@WhiiteRaven I did buy a cherrywood levitron as i show in the video. And the top im using came with that levitron, but as i say in the video, i took a magnet off a JL Audio 12" sub and use it in place of the cherrywood, to show people they may be able to make one from things they already have, instead of buying one. I wouldn't waste my time posting a fake video. You only make yourself look bad by name calling, especially when YOU are wrong.
I am trying to make a slightly different version of a mag lev device in the form of a tripod. It would help me a lot if you gave me the EXACT dimensions of your magnets so I don't have top buy a bunch i can't use. Thanks!
@michalchik I recently moved into a new place to live and my levitron is in storage, so i cant give you exact measurements. if i knew them i'd be glad to give them to ya but i dont, sorry. Next time i go to my storage building ill see if i can locate it. again sorry, and good luck.
@hairlessindian its idots like you that make YOUTUBE suck because having to get through all the bullshit videos like this. thousands and thousands of useless videos like this is was ruins YOUTUBE
@TonyMattHarrisOnfire Man i dont have time to post fake videos nor would i. I do agree that there are alot of bullshit videos, and it sucks to have your time wasted with crap but when i see a shitty video, i move on to find what im looking for. Even though a video sucks i dont leave rude comments. Bad videos are only half the problem the other half are comments that are left by ignorant ass people, especially when that ignorant ass is wrong and still to dumb to realize it.
@TheGreenPastures the top im using came with the cherrywood levitron that i bought. Its a small disc magnet maybe 1 inch across with couple pieces of plastic glued to it. it has to be magnetic.
On December 24 at 8:00 in the morning, a young 14 year old boy by the name of Scott Johnson was found dead. Doctors couldn't come up with the cause of his death. His mother checked his emails to see if she could figure out what happened. Turns out he was still signed into myspace. She found he had gone to sleep after he read and didn't repost a chain letter. If you don't repost this to six videos a girl with no face will kill you tonight. Sorry don't want to die
@hairlessindian thanks. and it means the bottom magnet has to be a toroidal one? Any random shape wont work.. I wonder if a flat disk magnet at the base will do the trick.
@TomTom40202 the base magnet is perfectly level with the earth. notice me putting some papers under the backside? using those to shim the base. if it was out of level, it simply wouldn't work.
you get a pc speaker magnet, they are about the same size as the proper levitron tops, and you get a gear from a old cd drive or wherever you can salvage one from,
trim it down to fit inside the pc speaker magnet then poke a toothpick through it or a kabab stick
i made one of these years ago and they work as good as the real thing, but the real thing looks much nicer :P
you could also probably just goto where they sell them and ask if they sell replacement tops
lier!!!! lol u bought it man!!!

@TonyMattHarrisOnfire So Please explain why this video is fake.???
hairlessindian 3 months ago
Can i just use a regular fridge magnet????
legoindianajones1000 3 months ago
@legoindianajones1000 probably as long as it's a disc magnet and you get the weight right.
hairlessindian 3 months ago
How do I make the top?? I have some neodyium magnets? Will they work? Please answer.
legoindianajones1000 3 months ago
@legoindianajones1000 yes neodyium magnets will work. You just have to get them the correct size and weight.

legoindianajones1000 3 months ago
Do you make your own spin top or buy them? and must the spin top be made of magnetic or just metal will do. How about using aluminum? Thanks

does the direction of the rotation makes a difference?
ActiveStorage 9 months ago
@ActiveStorage i dont think so. i spin it clockwise
hairlessindian 9 months ago
@hairlessindian thanks. and it means the bottom magnet has to be a toroidal one? Any random shape wont work.. I wonder if a flat disk magnet at the base will do the trick.
ActiveStorage 9 months ago
@ActiveStorage Na wont work. Has to be a toroidal. Although you could use 4 disk magnets to create a toroidal magnetic field and it will work.

@hairlessindian thank you

if you leveled it with the earth (its gravity) the top would be balanced directly over the magnet and keep going longer

@laffoutloud086 the top is just a flat disc magnet with a piece glued on it to spin it but i tried making my own and its difficult

@i7Gam3r why am i an idiot. please explain.
nystagmus 2 years ago
@nystagmus cuz You should know that a magnet never looses its power if it just stands there. so it could last forever. :P
i7Gam3r 2 years ago
so the spin lasts forever? ladies and gentlemen i7gam has found yet another "perpetual motion machine"- thank you for solving the fuel crisis.
sir you are "forever idiot"
