Molly Holly is the standard of what women wrestlers should be all about. She never done any of the bikini photo stuff and got made fun of,showing she wasn't one of these T&A women. Also, she was better than half the male roster. Instead of turning models into wrestlers, do the opposite of that and make them attractive.
I don't remember the last time I saw such a physical match from the divas. Taking bumps, getting down and really putting on a decent match. I sure would like to see more of those nowadays.

that says quite a lot about how much Molly was winning around then. fortunately she back onto a winning streak as champion, and Molly/Gail were a pretty good team for a while there.
unfortunately that ended and we had to suffer through watching people like Christy Hemme score upset wins over Molly and others...
To tell the truth, Molly rarely ever did any high-flying moves except for the Molly-Go-Round, and even then, she didn't seem to use it that often after she became a heel. Given her gymnastics background, I think Molly could have been much more acrobatic in the ring.
@DomStar8 well... Gail's become a really good women's wrestler, but at the time I think this was a good move. Gail showed up out of nowhere, won the title, had no hype and no crowd reaction... it just wasn't working.
Putting the title on Molly was good because 1) an unexpected title change is always fun for TV and 2) it's Molly. She was a great champion & with her the focus was on the wrestling, as it should be.

i dot think gail kim was suppose to win the womens championship when she debuted. i think jazz was suppose and continue her feud sh had with ivory. remember when ivory kept beating jazz week after week? they were suppose to continue it. jazz got injured in that 7 diva battle royal when victoria superkicked her and dislocted jazz's shoulder. so thats when jazz had to be taken from the match and they decided just to give the title to gail kim. gail kim really wasnt suppose to win it.
When it comes to those multiple people battles, I don't even care about them, because all they got to do is knock the person out, don't have to wrestle them, just knock them out of the ring. If you must know, Jazz already had some tissue problems in the shoulder, that super-kick was actually a set up so that Jazz would leave the match, because that's how they actually exited her character, but the later brought her back for a special match, and that was it for her.
This 2 girls have my respect because they are not jokes. Molly Holly's wrestling style is based in all, she is capable to do brawler, grappler & high-flying moves! So she have studied all! Gail Kim is the best high-flyer I ever see!
Lita have a rare style... she have her own style to execute that type of moves but yes Lita was more notable as high flyer than any other female wrestler but Lita was not totally a high flyer.

That is false. Lita prefected many technical moves throughout her career... The most notable would be her russian leg sweep to a cover pin. Lita played every roll at some point, which is why noone can give her a specific category. She did high flyer obviously, brawler as well. She also did power housing with 2 different types of power bombs for her signature moves and technical too. She was equal on all parts unlike some who train only one or two.

This match wasn't really part of a feud, it was just another women's title match but with an unexpected result of a new champion. So it's not like they were enemies.
As alberalvr said, Gail turned on Trish and teamed with Molly, basically because Molly was the only heel diva to do anything with then.
And with barely any divas on the roster, and every new one debuting as a face, they need a heel diva to start out against... but it can't be Trish or Lita. so who is left? just Molly.
I was curious because Gail debuted as a face only a month earler. Then she suddenly loses the title AND turns heel and befriends the woman who took it from her. It just didn't seem right to me.
You're probably right about Molly being the only heel they had. Jazz just got hurt and Victoria was usually relegated to Heat.
As for Molly, the creative team dropped the ball with her. They seemed more interested in making her a laughingstock than in getting her over. She deserved better.

I don't remember the last time I saw such a physical match from the divas. Taking bumps, getting down and really putting on a decent match. I sure would like to see more of those nowadays.

She won the title on her FIRST night, she was pushed without any crowd reaction and Molly was the one who actually got her in the business and had heat from rivaling with Trish besides she was getting backstage heat for winning the title and everyone involved in creative thought Molly should be champ instead. Probably one of the most fair title drops ever.

btw is it a bad sign when your finisher is a top rope move, and the announcers are surprised when you go to the top rope and say "it's not your forte"?
that says quite a lot about how much Molly was winning around then. fortunately she back onto a winning streak as champion, and Molly/Gail were a pretty good team for a while there.
unfortunately that ended and we had to suffer through watching people like Christy Hemme score upset wins over Molly and others...

To tell the truth, Molly rarely ever did any high-flying moves except for the Molly-Go-Round, and even then, she didn't seem to use it that often after she became a heel. Given her gymnastics background, I think Molly could have been much more acrobatic in the ring.

@DomStar8 well... Gail's become a really good women's wrestler, but at the time I think this was a good move. Gail showed up out of nowhere, won the title, had no hype and no crowd reaction... it just wasn't working.
Putting the title on Molly was good because 1) an unexpected title change is always fun for TV and 2) it's Molly. She was a great champion & with her the focus was on the wrestling, as it should be.
BTW I wonder if the King knew Molly would win, b/c he sounded really surprised.

i dot think gail kim was suppose to win the womens championship when she debuted. i think jazz was suppose and continue her feud sh had with ivory. remember when ivory kept beating jazz week after week? they were suppose to continue it. jazz got injured in that 7 diva battle royal when victoria superkicked her and dislocted jazz's shoulder. so thats when jazz had to be taken from the match and they decided just to give the title to gail kim. gail kim really wasnt suppose to win it.

When it comes to those multiple people battles, I don't even care about them, because all they got to do is knock the person out, don't have to wrestle them, just knock them out of the ring. If you must know, Jazz already had some tissue problems in the shoulder, that super-kick was actually a set up so that Jazz would leave the match, because that's how they actually exited her character, but the later brought her back for a special match, and that was it for her.

Lita have a rare style... she have her own style to execute that type of moves but yes Lita was more notable as high flyer than any other female wrestler but Lita was not totally a high flyer.

That is false. Lita prefected many technical moves throughout her career... The most notable would be her russian leg sweep to a cover pin. Lita played every roll at some point, which is why noone can give her a specific category. She did high flyer obviously, brawler as well. She also did power housing with 2 different types of power bombs for her signature moves and technical too. She was equal on all parts unlike some who train only one or two.

Nope. Lita was sloppy with her mat moves. She was great with her high-flying dives, I give her that. Just because she pulls off a Litabomb every now and then doesn't make her "powerhouse" in style immediately. That's why it's called a "style" to begin with - it should define how a wrestler wrestles OVERALL. Victoria and Jazz are powerhouses, Lita is a high-flyer, Molly was a great technician.

You didn't understand the way that I was thinking. I never said Lita was a specialist in every area of wrestling. She was not sloppy either, saying sloppy would take both Lita and her competitor to complete a move sloppy. I said Lita was well rounded with her move set throughout her career. The beginning is most notable with high flying. After she broke her neck she did leave that style and became a brawler and technical wrestler.I think she proves to be quite the wrestler.

I know she moved to Mexico but in the ring I don't see the "luichador style". She can be trained by Michael Jackson if she want but I talk about what we see in the ring and she was not the first women to do a moonsault on WWF. I remember that Bull Nakano do that move in some matches. You are wrong with Jillian, alot of people think she is great because of the time she have wrestling but she only impress me on SD. She have time doing big botches on RAW.

Sarita is a better high-flyer than Lita but as a character Saria sucks as hell! Even when she is pretty she can't build a good character! Lita & Trish did more than wrestling. Thanks to their charisma we are able today to see they good storylines and their classic matches! Sometimes the better wrestler don't make the better matches and the better show. Sarita can wrestle but in TV she don't have the classics that Lita or Trish have even when she is a better wrestler!

This match wasn't really part of a feud, it was just another women's title match but with an unexpected result of a new champion. So it's not like they were enemies.
As alberalvr said, Gail turned on Trish and teamed with Molly, basically because Molly was the only heel diva to do anything with then.
And with barely any divas on the roster, and every new one debuting as a face, they need a heel diva to start out against... but it can't be Trish or Lita. so who is left? just Molly.

I was curious because Gail debuted as a face only a month earler. Then she suddenly loses the title AND turns heel and befriends the woman who took it from her. It just didn't seem right to me.
You're probably right about Molly being the only heel they had. Jazz just got hurt and Victoria was usually relegated to Heat.
As for Molly, the creative team dropped the ball with her. They seemed more interested in making her a laughingstock than in getting her over. She deserved better.
