whats the point of watching top 10 dreamcast fighting games lists if SF3 third strike is always going to be number 1, dont get me wrong i LOVE me some SF3, but i think MVC2 is just a little bit better
I've already seen 5 countdowns and third strike always takes it! And i do agree! i wish that street fighter 4 would be more like third strike! It is one of my favorite games of all time! Go third strike!
really? no project justice? and mvc2 is low on the list? well i guess if you didnt like mvc2 as much you wont like project justice cuz its almost like a 3d version of it combo wise lol....i never got into 3rd strike it was too weird for me, i played alpha 3 as a kid all the time tho
great videos, awesome, i have a dreamcast, i can see now i didnt see the potential it had, i was to busy playing ps2, i might just hook it back up and play agian, i need to get alot of these games. oh and in your first video u mention that KOF 12 didnt have mai and that sucked, but u may know or not but in KOF 13 they brought Mai back, i played it and it is fun.
i read some of the comments no powerstone or rival schools 2 etc. truthfully i couldnt have picked better myself. the dreamcast had some of the best games ever made not just fighting games and i agree with your no 1. at least 4 of those games listed i would not want to ever be without. powerstone was fun but it didnt have the same drive to improve as others mentioned and was overshadowed by better games. doa was fair but no more until ultimate on xbox anyway. u even put bb hood up. good list
yo help me out there is a fighting game not sure for ps2 or dreamcast but one character is an old man with claws and he does a move where he rolls on a purple ball i cant remember shit else
@zaeran1 A game that involves brains, ie. combos, parrys, timing etc. whereas the melee type fighting games such as mario supersmash, powerstone are no brainers!
@shahjahaAn Well there is way more strategy in PS2 than SSB, the dodging of attacks is a very skilled maneuver in Powerstone 2, and the avoidance of Powerdrives is crucial also. There is a heck of a lot of skill involved in being good at powerstone 2. It's a strategy game in that sense. Maybe not as much as Streetfighter, but it is enough to be in the same range.
@zaeran1 mmhmmmm, so you are implying that someone with little gaming experience ie. a child cannot play this game successfully as its not the simple case of button mashing to perform attacks. I agree with what you say - but that just makes it a Puzzle game and not a strategic fighting game like SF and DOA, Tekken etc.
@shahjahaAn that isn't exactly what I said, I just said there is more strategy than you inferred. And how does that become categorized as a puzzle? There is NO puzzle solving whatsoever in the game... so that has me sort of confused. I belive it remains a fighting game with less COMPLEX strategy.
@zaeran1 I will no more debate about this. Okay this game is good, but how many people follow it compared to the SF series? re-releasing on a psp was a failure. Only the oldskool gamers with dreamcast know the value of this. I will leave you with Peace!
please help me out if you can. I am looking for the name of a game where is a girl that fights with her dog and i belive that hers dogs names was fiddo or something like that. and there was also other girl like mai shiranui but she had the power to called uo to a dragon that she could moved every where she would go.
Personally it doesn't get any better than CvS2 but i want to play all these games on this list. Heck i Need to play them. Great list and i enjoyed very much seeing all these games. Thanks for making it.
umm where the fu@# is power stone? =D and who remembers that game for dreamcast where it was 3 vs 3 fighting game and it was 3d, i do remember a baseball player in there and you could of done team specials. it was awesome.
@TheronInc well,im fun of more realistic fighting 3d games,so i would put Dead or Alive 2 on 1st place, but anyway,i like your videos cuzz they showed me games that i didn't even now about...can u make me a list of all 3d fighting games for dreamcast ?
@nathank255 Maybe you're right, but since Street Fighter 3 is pretty underrated in comparison to its predecessor anyway, I don't think it's a big deal.
@bbycrook1 PS2,deffinitly,not only have almost every figthing game that cameout on the dreamcast, but you have a lot,lot more figthing games, and games in general....
Plus the ps2 controller is better, and you can buy a brand new ps2,instead of buying a use dreamcast....

No way this is a reliable top 10. Third strike is not the best fighter for the DC. Many characters are unbalanced, some such as Q you won't be playing more than once, or maybe a few times only for lolz, and the parry system is too hard for newcomers to get to grips with.
Secondly, DOA:2 isn't on the list at all!? It's a simple game to pick up, very fun to master, excellent graphics, fluid gameplay, perfect soundtrack, and tonnes of modes.
@Terramax I never claimed this list to be "reliable". This is my top ten, end of story. If you disagree, that's okay, but you should rather make your own top ten video instead of complaining.
really great list... all anybody really needs to be happy, whether they know it or not, is a dreamcast with street fighter III, soul caliber, and marvel vs. capcom 2.
Well, for Dreamcast you should definitely get Street Fighter III: 3rd Strike. SF III: Double Impact (or W Impact) contains the first and second version of SF III, while 3rd Strike is the final one with the most characters. Or you could get Street Fighter Anniversary Collection for PS2 or Xbox, which also contains 3rd Strike with all features of the DC version.
Nice list, The backgrounds in CVS games are fantastic, I didn't like the first one as much as CVS2, its such a great game. I like SFA3 better than SF3, but its your video not mine. Its hard to believe that Guilty Gear came out on DC years ago, it looks like it can compete with SF2 HD remix, it looks that good!
Thanks. Yeah, the backgrounds are really pure eye candy. I especially like the ones with the huge ship coming from the background and the one with the race cars in the desert.
Guilty Gear's graphics are really impressive!
I'd like to see a Guilty Gear vs. Blazblue someday.^^
does anyone remember a game where like you fight with kids that have skate boards. it was 2 d and also was arcade game and no it's not project justice
the only one i thuaght of was streets of rage or what ever but that was the black kid with skates not a skate board... i have no clue.. maybe someone else can help. Good line up btw @ op. i didnt see pt1 i started on this i think ur line up is pretty good. =]

What a great top 10! You obviously know your fighting games. :)
My favorites are Soul Calibur, Capcom Vs. SNK 2 (Accurate Mix), Guilty Gear X, Fatal Fury: Mark of the Wolves, and Project Justice.
Having played all the Dreamcast KOF games, I'd say 2002 is the best.
