Should I feel lucky or unfortunate about not riding in that Lexus IS? I think it was a 250, but the owner graduated in May 2010... dang my poor memory!

I guess I was asking for it because in my own error, I meant to put down SI after the civic. I have an IS 250 and all I can say is that a car that goes around corners like this 1 does MUST be a performance car. Sorry but 0-60 means nothing these days its all about how fast you get around a track and oddly enough tracks have corners. I think that when a small girly looking car rips by your big stupid F-150 you should start questioning your manhood not when you can enjoy driving that small fun fast car because you aren't constantly questioning your manliness .

IS250, A4, 328i, C-300: All are very similar cars filling the same extremely popular market segment of refined, fast, affordable, luxury-sports sedans.

They are not designed to be "wife" cars, they are "drivers" cars, meant to go faster and handle better than their big brothers (GS, A6, 5-Series, E-Class). Unless you mean that a wives car is one that is built to slice through corners on a track with surgical precision, I would say that you don't know what you're talking about.

I have the IS250 and the video is a good representation on what the "inside" of the IS looks like. I learned a lot just watching it. Pretty good acceleration with excellent gas mileage at 31mpg (for me anyways).

Thanks, spandexgirl74, for sharing that gas mileage figure. I'm up to 30.6 mpg, and wondered if the computer was giving me accurate data. I got over 38mpg, on the car's first road trip. Don't really like the car, but it does what it's supposed to, and certainly turns heads.

@Beranabus23 You can get a learner's permit at 15 in Tennessee and many other states, and get your license at 16. However some choose to wait, I'm 18 and only have a permit.

@Beranabus23 you can have a permit at 15 (at least in Tennessee) so some kids get their first cars at 15... a friend of mine got a Lexus IS 250 in white at 15 1/2 years old. Of course, here I am a month from riding in it... lol
