This was a wonderful series which I caught when it originally ran on television (and will be looking forward to adding to my collection). Excellently written, acted and photographed, and provides a private and literate look into a major political family in Britain. If possible, try to see another mini-series, THE FIRST CHURCHILLS, before watching this one.

Finally, a US release date has been set - June 29th! I've heard so much about this series and cannot wait to see it for myself.

They were short of a baby to play the part of Winston Churchill.I was the Head Chef at the time and Claire our daughter had just been born,she played the part of Chuchill being christened in the Chaple at Blenheim.We had to have an urgent Christening in Woodstock as she would have now been called Winston Lenard Spencer Churchill had she been christened on film. Happy Days
