in 1.1 dont work any more, so let the program doo his work, create the file. then if you have create it, right clic on the file, then click edit, then you see @echo off

@seaboard22 Try changing your time on your computer, I had the same problem, just because my computer time was wrong. Try changing it to the real time, if that's not the problem I can't help.

i really don't get why the server software requires so much ram.. only explanation is horrible design... the fact that use use java to begin with is a big fault. there's no reason why a server like this should require more that 20-30mb of ram without any plugins.... bad, bad, developement

for people with .exe file servers, when the fix is created, just edit the .bat file you created to say minecraft_server.exe instead of minecraft_server.jar. thumbs up if this helped.
