Bullshit? Ignorance does you no favors. The simple fact is that millions of incredibly talented artists from all walks of life go unsigned every day, simply do to two factors. One, they go unnoticed. In a sea of Youtube videos, open mic nights, and faceless demo tapes, it's easy for one person, or thousands, to slip by unnoticed. Two, demand. If there is already a surplus on a certain sound from the major labels, they wont be signing anyone else with said sound.
