Mozart is best composer of all time ... <3 i love Mozart's music more than anything....i cant understand people who say that Mozart's music is "good" ....good is too low word for his masterpieceS!!! if i have 1 wish ,it will be to bring Mozart to life and let him honor us with more masterpieceS !! Mozart, i love you and your music !!!
THE STATUE Don Giovanni a cenar teco m’invitasti e son venuto! DON GIOVANNI Non l’avrei giammai creduto; ma farò quel che potrò. Leporello, un altra cena fa che subito si porti! LEPORELLO Ah padron! Siam tutti morti. DON GIOVANNI Vanne dico! THE STATUE Ferma un po’! Non si pasce di cibo mortale chi si pasce di cibo celeste! Altre cure più gravi di queste altra brama quaggiù mi guidò! LEPORELLO La terzana d’avere mi sembra, e le membra fermar più non so.
It's amazing how dark Mozart's music can be at times. I feel pity for those who only think about the "Little Serenade" or the "Alla Turca" when they hear his name. I think that, of all the composers, Mozart was the one who reached the deepest levels of human dread and melancholy. Just listen to these:
Aria "L'ho perduta": /watch?v=efDmd0h99QY
Kyrie in D minor: /watch?v=dxRnLwugN_s&feature=related
@itsRaymond Oh no, que vulgaridad!, si te parece que es aburrido no lo escuches, pero debes reconocer que te es útil, al menos para dormir. Por eso debes ser más respetuoso.
@Olamtir Well I said 'No offense btw' knowing that people out there actually like these type of music. And I don't listen to hip-hop and rock. So I don't see why you pity, you have really taken it to heart from I'm seeing.
@MultiGreat1 gotta love "reasonable" trolls like you. [hi! i am here to reasonably state that i don't care for this music. i have nothing further to say other than that. i provide no critique or analysis of any sort and i won't give examples of what i consider superior music. i know my "opinion" will result in hostility, which i am expecting. i am such a douchebag that i will think i am on the side of reason for being chastised for no reason! :) ]
mozart was only on this earth for 35 years. what if he were granted another 30? beethoven knew it, tchaikovsy knew it; there s mozart and then everyone else.
My Dad sounds like this when he turns up pissed, every other Saturday....and usually ends up blaming me for burning down the shed or Leeds United losing at Home....and then ends up dragging me down to Hell......What A Royal Pain In the Arse!
@tuthpeck That was how they expressed it in the movie Amadeus. This actually is a scene from the opera Don Giovanni by Mozart & has nothing to do with some Hollywood interpretation. In this scene The Commendatore comes after Don Giovanni & whisks him straight to Hell.
@katanphetamine He's talking about the setting of the opera. This scene in the opera is Mozart's way of bringing his dad back to life because his dad was almost living in him. In the movie "Amadeus".
@tuthpeck Yes, but, in fact, this is not the real history about this opera's composition. But, even so, Amadeus is the greatest biopic I've ever seen.
@Bach1Beethoven I agree it's a tremendous film. For some reason many people just throw out how inaccurate it is since they've heard others say it or have read it on wikipedia or whatever . It is actually accurate in many aspects when you fact check things yourself. the biggest stretch of the truth was the origins of the commendatore scene though. salieri having a hand in mozart's death was a rumor that circulated europe during the 19th century even though many attribute it to the movie.
@devilxhlywood To my knowledge, this rumor came from the fact that Mozart and Salieri were rivals (not enemies) and it was even made more prominent by Pushkin's "Mozart and Salieri", which was adapted as an opera by Rimsky-Korsakov and I think it was the basis for the film. In fact, the lifes of famed people like Mozart were full of legends...
The essense of it is that Don Giovanni killed the commander and tried to rape his daughter. The scene finds the fun loving don enjoying a feast when, all of a sudden, the commander bursts in to dine (cena) with the don. When the Don offers him food, he replies that he only eats heavenly food, that the don must come with him or be damned. Repent! No! Si! No! And then the Don is carried off to hell.
The thought of the majestic giant Willard White being Leporello is funny. All three sound very good, in fact this is one of my favourite recordings of this scene. Stilwell sound very Giovanni-ish, and Tomlinson is chilling. The three share another opera - although they never sung it together, partly because Tomlinson and White had the same role in that... ; )
I agree. Tomlinson is usually too articulate, I don't mean it in a bad way. But in this recording he just really flows it all together. I think it is an amazing performance and every Don Giovanni recording I own doesn't really live up to this one.
Mozart is my favourite composer and I never tire of listening to his music. Mozart, Beethoven, Bach, Handel, Telemann, Vivaldi, Verdi, Tchaikovsky, Wagner, both Strausses and many other composers are forever. Their music is timeless, and the beauty of their music is breathtaking.
great stuff i love this dark operaic classical music im kinda new to learning this kind of music can anyone tell me some other composers that compose music like this dark operaic kind of stuff
