  • Anyone else think its kind of funny how Brits will mock Americans because some hick school boards try to get creationism in public schools, while their national government supports this?

Homeopathy is every bit as stupid as creationism.

  • @DejectedPanda I live in Scotland and I totally mock creationism being taught in public schools. This is the first I've heard of homeopathy being paid for by us, so the first thing I'm doing tomorrow is making an appointment with my MSP. (I also hold homeopathy in the same regard as religious belief).

  • Fucking bullshit hucksters

  • SOME patients will get better. They would get better if you gave them a smile!

  • The NHS is looking to save money.

    Cut out funding of homeopathy.

  • You know to be fair...If I was forced to ingest a tablet consisting of Anti Matter I would hope it's Homeopathic.

Why the fuck would you want to eat Anti Matter anyway.....

  • I hope all Americans see this shit. This has happened in Scotland, and if we aren't careful, this shit could happen top us if we let it.

  • Load of horseshit!

  • i tried it for ME/cfs. didn´t help and that was before I knew what homoepathy was all about,

  • I want to date a Homeopath woman!!! ohhh man.. succussion... succussion... yeeees!

  • Absolutely work for me and my family members. Before making a critic, please try it by yourself first.

  • @kosfju2002 Its called placebo. Read up on the science behind it.

  • @kosfju2002 lol that's the same excuse that religion uses because they can't come up with evidence.

  • Homeopaths = Bullshit artist

  • 4:49 is completely hilarious.

  • THIS IS PURE PROPAGANDA....

    Did you pick it?

    What total bullshit.

The poor, poor public who have to endure this nonsense.

    Embarrassing.

    Have I made my point?

  • @Kingfillins No

  • I am impressed by this reporter's ability to keep a straight face when she's listening to the guy talk about how homeopathic medicine is made.

  • Quackery, quackery, quackery, quackery, quackery, quackery, quackery, quackery, quackery, quackery, quackery, quackery, quackery, quackery, quackery, quackery, quackery, quackery, quackery, quackery, quackery, quackery, quackery, quackery, quackery, quackery, quackery, quackery, quackery, quackery, quackery, quackery, quackery, quackery, quackery, quackery, quackery, quackery, quackery, quackery!!!!!

  • @ExposeHomeopathy Ignorant, ignorant, ignorant, ignorant, ignorant, ignorant, ignorant, ignorant, ignorant, ignorant, ignorant, ignorant, ignorant, Ignorant, ignorant, ignorant, ignorant, ignorant, ignorant, ignorant, ignorant, ignorant, ignorant, ignorant, ignorant, ignorant,Ignorant, ignorant, ignorant, ignorant, ignorant, ignorant, ignorant, Ignorant, Ignorant, ignorant, ignorant, ignorant, ignorant, ignorant, ignorant!!!!

  • water + antimatter = explosion

  • that music is AWESOME!

  • homeopathy = insanity^whishful thinking

  • have these people ever heard of the term "placebo effect"?

what is it with Europeans? Just about everyone in America would laugh at you if you tried to tell them you were going to give them water. America is behind the rest of the world in education, really?

  • @kriztufer2001 Hate to burst your bubble, dude. Check out the drugstore some time, there's tons of homeopathic crap for sale.

  • @Macrochenia as far as i know, nobody I know has ever used homeopathic remedies for their illness. if they know what is wrong with them, they go get aspirin/immodium/ex-lax/benadryl or whatever medicine they need. if they don't know then they go to a real doctor who gives them a prescription for an actual drug.

  • @kriztufer2001 Congratulations on that, but there are still a lot of people who think that taking diluted water or supermassive vitamin C pills will cure them of diseases.

  • @Macrochenia Its not Vitamin C pills its mega doses of Vit C given intravenously and it very much works to cure disease.

    watch?v=KSp4VS2wY70&feature=related

    watch?v=T__IF8JlxLI

  • @Kingfillins Yeah, and which medical journal can I find that report in?

  • @Macrochenia Have you looked?

He is another study. Researchers at the National Institutes of Health found oral vitamin C can achieve blood serum concentrations three times higher than previously thought possible, in the range of what the Cornell researchers reported. [Annals Internal Medicine 140:533–7, 2004]

  • @Kingfillins Funny, but having higher blood levels of vitamin C!= vitamin C having any effect on the immune system. And I just checked the NIH's website- they list it as not having any special ability to fight off infection, it didn't score any better than placebo.

  • @Macrochenia Investigate the topic thoroughly. Mainstream medicine is stone walling this therapy. If you look to the NHS you wont get the truth. Look at the references I posted for a start.

Studies refuting Vit C have not followed the recommended protocol. ie applied lower doses and not frequent enough doses.

  • lol the opening music piece is a piano rendition of Bohemian Rhapsody :)

  • by the logic of homeopaths, the water from the ocean will contain incredible amounts of homeopathic benefits as well as homeopathic poisons.

  • The music in the beginning reminds me of final fantasy.

  • It's funny these "doctors" cite that the patients get better.

Don't you have to learn about the placebo effect if you want to be a doctor?

    What the fuck?

  • Man, this garbage doesn't even hold up when it's put in the best of lights from it's own proponents.

  • this is just sad...

  • I can't watch this. Homoeopathy being endorsed by a government makes me rage. This is almost as bad as if a government endorsed religion(in general).

  • @GeneticsFTW No need to rage. The reason there is NHS homeopathy is that there were hospitals offering homeopathic medicine by doctors BEFORE the creation of the NHS. These hospitals were invited to become part of the NHS then even though homeopathy was just as 'implausible' then as it is now. The people want it and it's safe and effective.

  • Ben Goldacre ftw

  • It's funny, I had swimmers ear a few weeks back and my mom brought me some drops, I took them and felt better afterward.. the next time I went to put them in I noticed that they were homeopathic and immediately stopped

I guess the placebo effect is pretty damn strong because before I saw the label I was sure they were helping

actually, I put them in a second time and didn't feel much better at all now that I recall it

  • @glemmstengal though recent research showed that the placebo effect can work even when people know that they are taking a placebo. It is just as likely that your body's own defences took care of the infection as the placebo, acknowledged or not.

  • Although I agree that Homeopathy is malarkey, It's hard to take Samantha Poling serious while she has the christian cross dangling around her neck.

  • @MRaverz

It's not Bohemian Rhapsody by Queen. At the end of this clip it's Creep by Radiohead, possibly performed by the Belgian choir group Scala & Kolacny Brothers. You can hear it in the trailer for the film 'Social Network'.

  • a homeopathic pharmacy, whatever next

    clean your nails man

  • If I were scottish I would feel sick that my tax money was going to pay for homeopathy treatment for stupid people.

  • @mcmoogol

Homeopathy organizations are still active, even in Norway. Thankfully for you and other Norwegians you have the Kvakksalverloven (The law of quackery).

  • @mcmoogol We do! But not just Scotland - there's a homeopathic hospital in London, and NHS support for homeopathy throughout the UK (and other countries remember). Her assertion that the Scottish NHS has "thrown it's support" behind homeopathy is "interesting". The support is a historic throwback, not something new.

  • IT'S IN THE BRAIN, DUMMY!

  • Also, amazing soundtrack

  • Looks like the scotts cant get away from their celtic/wiccan heritage... LOLOLOLOL

  • If Samantha Poling thinks its odd she should investigate the psychiatry industry.

  • the music is fantastic in this

  • @adamvallieres01 I know, can we get it on itunes?

    ^_^

  • Thank you!

  • That fact that people are so easily persuaded kinda scares me.

  • is Bohemian Rhapsody playing in the background?

  • @Bobalithmiss1

If you're referring to the music near the end, no. It's Creep by Radiohead.

  • @takotheoktopus I was talking about the music in the beginning actually

  • @Bobalithmiss1

Disregard what I said. Listened to the beginning again. Yes your right, Bohemian Rhapsody FTW!

  • @takotheoktopus

hmmm, unless we're not talking about the same music, i'm pretty sure it is "The Great Gig in the Sky" by Pink Floyd from the "Dark Side of the Moon" album. A master piece if you ask me...

  • @mestrini

I stand corrected... You were mentioning the xylophone background. Definitely Bohemian Rhapsody.

  • @mestrini

I find it interesting and amusing that many of the comments here are focusing on the excellent music selection for this video instead of the actual topic of homeopathy.

  • @takotheoktopus

Yep, and in my defense i must say that i commented before watching the whole thing. Usually i stay on video topic. hehe

  • Scots falling for yet another bullshit miracle remedy. Nothing new here.

  • @mouse743 ????? any evidence that Scots are more suscepible to BS than any other nationality? Or is this just a bit of BS of your own?

  • Homeopathy is the biggest pile of bullshit ever when it comes to medicine.

  • @maggru91

It works for me and my family members as well. What a gift that Hahnemman gave to mankind

  • @kosfju2002 - no it doesn't.
