  • Just wondering but when pilots apply reverse thrust, why do they still hold on to the lever, and not just leave it there?

  • lol he entered 210 into the speed hold!..... i make that mistake all the time in fs

  • he also told the pilot to turn to hdg210. It showed the pilot reading back the instruction and turning the autospeed knob to 210. silly peeps Just say what u wrote Fly lol.

  • What does it mean when the tower says "winds gusting 140 at 50?"

  • @flightsimvids2 The tower actually advises that winds are 290 at 12 gusting 18. That means that the winds are blowing from the northwest from a compass heading of 290 degrees at a speed of 12 knots gusting to 18 knots.

  • @TheAviatorsTV Thanks a lot!

  • He TACd him, forgot position. That'd lose you your ratings in my facility

  • lol I understood everything at the beginning!

  • @tomtimex no way!

  • is it not standard to activate the wing tip strobes when flying over cities?

  • Yeah seen Jeff on Just Planes Air Canada Captain the Embraer 190

  • these are awesome videos

  • What a failure of a video. He did so much shit out of procedure.

  • Yo AMERICANS so Called aviators!! check your captain!! I think he needs some reading exercises!

  • @pilot182br: How so???

  • Hey AviatorsTV, This was really a great explanation and demonstration of a commercial arrival. Very nicely done, Thank You!

  • Yup, one in the same!

  • Anybody else notice that after the first call to turn to heading 210 he turns the IAS hold to 210 instead of the heading select? Happens at 6:25 in the video.

  • @FlyForB6

Not only that, but he turns on his landing lights when on final, when he actually should have turned them on below 10,000'... Huh?

  • @shonor6 Maybe, I'm not quite sure. I have heard about turning the lights on below 10,000 ft but while I was spotting yesterday I could see the arrivals below 10,000 ft but they didn't turn on the lights until they were basically on final.

  • @FlyForB6

Maybe it depends on the country, or perhaps specific conditions (weather etc').

  • @shonor6 Perhaps. I was out at TPA yesterday and everyone was on the visual for 1L. I do know that they turn the landing lights on pretty high up at night (for obvious reasons).

  • @FlyForB6 nice eye :-)

  • @FlyForB6 You can also notice the numbers don't change.

  • @FlyForB6 I noticed it, but everyone makes mistakes right?

  • @flightsimvids2 yep. It's just an observation.

  • on one of the upcoming videos could you please explain all taxiway signs because i have a problem with understanding two way taxiways and i would greatly appreciate a tutorial.

for example if i were taxing of runway 25 and onto charlie, charlie connects to delta and delta goes in tow directions which direction should i proceed left or right presuming the terminal(s) stretch(es) all the way of delta. thankyou

  • @Qpilot625: Great idea! Bear in mind though that these aren't intended as "instructional" but rather informational.

  • @TheAviatorsTV thankyou for understanding
