  • I loved this game

  • Why does he keep shouting 'Tits up!'?

  • this is such a ripoff of both street fighter and king of fighters the guy that looks like ryu and the other guy looks like joe from king of fighthers

  • @rasklbc Now adays what doesnt look Like SF

  • Love this game, played it on an arcade machine so many years ago.

  • *kicks enemy* P*SS OFF

  • mizoguchi shouts "piss off" a lot :/

  • Wow... after actually seeing this game, I can't believe capcom lost the lawsuit against them.

  • @DaBhaalspawn

It's because Street Fighter copied it's characters from folkore and also from the 1977 movie Master of The Flying Guillotine. Dhalsim was similar to the Indian assassin.

  • @HyperSonicXtreme

    Idiots all of you

  • That was easier than street fighter 2. I just beat all enemies with Jean (Guile copy) How I managed to do that??? It takes only about 15 minutes, I was REALLY bored...

  • Actually Ryoko is too broken to be beaten byy a street fighter character. Cept for guile and his jabs.

  • The Street Fighters would wipe the floor with these characters if they ever fought.....lol

  • cool. too much like street fighter tho. lol

  • The original Fighter's History is not a 'direct copy' (as Capcom U.S.A. argued), but a tribute - a congratulatory rethink of a game style that has been omnipresent since the heyday of Yie Ar Kung Fu.

  • @1983parrothead: That is a good reason why Capcom should have been nice to Data East rather than being angry. Being angry is a form of overconfidence which overconfidence can result from stress.

  • @ThePatrickinator I agree. It was really low of Capcom to try to claim the entire genre as their own - and try to sponge poor old Data East for a few notes in the process. One reason why Data East won in court was their largest objection, which was about their 1984 arcade game Karate Champ being the true originator of the genre, released three years before SF1. Even though it was developed by Technos Japan, that company was founded by former Data East staff.

  • Can you explain how you do the mega flying kick combo for mizoguchi? when ever i do it, it only does 2 kicks.

  • just keep pressing the button u have to be fast i got it once but all other times i get 3

  • this was the only arcade game i had access to back in the day, getting crazy nostalgia right now. mostly memories of how much i hate ray.

  • rip off aside, the game was pretty fun. i owned it on neo-geo cd. played it a lot.

  • CHEESE!!!

  • Not so much a bad game as it was [boldly] derivative if you ask me...the handling and controls were okay, just like SF2, so why complain about that?

I think this game is what you would call a 'cult classic', certain things considered...

  • wasnt that game before street fighter2?

  • no

    .

  • hahaha what a rip off!!

  • "I knew my powers would destory you!" Wow! Typo.

  • mizoguchi sounds a lot like Elaina from SF3

  • Ii have this actual game not no fake rom

    I have the game Lolz

    mad memoriez

  • I see a ripoff from Street Fighter II (character images from select screen) and Fatal Fury 2 (some character stance and background stage)

  • good game. I like the two versions of SNES

  • i used to play this game alot

  • Hey your really good! ^^ Nice job

  • I've been trying hard to get a new sealed copy of this game to add to my collection of fighters for the Super Nintendo but to no avail.

I like the video too, cool!

  • This is a cool game, despite the fact that it's pretty much a clear Street Fighter ripoff, and if I remember correctly, this was almost not even published because of that.

  • Yeah, that is strue that this game is a Street fighter 2 ripoff. Capcom sued Data east to rip some things from Street fighter 2. & in 2003, Data east went bankruptcy.

  • They sued, but didn't win.

  • Only the American divisions.

  • @Retrogamer41 actually, if you want to get serious about this, many games show up as rip offs of sf2, considering sf2 was one of the first of it's kind. Capcom sued Data Easy yes, however they lost the case because their claim was too stretched.

  • @Retrogamer41 Data East actually won that lawsuit. :|

  • @krimbe I wouldn't go that far. Not to mention calling a fighter a "Street Fighter clone" is just plain silly and wrong, let's just call every FPS a Doom or Counterstrike clone while we're at it, why not call every RTS a Command & Conquer clone too.

Data East won in quote with their largest objection saying that their 1984 Karate Champ arcade was the true originator of the competitive fighting game genre, which predated the first Street Fighter (1987) by three years.

  • @krimbe but capcom won in the end because they stole fighters from this game and put them in street fighter alpha win win situation for capcom haha

  • Nice run, dude! I loved this conversion, except for the fact that Mizoguchi was the only char you got to play with in arcade mode. I did love, however, that the AI was the same tough bastard from its original counterpart. ^_^

    Five stars and favorited. ;)
