  • go to my channel for another version of this

  • Sound is dead? WTF is this bs?

  • esto da asco loco!!!

  • eu queria tocar a metade que esse cara toca...

  • He is using his pants to tie off the neck obviously.

  • flawless

  • Bravo!!!

  • I think you misundersttod my comment. he has to dampen strings, otherwise it would sound awful. I would like to see anyone play this without some sort of string dampening.

  • @rockenphish that famous brazilian fat dood did it.

  • very well played, and excellent tone. that was really good!

  • ::::: CTM xD well you play the guitar sound excellent men ..... ....... and your guitar is very nice = you should teach the poor newbies like us) a greeting from chile

  • perfect...

    XD

  • any tablatures to this?

  • I agree he did a wonderful job at this video, but I hate how.. (and I know this happens from experience) people tend to say others sound crappy or stigmatize them for missing notes; yet when its done by tapping people instantly worship it because of the natural tone you get while tapping.. p.s its not that hard to make tapping sound extremely nice and wholesome. to get the same tone with a pick takes MUCHHH more effort. Just a small note I couldn't keep from myself.

    -Peace

  • @Distortedbackdrop I heard a joke once.. How many guitarists does it take to screw in a light-bulb? 2... one to screw it in and the other to say how much better they could have done it. Guitarists are awfully critical of each other... aren't they?

  • @doublej706 thats a fucking good one. so true

  • nice guitar bandana! xDD!!

    mute the sound

    nice legato and tapping!

  • MAn that really was awsome!!! why dont you upload complete???

  • just amazing!

  • nice capo xD

  • that is so much to memorize... great job

  • That's just awesome.

  • Awesome! I am looking forward to seeing the rest of it.

  • Masterful

  • Great!!5*s

  • Holy SH!T

  • Paganini sarebbe orgoglioso di te

Paganini will be proud of you

  • Why is that cloth arapped over the strings?

  • because if it wasn't there all the notes would combine and it wouldn't sound like anything.

  • for string noises from the open strings

  • it tapers the sound of the instrument.

  • I guess he didn't have a capo

  • lol that's what i thought

  • it dampens the strings, so they dont ring out whilst he's tapping, or it would be a mess

  • String damper - prevents unwanted noise

  • amazing job!

  • wow...su técnica por favor enséñemela.

  • wonderfull

  • I've got tapping worked out similar to your version on my 6 string bass. Need to find a guitarist to duet live... that would kill... great job though, nice and smooth! Cheers

  • baroque music on electric guitar is godly

the only thing better is when it's tastefully incorporated into metal ; )

    (such as racer x's "scarified"...ahhh)

  • Paganini wasn't during the Baroque period

  • Touche lol

I had no idea it was by Paganini...I just looked it up and it sounds completely different on violin (obviously). It sounds so baroque on guitar!

  • holy balls

  • now do it without that thing on the arm ^^

  • what teh heck? i should stop playing guitar ._. . man that was sick..fucking sick ..fuck man O_o ..

  • did you arrange this yourself?

  • This is a real fucking guitar player! FUCK !

  • you are a goddamn beast... that is fucking insane. you are like, as nutty as Chris Broderick and Kiko Loureiro :O

  • crossroads ;D

  • you are so wrong it's just hilarious :D

  • Comment removed

  • oh i thought you were suggesting this composition was entirely from the movie. sorry :) I just didn't want you to be under false pretenses of who actually wrote the song.

  • crossroads...as in steven vai? lol

    am i still wrong??

    :07-:11

  • as in this is the 5th caprice. i know steve plays a bit of it in the movie, but i thought you were referring to this piece as thought it were the crossroads climax

  • ohhh okay haha

    same page now :)

  • lol

that thing hanging on his fretboard are his trousers xD

that's why he doesn't wear some xD it's his only pair lol

  • that's the only way you can play like this, with your pants off. its impossible with pants on. i've tried it.

  • can somebody help me out? i cant get a good enough ring when i tap, i am a pretty good player, but i dont know how these guys get such a good clear sound, do i use light guage strings?

  • haha see that thing around the beginning of the fretboard. thats why.

  • get a guitar with lower action would help with tapping also

  • Amazing!

  • fucking AWESOM but ... with some pants would be better xD i know how fun it is to play free balls ... but not on youtube xD

  • hahaha, that comment made my day.

looks like he's wearing shorts tho.

  • @superchuck333 he has pants, they are just tied to his guitar

  • @superchuck333 CHUCK NORRIS

  • how about the begining? hardly anyone plays the begining

  • HOLY SHIT, nice, and also love your capo XD

  • this guy rocks

  • Wow! That was insane! Please post more legato and tapping!

  • Holy Crap. That was impressive. You make it even look easy.

Could you send me the tabs? I guess I could play it kind of decently after some weeks of practice

  • 5 stars. well done !

  • very nice

  • nice

  • wow, very impressive! i had the same idea 3 years ago. but i was to lazy ^^

    5/5

  • This is the most original version I've seen on the axe Great work!!!!!

  • I would love to see you play the beginning of Overthrown by Arsis.

    Please do it.

  • yes me too.

  • Most professional guitar players tie off the neck, genius! Some also use a string damper.

  • no shit sherlock.

  • i do it for recording even if i'm not tapping sometimes.

  • @rockenphish Some, meaning not all and more than one. Obviously, this man isn't the "some" you speak of. Seeing as he has underwear tied to his guitar's neck, he must not have an official string damper. However, his underwear does dampen the strings regardless, making "some" viewers laugh. Some, meaning not all (you) and more than one (including me).

  • how does it feel to do that, man?

  • te amo idolo

  • Tied the shirt around the neck to hush up the strings, good idea. Perfect, nothing else to say.

  • tas perro =====VH======

  • duuuuuuuuuuuuuude great job!

is that a carvin 135-c with the floyd?

  • Good stuff, bro.

  • dank nuggets. very impressive

  • HAHAHAHAH THE DAMPENER... c'mon get real!!!

  • Nice ! And why are you muting the string with a t-shirt?

  • Es obvio que la comprension de una pieza como esta va mas alla de tu limitada capacidad cerebral.

Ruegale a tu dios que nadie vea tus videos. Seria una vergüenza...

    ============================================

Awesome performance, man! Rock on \m/

  • impressive, do it again using the pick :) I'd like to see it! 5 stars! :)

  • Good... lord...

...you are my new favourite guitarist.

  • I'd love to hear it without delay, your tapping is good, you don't need to hide ehind delay! nice work! :)

  • That's some nice playing, but the underpants hanging from the guitar kinda takes away some of the elegance.

  • sweet but becker picks it :P

  • Who gives a damn? This is MUSIC, not a contest, fool. This version is cleaner and liquid and just plain BETTER.

  • Ehm... what do you mean?

  • nice underpants guitar!

  • Awsome!!!!

  • wena!!

  • BRAVISSIMO!!!

  • are you using a rag/scarf as a capo? thats fucking wicked~!

  • Hes using to to mute the stings so there isn't as much noise.

  • Ι don't think that the scarf is used as a capo. in that type of playing, a scarf or a rag, is used in order to "muffle" the strings and stop them from sounding, when the are "open".

i'm not very sure that what i've just written, will make sense to you, but it's the best i could manage !

  • its because when you tap you "split" the string in two "individual" vibrating strings(on each side of your finger). the scarf is there to ensure that the pickup picks only the wanted half. and open strings at the same time!

  • Good, but where is the intro?

I mean the A minor arpeggios and scales.

  • I thought steve vai wrote it

ROFL so its nic paganini rofl

    How stupid am I xD

  • god like PLAYING

  • geniaaaaal this is kooool great job

  • cool, sounds great

  • yo ur amazing man!!u got a tab for this lol i wanna try too

  • This is outstanding.

  • Could someone explain to me the purpose of the rag wrapped around the headstock?

  • lol its to mute his strings so they dont make noise, since both hands are on the fretboard you cant really mute them otherwise

  • Excellent !

  • freak

  • Grandioso el tapping que tienes es excelente y muy limpio!!

  • awesome!

  • *claps*

    just amazing

  • ....no denying that is good skills!!!

  • sounds like a midi, soo boring

  • suck it, this is awesome!

  • thats no music man thats just a show

  • Jealous??? LOL this version is great, I wish I could do that with my right hand bro

  • paganini didnt write music then?!

  • its the 5th caprice by niccolo paganini, steve vai ripped off a little bit of it in the film crossroads.

  • please go to school you dumbfu(k !

  • 5 stars. just amazing, you're insane man.

  • love ur capo man.great work

  • awesome is not enough 2 describe it...

    Really great job.....

  • this guy teaches me guitar - his band is CHaosgenesis

  • Fucking awesome! =)

Maybe you can advise me some lessons and exercises for 2-hand tapping?

  • Great job man. Congratulations. Be proud of yourself.

  • WTF WAS THAT SHIT

    thats not human

  • this is cool but you need a butler and perhaps you should check out my version of the caprice. I used a pick and have a sense of humor.

  • your dirty drawers are nasty and smelly

  • DAMN

  • very nice but whats with the cloth?

  • it's there, to prevent the strings from swinging without touching any fret ( sry for my bad english, i hope you understand)

  • Amazing skill.

  • awesome! 5 stars

  • spot on mate!this is the first i ever heard

    a version like this

    cheers!

  • Nice spanish

  • i don`t need to be a great guitar player to see mistakes in a perform

  • Thanks I have just quit playing guitar because of you asshole hahaha!

  • ok....wow this is truly amazing

did u learn guitar on both right and left hand like the guy from megadeth and then do this

  • WoooooW

  • good work brother, sounds sick

  • good solution man!

    sounds great.

  • Oh, and P.S., to the dipshit that implied this guy could never play this with real technique, eat a steamy log of dog poo, he had to know the real peice in order to transcribe it to D minor and THEN work out a way to tap (I'd say 95%) of the notes correctly. P.P.S., the tapped chromatic scales are sicker than AIDS patients :)

  • holy F***in s**t!!! I DO play guitar, i know this peice, and I dont care about the mistakes or the fact he's playing in Dm and not Am because this is top shelf work! Way to rock dude, I humbly salute you! this must've taken forever to figure out!

  • Flippin' cool!!!

  • well done

  • this is unbashable! even if he made one mistake, hes still tapping paganini!! which has to be figured out by yourself cause its not tabbed anywhere in this form. you rock!!!

  • There are too many mistakes

  • Are you really that sure? Does it even really matter? This piece sounds great! Even if he supposedly messed up.

  • Do you really play guitar or any other instrument? I do. Mistakes ruin a good piece, pero de alguna manera tienes razón en algo, los errores que pueda cometer no quitan su mérito, con práctica la podría perfeccionar.

  • that was becker mad.

  • this is really impressive, even if you've muffled the strings with a pair of pants :D.

  • haha, his face expression is like he's having a tea

  • very nice!!well done!

please look at my videos!I hope you like them!

  • damn dude... you got it cleaner than jason becker!!!

  • major props to the guitar work your doing here , keep at it

  • greattt!

  • Fuck this I'm quiting guitar

  • haha i know what you mean! damn! good shit chris.

  • amazing

  • holy shit!

    really impressive!

  • VERY NICE MAN

  • I like the fluidity of your playing, and that sound is gorgeous! People should think about how hard is to make out the fingering for this piece, and shut up a bit and enjoy :) And you people, you can't compare guitar to violin, violin is in many ways better, even though I am a guitar player. You can play this piece twice faster on violin, but you have to be a twice better musician. BTW very nice guitar.

  • BEST Caprice #5 played on electric guitar on YouTube!! Sounds awasome!!

  • I guess he could put the pick down if he was using one to begin with. He's not using on. Nails? You're sug
