactive child when he speaks. Sadly, that matters.

    - Ron Paul is always consistent & he really does believe what he says. I love & respect that!!! But we all know he is un-electable by a long shot. But he should still keep preaching. Hopefully some of what he says sinks in.

    - Rick Perry is very presidential in the way he responds. Calm & cool. So my vote is for him.

  • @mrpmac you base your vote not on someone's positions and experience but on their charisma?

  • @mrpmac and the only reason people think RP's "unelectable" is because that's what the news has been spouting over and over and over, despite the fact he's polling right up alongside Obama, Perry, and Romney and has outstripped Bachmann completely.

If anything he's the best choice for the GOP if they really want to beat Obama because he is drawing a lot of liberal voters to him as well as conservatives. Perry and Romney can't do that.

  • @IcyScythe Well, the fact that he got openly boo-ed by the (republican) audience in the last debate is very telling of what the public thinks of some of his socially-incorrect views (no matter how logical they are). How could he possibly stand a chance against Obama. I am a realist. Everyone knows he would get KILLED!

  • @mrpmac that was a small group of neo-con nuts. You look at the polls it's a different story. CNN declared Romney the winner despite the poll on their website showing over 75% of online users thought Ron Paul won.

And Ron Paul is the only candidate who can draw liberal voters to him. Many liberals I know support him even if they disagree with his positions on abortion and welfare.

Again supporting someone because they're is charismatic is not wise, at least base it on their positions please!!

  • @mrpmac anyways if you agree with more of Paul's views than the others (who have a bad track record when it comes to big government), I hope you at least vote for him in the primaries. You can always vote for Romney later if he wins the primary race.

  • @mrpmac umm... ur vote is for him because he is calm and cool? no wonder America has gone to shit

  • Something bugs me about this whole thing. I don't know what, but I think it is the fact that people still worship the man and not focus on the Ideal. I love Ron Paul, but if the Tea Party's really into being fiscally responsible, they would look towards a man that has 5% of a CNN poll (more than Huntsman and Santorum), Gary Johnson. A successful Governor that accomplished things by way of the Constitution to the letter. Ron Paul made way for somebody like him. Google his name. Gary Johnson.

  • As for SS & Medicare, what do I care? I'm 30 years old; I will never see either one. Yet, they still debate these things as if they matter. It only shows that they are "status quo" and trying to gain votes from the elderly (Thank you very much).

For real though, whatever happened to the words of Patrick Henry? I would much rather die instead of taking entitlements from the government. There is no liberty in doing such a thing. Isn't that attitude more American than ranting in a Tea Party?

  • Stupid Milky Lickers.

  • tea party more like the lemon party!

  • I hope Ron Paul gets at least the party candidacy!

  • Ron Paul comes in 1st for me every time. And strangely enough Herman Cain still makes sense then the rest and comes off as actually "truthful".

  • By the way, all these guys are batshit insane. Ron Paul is honest, but still insane. Obama is a corporate man, and the current Congress is useless. I wish I had the money to just leave.

  • @PhazonElitist Y r they insane? N what do u mean Obama is a corporate man?

  • Why is the crowd hooting like they're at a Jerry Springer show?

  • Fuck Perry...little two faced bitch. END SOCIAL SECURITY!! I'm tired of paying for the baby boomers. You old people had your youth, stop trying to steal from mine. You don't deserve crap for "paying into the system" because its YOU people who tacked on all this debt for my generation to pay for...only if there was a surplus would you be entitled to that money.

Please god let all baby boomers die soon....GHOST/PERRY 2012

  • wolf cut ron paul off and let the others talk bull

  • If you know the definition of the " leader" The only one who can be a leader is Rick Perry.

The rest are going under the category of "manager'

  • @jaywest70 Exactly what is your point? The President is essentially the manager of the country, no?

  • Hermain Cain is the only one that seems to answer the questions with a solution...

  • kudos to Huntsman on the Cobain reference. Those Republican squares didnt get it.

  • Notice how he never got back to Paul. These media people don't let talk because they're afraid of his message. Ron Paul is the man for 2012

  • Good news. Perry is flip flopping again on his views

  • MY GOD PLEASE VOITE FOR RON PAUL. HE'S BY FAR THE BEST CANIDATE

  • The quickest way to keep Obama in the White House until 2016 is to nominate Ron Paul or this idiot Huntsman. Both scare the crap out of me but at least I respect Paul's adherence to the Austrian school of economics.

Of course, if we did keep Obama in the White House, things will collapse sooner and we can battle the leftist, hand-out loving scum in the streets. It's going to happen sooner or later, we might as well get it out of the way.

    -the Meat and Potatoes Blog

  • no time for ron paul...

  • Best thing about Gingridge is that he is humble and uplifts and supports his fellow republican. He has different views but he always is kind.

  • @kooooolmatt o you mean the guy that went to the bohemian grove.. LOL you make me ROFL.. he's a tool

  • Comment removed

  • Find me ONE SINGLE SPEECH where Paul has spoken out against it

  • rick perry u are a tool

  • I think Michele Bachmann did well in this debate, this was her best debate by far, And the Women card will help her, cause no one will attack her

  • Perry scares the crap out of me. I mean other than Ron Paul they all scare the crap outta me but Perry looks like the type that is going to EXPLODE! the first time anything happens and start going all Yosemite Sam on us.

  • Look for 'The Frost Advisory' on facebook

  • Have ANY of these candidates EVER DENOUNCED the influence of Secret Societies in government? NO! THE ONLY THING that will change this place is to replace ALL current federally elected politicians with people voted on by a MAJORITY of the PEOPLE! PEOPLE! NOT parties! And for the interim, until we have our gov't securely reformed, ALL elected offices in the federal realm MUST be re-elected EACH YEAR! NO CAMPAIGNING FOR SITTING OFFICIALS! YOUR TRACK RECORD IS ALL YOU RUN ON!

  • @theguitarczar are you sure Ron Paul hasn't? I could of swore I've even heard him talk about Bohemian Grove on a few occasions.

  • @CaptBlackSheep The ONLY thing I've heard Paul speak out against was Bohemian Grove. But it really wasn't a denouncement. He just said that elected officials shouldn't be making policy in such settings -or thereabout- I can't find it now. I want SO BAD to support Dr. Paul. I can't until I hear him boldly pronounce an ABHORRENCE of the influence of Secret Societies over people's unaware of their actions.

  • It must be made so If one has ever been a member of any of these societies, you can't serve the Public Trust! Period!

  • Comment removed

  • NONE -You hear me?!!!- NONE OF THESE SHILLS are going to TRY to do ANYTHING other than TAKE from you and I, and HORDE this Country's wealth for THEMSELVES, THEIR RICH CONSTITUENTS and MOST ABHORRENTLY, are going to GIVE THE KEYS TO THE KINGDOM TO THE ROTHSCHILD/SAXE-COBURG & GOTHAS, etc., better known as the Illuminati.

  • Man, Rick Perry and Mitt Romney give me the creeps. And shame on Wolf Blitzer for continually trying to inflame the debate by reinforcing these media buzzwords that keep the discussion off topic. We want to hear substance in these debates. Wolf shouldn't have been the moderator here. There's a clear conflict of interest.

    Ron Paul 2012!!!!

  • I'll summarize so you don't have to watch. Romney would say or do anything to get elected and wants it so bad he makes you uncomfortable. Perry is basically a politician using Ron Paul's ideas summarized in talking points. Huntsman is a communist. Gengrich had his chance but blew it and likes being on T.V. Santorum, Bachman & Herman Cain are probably already writing their books.

  • @mbbrown30 pretty good haha

  • I use to like Mitt, but after hearing his position on SS, I made a gigantic mistake. I am 29 now, I have been FORCED to pay into this garbage for 10 years now. It is unconstitutional end of story. Gun to my head for my own good retirement programs need to be abolished. Unreal Mitt, you are an complete dolt.

  • Concerning Mitt Romney, who is 'Mittiest', Oscar Wilde is eternally right when he said that all bad art comes from good intentions. He seems to have nothing else but good intentions.

  • RON PAUL 2012

    please america do your homework

  • wow when paul was talking its like they skipped over him and went back to perry

    from 6:50-7:30 smh sad

  • Flip Flopney is at it again.

  • O.k. on the internet, Ron Paul clearly leads. I see that loud and clear (I do not have a T.V. in my home). Who do the 7+ hours a day T.V. watchers believe is leading??

  • Comment removed

  • @CTYFOLK Is that a leading question? It seems that the media is asking Ron Paul questions, which is important, they don't want to only know where he stands, and as far as I can judge from the videos (TV) I have watched here, no other candidate is as appreciated in the media and taken as seriously as Ron Paul. If this is not the case, please, anyone, let me know....

  • Stole?

    Gangsta government?

    Really?

  • Ron Paul kicked ass!

  • John Huntsman is the only one that makes any sense, and that is why he wont get the nomination. The party has been hijacked by tea bagging morons.

  • @MrBetterGame I don't really expect an answer as much as attention to these debates from your part. All the best....

  • @MrBetterGame I mean, if you are disappointed to that degree. I find these debates much better than they were four years ago.

  • Ron Paul ran rings around Romney and Perry on this question. SS wouldn't be broken if Republicans hadn't stolen money from it to pay for war. Simple as that, and you heard it from a Republican.

  • @acidjack73, hey you forget to included the "lib-democ-rats" liberal Democrats used that money distributed to their base to buy votes.

  • @acidjack73

It's about time that GOP and their puppet masters paid it back then. With interest!

  • So, Bachmann and the other GOP are basically saying: "Hey old people. I know you'd be against making changes to social security if it affected you, but it won't affect you. It will only affect every single other person in America. But screw them, right??? When did they ever do anything for YOU? Just keep on thinking of nobody but yourself...and don't forget to vote for Republican."

  • I`m not a Romney fan but he sure doesn`t take any of Perry`s crap. I have to respect that! "No, what I said was that CONGRESS taking money out of the social security trust fund is criminal." Yes! That`s true! :D

  • @passion8leader @passion8leader I like the fact that Romney and Perry have been reading each other's books and it is so low to quote each other's books like this, they seem to go along together just fine....

  • @passion8leader They have a weakness for each other,.,

  • The ONLY thing wrong with Social Security is that the republicans borrowed (STOLE) from it when Bush was in office. Hey Republicans, STOP STEALING FROM "OUR" SOCIAL SECURITY !! IT`S NOT YOURS TO TOUCH! Social Security has been WONDERFUL for Americans!! DON`T SCREW WITH IT!

  • As a Canadian who has followed Ron Paul for almost a year now (I'm 18, and wasn't too politically involved prior), it is quite obvious that he is the BEST choice for Republican Nominee and hopefully President of the United States. Needless to say, if he wins, I will cry.

Come on Americans, this is the man's last shot at the big job, and your last chance to elect someone of a firm and unyielding, truly American conviction.

    RON PAUL 2012!

  • Cain is annoying.

  • Why is Newt correlating employment and federal funding? If he's a Keynesian, then he shouldn't believe the government can spend an unlimited amount forever. If he's an Austrian , he should believe that all taxation hurts the economy. I don't think he has consistent economic views...

  • What Newt was saying was that (theoretically) if we unemployment were not at its absurd level it is today, SS would not be in such dire straits. After all, last year, SS paid more out in benefits than it took in in taxes. Had more people been working, the program may have paid enough to cover it. Its all academic because what happened has happened and cannot be taken back.

Interesting how seemingly unrelated issues collide. Supposedly almost 30,000,000 children have been aborted. (More)

  • @MrChrisdube By correlating SS and abortion, you're classifying people as tax-livestock. I think it's better to address each issue separately.

  • If those 30 million had NOT been aborted, think of all the SS Taxes that would have been collected. Perhaps hs conversation about SS could have been avoided.

  • Social Security:

    1) Young peoples' money is stolen by the state.

    2) That money sits in a bank account

    3) Checks, from that account, are written to old people

    Ponzi Scheme:

    1) New investors give their money to a fund manager

    2) That money sits in a bank account

    3) Old investors are written checks out of that account.

Social Security is worse than a Ponzi scheme. In a Ponzi scheme, investors can choose not to participate. Social Security runs on mandatory participation.

  • S.S. is a failure

  • Ron Paul is gonna win!

  • There should be 1/8 likes and 7/8 dislikes. Considering only 1/8 of this video makes sense.

  • "It's criminal... no, it's not criminal! Your book... no, your book!!"

That anyone pays attention to either Romney or Perry boggles the mind of a sane human being

  • Rick Perry is an absolute monstrosity. He doesn't know if he is coming or going. He is such a FLIP FLOPPER... You cannot trust him. The only one that can be trusted is Ron Paul

  • its funny how everyone quotes ron paul

  • The republican establishment is afraid of Ron Paul's ideas.

  • This debate was also only giving time to select candidates. BUT, they must have been talking in the last debates because several of the candidates answers sounded like what Herman Cain has been preaching in the previous debates.

  • "Congressman Paul, hold that thought" - What? He's hardly talked! I was waiting for Wolf to tell that to Romney and Perry!

  • This was a joke of a debate...they kept allowing 2 candidates to take most of the time, saying nothing, literally NOTHING that we didn't already know. I think Dr Paul was frustrated at the ridiculous nonsensical turns that this so-called debate took. Are we REALLY this SLOW in this country now?? OMG Please people, wake up and LISTEN to Ron Paul and PLEASE give him your vote in the election.

  • Is it just me, or does Gov. Perry look like a chimpanzee?

  • Why did they cut off Ron Paul?

  • did perrys daughter take the shot that her daddy made all girls take ? He is a criminal. and a fool. Perry and romney are spitting in your face and calling you stupid. If you do not see that. there is no help for you. Ron Paul is the only one on stage that has a plan and tells the truth. perry is puppeting what Dr Paul is saying, only to fool you into voting for his dumb ass.Galveston is Ron Pauls district. So what he says works does.RON PAUL 2012

  • Not yet on the system? Bachman you cunt, I've been paying my whole life and told SS would be there.

  • god damn the crowd is from a football game lol it is fun though

  • did huntsman make a reference to kurt cobain of nirvana at 8:40 ?

  • they always show ron paul when he's messing with his jacket or writing something or doing something other than standing there "looking presidential"

  • Comment removed

  • Go f yourself moxnews

  • Rick perry is the champion at empty rhetoric.

  • quite funny ... somehow. You just have to say sth like: "Obama sucks!" ... : the crowd is freaking out.

  • Ron Paul: "Social security is broke."

Blatant lie. SS has a 2.7 TRILLION dollar surplus, from which the government borrowed to spend on the wars, Bush tax cuts and Wall street bailouts, which most Americans did not agree with just like they didn't care about the polls when ALL republicans voted for the oil subsidies.

Republicans also don't give a fuck about the budget, the last republican who balanced it was Eisenhower..

  • @Somai82 Where was his blatant lie? He has been saying the exact same thing you just did for years.

  • @SunshineSlayer I quoted it. He said SS is broke, which is bullshit. Look it up.

  • @Somai82 Did you even watch the video? When he said social security is broke he immediately said it is broke because the government spent it on wars.....

  • @SunshineSlayer It's not broke it's borrowed money, it still belongs to the SS surplus. And more importantly if it was, it wouldn't be because SS spent it too on those who needed it. Still the republicans blame the program itself and rather see it go to the "job creators" which just is a coin term for the rich.

On the other hand, taxes are at an all time low while the economy is still in a mess and none of the "trickle down effects" are happpening.

  • @Somai82

1988-1990 saw the top tax rates at 28%. That is lower than where it is now.

In 2003, President Bush, Jr. lowered the top rate to 35%, where it sits currently. In 2002, President Bush lowered the minimum tax rate to 10%, where it sits now.

Why would the Democratic liberals want to take credit for tax rates that they didn't create? Is this just another case of blaming the previous administration for $14 trillion in debt and taking credit for the same administration's economic policies?

  • @Somai82 social security is welfare for wars

  • Wow... they totally cut the rug out from under Ron Paul the moment he starts getting cheers!!!

  • They are all Israel-first traitors, except Ron Paul. The only issue that matters to the rest of them is Israel b/c they're shabbos goy for AIPAC.

  • @Xianman06 that's neocons in general, sad they're considered true conservatives and laugh at Ron Paul as a kook. It's sickening, really, they are perfectly happy to bomb the Muslim world and kill countless numbers of civilians with their right hand and with their left hand, hold a bible and claim a moral authority to tell others how to live their lives. There's a special place in hell for hypocrites.

  • Still "elbowing" (in the ribs) Dr. Paul out of the discussion. This isn't a debate, It's still show & tell run by the media!!!

  • Ron Paul Ron Paul.....Hope the best for him to win

  • Total of 219,221 votes - google firstread msnbc polls 9/7 GOP. 9/11 results.

Ron Paul 58.7%(128,760 votes) Mitt Romney14%(30,685 votes) Rick Perry11.8%(25,956 votes) JohnHuntsman5.9%(12,962 votes) Newt Gingrich3.9%(8,631 votes) Herman Cain2.9%(6,344 votes) Michele Bachmann1.8%(3,910 votes) Rick Santorum0.9%(1,973 votes)

  • @variablestatus - you can add one more to that count for Ron Paul cos I didnt vote on that poll - THEY WILL RIG THE REAL VOTE

  • @variablestatus Was Rick Santorum even there? this was a LOL-apalooza, especially the hooting and clapping of the goofy cloud.

  • @Lorenzo312 I Meant goofy crowd, but their collective conscious makes me believe that I was right.

  • People who we're fucked if they get elected: Bachmann, Perry, Santorum. If any of them get elected, buckle up guys, we're in for a rough four years.

  • @Vyna80 You're assuming that their going to win the presidency. That's not going to happen.

  • @Fringe111 notice the "if" in my comment. I'm voting for Ron Paul and I hope enough others do, but any of these other candidates (except maybe Huntsman, I'm liking him the more I hear of him) would be a catastrophe, might as well re-elect Obama.

  • @Vyna80 I'm voting for Obama again. However of all those people, Huntsman would be the only viable man to actually do the job. He's smart as hell.

  • @Fringe111 Not once did I hear Huntsman talk about what he is going to do to fix this country... Only about what he has done. The 7 kooks talk about how they have done this, or have done that. The only guy who actually talks about solutions is Ron Paul. Whether you agree with him or not, the fact that guy's voting record is IMMACULATE, should be enough to vote for him. He follows the constitution. Nuff said.

  • @Fringe111 Obama's a disaster, but if Paul or Huntsman doesn't win the nomination, Obama may be better than someone like Perry, Romney, or Bachmann. Which is sad :(

  • @Vyna80 Obama is a great president and will go sown in his history as such. The amount of money being thrown at the republican party with the help of the Koch brothers is paying off but they won't win this.

  • @Fringe111 I'll have to disagree, but we're all entitled to our opinion :)

  • Huntsman with a Nirvana reference @ 8:43. lol

  • @alnmiami I know almost nothing about Huntsman, but he seems to be a pretty funny guy :D

  • id like to donkey punch Bauchman

  • Social security has a four trillion dollar surplus. But they used that money to pay for wars and bailouts.

  • Is there any female amongst this tea-bagger audience that isn't borderline obese?

  • I'm sorry but I cant watch this debate, these tea-baggers are fucking clowns.

  • Looks like Romney and Huntsman are the only decent candidates... Ron Paul has a lot of loyal fans, but it won't be enough to get him the nomination :(

  • Gingrich is a sucker, he never answers questions, all he does is talk about about Obama, which i know is a republican thing but atleast answer some question
